Your English is so fluid and proper that you just sound like a professional voice actor using an accent. 🤔 Haha that's supposed to be a compliment. Thank you for this very informative video brother.
@@inmoneywetrust3292 🤣 c'mon bro, people like say like hundred like times in a sentence and end it with a "ya knowwhata mean?" on a regular basis.. like, you know what I mean?
I really hope new players won't skip the gigs and reading the shards connected to it. They're very interesting and adds a lot of world building. And what surprised me about the gigs is that Keanu Reeves actually appear in a lot of them. I thought he'd only appear on the main missions but nah.
I've clocked in like 13 hours so far and I've literally just beaten the konpeki plaza heist. The whole time I was faffing around doing gigs and cyberpsycho sightings and trying to make money. Only reason I didn't continue doing that cuz the damn game wouldn't lift the lockdown. I love the world honestly it's so interesting and filled with detail.
The one side-quest every single person should rush to do after the prologue is Misty's quest. Heroes, I believe it's called. That was my absolute favourite quest chain of the game. Misty's voice actor melts my heart, as does her character, and the growth she gets in that scene in his garage is wonderful.
The Glen apartment is pretty solid. It has coffee, shower, and bed. Coffee gives you a 20% stamina buff, shower gives you a 20% health buff, and bed gives you a 20% xp buff. Pretty solid investment for higher difficulties.
One more tip: -Always make a new, manual save right before entering Embers for the final set of missions once you get there. Sometimes, the "point of no return" auto save may trigger at the wrong moment potentionally creating a sort of loop, permanently locking you out of post-story free roam and causing other issues should "one last gig" is chosen at the end of the credits.
To anyone looking to start their first playthrough of cp2077, don’t sleep on the Corpo background. Throughout the game you’ll be given special dialogue options based on the background you pick, and, after having played through with all three, I found that Corpo had the best options. A lot of the Nomad options revolve around family, loyalty and smuggling, like you’re from Fast and Furious or sum shiz. The Street Kid options will give you insight into Night City gangs, and, as you might imagine, this version of V will be more street smart. This would be my second pick. The Corpo will give you more information on how corporations work, what they want, and how to cheat them. This version of V will be the smartest, and perhaps the most jaded of the three, and this background is a must-pick if you plan on using a netrunner/intelligence build. I highly recommend giving it a shot at some point
playing the game fresh(never finished it due to the negativity) i went with nomad enspecally after watching the anime, which made me hate corps as a whole. but one question besides dialogue optons do they give any other bonus? and in case your curious my build as of now is tech/cool with reflex and a little bit of body
@@MythicAce218 I think nomad is a great choice for your build. To answer your question, no, the benefits of corpo are from a roleplaying perspective mostly. Sometimes you’ll get alternate endings for side quests. Just try corpo if you ever do an Intelligence build
@@R.E.-Gato unfortunately i put 3 extra points into intelligence but i wss gonna put 20 tech,20, cool,10 body(to use precision and light machine guns) and the remaining into reflexe(seems to have the least value out of the 3). int is unfortunately at 6 tho
@@R.E.-Gato yea probably gonna restart anyway. now the question is do i max out reflexe and put any extra points into body or put 10 body(to use LMGs to their full potential
agreed. I am just getting back into the game after a LONG hiatus.. and never really got into it.. very nice to have these detailed videos to help get oriented.
Few more tips from me (over 1000h on game) : 1. if you dont shoot all bullets and reload, it will be much faster than on empty clip 2. all builds work in cyberpunk very nicely (but it is good idea to max out at least one or two attributes connected to them) 3. hacking is OP but kinda boring 4. there is lot of legendary clothing to be picked up for free without markers on map 5. crafting is godlike, and is worth it on most characters 6. Tech guns are great. 7. buy double jump cyberware ASAP
As someone who is too afraid to look at in-game hour count: 1. The two paths in skill tree that are viable with all builds, is reflexes and tehnical (crafting etc) - however crafting is only really needed post lvl 25 I'd say. Regular loot items outscale value of spending eddies and components to craft and upgrade existing gear until you reach the mid/late game. 2. Hacking in early game is severely underrated, hacking in late game is just straight broken lmao. 3. Sticking with one maxed out build type is exponentially better than averaging skills in the tech tree. 4. buy double jump cyberware ASAP 5. buy Extra Life cyberware (2 different kinds) ASAP 6. Value street cred highly, it's easy to achieve compared to regular lvl and opens up so many perks relatively early in the game 7. Spend time going through pre-gig info you receive on text message from fixers. Often they will explain certain conditions that may offer unique rewards if carried out properly (like don't kill X person, don't make a scene, etc)
Quick pro tip on the Smartlinks. If you use the Tyger Claw tattoo one it won't allow Smart weapons to work on Tyger Claws nor can Tyger Claws use Smart weapons on you. If you're not using a Smart weapon it's essentially best in slot. As it gives you a huge advantage against a pretty common gang in early / mid game.
I got 1k+ hours in this game and still watched it, and trust me you did a great job bro, it’s not too detailed for it to not be too much and not too broad so people can understand ♥️.
Thanks for watching, yeah original script was too detailed and video was 40 minutes long, it was just too much information, for as long as they know the basics its easy to learn on top as you play.
@@dkane2040eh it’s such a good game and good story along with if you watched edgerunners, it makes sense to just live in that world and experience as much as you can of it. I love huge city themed games and this seems to do it near perfectly. At least the best compared to any other game I’ve played. Been trying to hold off on it just to forget parts and get to experience it again. My first play through I was sad when it seemed to get to the end mission so fast so I didn’t do it and waited a bit and started it again. Doing the second run rn and it’s so good
You're definitely very intelligent for releasing this with all the new updates I'm really happy to see someone with a beginner's guide that's not over a year old!
Took a while for me to fully embrace this game. But once I understood the vision and how the whole combat system works I fell in love. The combat is super unique , I already know I’m going to make another build in my second play through now knowing what exists in this game
agree, but it's too easy... especially as a netrunner.... on all difficulties I hope they add some mechanics that limit me to use cyberware or I become cyberpsycho or something... and netrunners need a lot more layers of difficulty, it's crazy op you can't even lose :D
Me too. Just started playing a few weeks ago. At first, I was like meh. But now I can't get enough of this game. I'm taking my time with it so I can enjoy it in its entirety, and then I'm psyched for a 2nd playthrough.
I feel like it’s always left out, that if you start as Nomad, you get access to your special Nomad modified Galena at the end of chapter 1. As far as I know this is the only life path that can get this car and I love it.
Eh its great but since you can easily buy and get other cars in the game I didn't find it extremely important to mention, although it is a plus for sure.
First playthough during launch has 79 hrs and my second playthrough since the new update has 27 hrs using a throwing knife build is incredible, taking my time with gigs and ncpd objectives is amazing. Plus read the cyberpycho information and computers it'll stick with you.
totally not watching this video with 700+ hours… 😅 edit: sorry for the late reply i’ve been put of town for the past few days. i meant seven HUNDERED not thousand. sorry for the little confusion it was just a typo
@@HelplessTeno I mean not if you’ve modded the shit out of the game I’ve added like 75 mods that have given me even more gigs and stuff to do on top of the new updates. Though I’m sure lots of those hours could be afk too
@@ChrisFroemming The point isn't modding or what you can spend time on. The point is that to reach 7k hours you would literally have to play ~9-10 hours every single day of your past 2 years, no breaks, no vacation, no school or job, nothing but play the game. So let me also jump on the wagon and call bullshit :)
It's quite incredible that theres a beginner guide that has just been released after the game has been out for a long time....goes to show people have just got into it now its playable. What a turnaround from CD Red. It's my second play through and still love it and see how much its improved especially next gen version. When cd red turned round and said they wont do much more after the next patch and DLC....I'm not sure 🤔. If they see people are still playing it I reckon they will do more work to this 🤞
Yo, the Top best advices I can give to new player is: 1 Enjoy the game, it’s that good. 2 Get into the lore 3 Spec your Character and stick with it 4 Turn on that radio 5 Turn on Photo mode From that one crazy Choom who Platinum the game on his goddamn PS4 before the patches
Literally downloaded this yesterday, played for the very first time this morning. 2 hours in, obviously haven’t even scratched the surface, but so far very impressed.
Little thing.. the outfit slot isn't "useless" it's your cosmetic tab where you go to change your look (but not stats) to whatever preset look you have saved from your wardrobe in your house (which saves the look of every item you've found). Keeps you from looking like a mismatched bum throughout the entire game if that's something that matters to you
Outfits are not useless. You can create outfits in your wardrobe in your apartment then use them as a skin. So you can look the way you want and not worry about adding armor pieces that look a certain way. So pick the best armor regardless of how it looks and just use outfits for your in game look
13:02 there's also that 3rd type of enhanced jump which reduces fall speed, which players might not find depending on their choices during (iirc) the main quests in Act 2.
My favorite starter was Corpo. There are several dialogue options where you can just be very blunt and semi threatening which gets you an immediate answer that you want. I don't know about the other 2 options but this works best for me personally.
For the crafting I would upgrade each rarity to its max, which makes it disappear which means it’s at its max upgrade for each rarity. Before crafting it to a higher rarity and rinse and repeat. This will guarantee it’s at its strongest. Especially for iconic gear.
Would you mind elaborating in a bit more detail, please? I would highly appreciate it. On my first playthrough so I’m slightly overwhelmed. I’m kinda trying to only use Iconic gear so I’m upgrading my crafting ability to hopefully some day make everything I have legendary. For example I want to use Skippy and Jackie’s pistols or anything else you could recommend like a shotgun, sniper or LMG?
Thank you this was so helpful 😅 it was overwhelming for me to jump straight into the game without a clue on how this game works, it throws so much at you at once, very helpful video
Loot everything and everyone, be it white, green, purple, yellow, red or black and sell or disassemble them for components and also dont forget to explore especially in story and quests locked areas. And you can also use the recent 1.6 money glitch if you are low on eddies. Focus on technical first at least 18 for crafting legendary items. Or you can totally ignore all this and play the game on your own pace and learn all the mechanics as you go along.
I'd personally advice on focusing on other aspects with your lvl points up til at least lvl 25-30. The rate of progression will offer you better loot items than what is worth crafting anyways, so it's generally a pure waste of eddies and components to craft and upgrade iconic weapons early in the gameplay loop (unless you have a specific item that is immensely strong/has a unique ability that synergizes well with the character build you're going for - like Satori's katana for example). After lvl 25 or 30 I would however strongly consider speccing into technical to unlock high end crafting abilities to set yourself up for the strongest end-game path. Nothing worse than being unable to craft and upgrade your best iconic gear to their highest level because you didn't spec into technical early enough. For netrunner builds it's quite different tho but thats another talk and probably not really what a new player is looking for, even though it's undeniably the strongest build type for late game.
Honestly, after returning post 1.6, the game feels like a remake rather than a patch. Now just waiting to see the dlc dealing (are least a bit) with the ending and expending it. After "The Sun" ending and the importance of the moon in Edgerunner, I don't know how I'll cope if that portion of the story is left untouched! 😅
Perfect beginners guide. Kind of envy people who are just getting into the game after Edgerunners. Must be a magical experience, coming from the anime and then finally getting to play a cyberpunk.
The self ice cyberware negates all enemy quick hacks against you. That's a great one to have. And there is also a hover hump cyberware where u would put the double or charge jump and the hover jump is actually very useful
Quick Overview on stats: BODY: more health and stamina points, hp regen perks melee weapons and fists scale with this stat. Car jacking scales with this skill. Gorilla Arms, Shot guns and light machine guns scale here. This is the “Tank(solo)” stat REFLEX: this is actually the stat that makes you move, run faster the higher the stat the faster you will move and sneak. Swords, mantis blades, and knives dmg also scales here. stamina reduction, pistols/magnums/rifles scale here as well. TECH: crafting, unlocking doors, charged (Tech) weapons scale here. Breaking into parked cars scales on this skill as well. More damage to mechs and droids. Increases damage grenades. Resisted damage you take from environmental hazards as well as making you immune to your own grenade status effects ( you still take dmg from the explosions though) probably has the most in game dialog options of any other tree INTELLIGENCE: this is the Netrunner (mage) tree, your cyber deck and hacking skills scale here along with all your quickhacks and breeches (spells). Cyberdeck point regen, breech protocol time is effected by this stat as well. COOL: this is your stealth/ninja class, sneak and detection, quiet takedowns, knife throwing, more damage to human enemies, poisons and stats and crits all scale h with this tree. Mono wire implants scale with this.
I don't know if this still a thing in the game, but at least from what I read long ago, if you knock your enemies down but don't kill them (via kiroshi optics mod making your attacks non-lethal), and afterwards you kill them you get double the xp || Another tip is to instantly make your vehicle appear, just double jump and while in the air call your vehicle. Played a lot and discovered these stuff
Corpo path is more motivational and logical than the rest 2. For example in corpo path Jackie saves you. That's a good reason why he became your best friend. While in the other pathes he is just some dude.
I feel like with Nomad path the incentive is always to leave the city, yet your gameplay keeps dragging you into it - kinda backwards. Imo corpo is also probably the most close-to-story path that is logical, or street kid - but mostly corpo. Makes sense wanting to stick it to the city higher ups after being thrown out unceremoniously after busting your ass for them for so long.
3rd run. Simply the best! 1. Assault. 2. Netrunner. 3. Gunslinger w arm rocket x3. Challenge accepted Do ALL sides and randoms. Sleep = xp boost. Make sure to save a lot and especially if your going ro reset core attributes. Remember you only get 1 core reset. Hope helps. 🐇🐇
Thanks for such a succinct video. I have played through once already, and am going through a second time, but still found the video informative and entertaining. Also, FYI, the outfits section in the inventory tab isn't just to put on onesies like netrunner clothing or chemsuits. It's also a way to change between your saved trans-mogs at any time, whether you're at your wardrobe or not. Just a nice qol perk to have a few setup ahead of time for different situations if you like to really roleplay your V.
It wasn't an option when I started making this video, transmog wasn't even a feature that's why I said it's useless, because it was prior to it but by the time final footage was added when transmog was a thing I forgot to update that part of the audio. Thanks for watching.
They just put out a 5 hour trial on PSN (which I know is not even close to enough time), so This guide will be super helpful in helping me get the most out of the trial before I decide on buying or not. Thanks!
Just a quick correction: power weapons do the ricochet, tech weapons do the wall piercing. Personally, I love using ping to highlight enemies and taking them out with a tech sniper rifle (at least when there are no cameras I can hack and just watch them all panic when my quickhacks start taking them out one by one without ever lifting a finger).
I just picked this game up, many thanks. It all seem overwhelming though for a casual gamer. Hope I pick game play up quickly. Gosh, hope there is an 'easy level' 🤣
Hi, I'm new to cyberpunk and was about to do my first playthrough, and I was wondering, for my first playthrough I wasnt planning on investing much or even anything into the Tech attribute point, does this mean it will be impossible to get legendary items/gear/weapons? or is there an option if you decide not to do any crafting that you can then buy these legendary items instead vs having to craft them? or are you forced to go into invest into tech if you ultimately want to have the best end game items and gear? any response would be much appreciated since I know how how detailed and big this game is, dont want to start a playthrough yet before knowing more about the crafting and if tech is 100 percent a must
It depends really on one playthrough I have tech skills very high and can craft anything but on the other I relied on getting and buying weapons. Both are good, you won't be forced into it, you just have to adapt your playstyle differently.
@@LastKnownMeal Awesome, thanks for the reply. Good to know their is versatility in that regard, love that the game really allows you to play any sort of playstyle that you want
I skipped on so many gigs and side quests early on. I dearly regret it now after having played the saddest ending and watched Edgerunners… I envy those coming fresh to the game so bad, so listen to the man carefully and play those gigs fam!
@@knip-pink You didn't think you'd also get skill and atrribute points to upgrade your character, by doing gigs and side quests?😅 That's why I did a lot of them first, in order to level up quick to get my street cred up. I had Takemura waiting at that diner for weeks🤣
@@shinbakihanma2749 😂😂😂 yh I just went all out with just a katana and a few knives 🔪 And ever since the last update that blade playstyle has been lot’s of fun too
Super early in the game and I’m put in a mission where I’m confronted with a dozen gunmen who shoot through cover, four seconds and I’m dead. It’s telling me there’s someone hacking me but before I can even look at an enemy it’s game over. I honestly thought they had fixed the game.
Great video for new players coming to the game now! There are two more leg cyberware One that allow you to hover middle jump, and one more to allow no walking sounds.
Explained very well. This is the way to do a video that helps those who are interested. Not just driving around in the game as a mute that don't speak showing how well you drive. Thx again and really good video.
Remember to play around with the photo mode too, there's a 2nd photo mode contest from CDPR going on. I'm to lazy to remove my mods, so usually not into those contest. lol
I'm 7 hours in, and loving it so far. The graphics look great and I only have a 1060. Not sure what build I'm doing so this first run will probably be bad 😅
I wish that this would become an option once you hit lvl 50 where you're effectively in the post- endgame and nothing to further improve. Would be nice if we could freely respec our character entirely to try out different builds and options that weren't available to us during the mid game. Like a nice reward for putting in the hours.
Hey there! I've been having some trouble running Cyberpunk 2077 on my computer. It's been a bit of a struggle with performance issues and lag. I've been following your channel for a while and really appreciate the insights you provide. I was wondering if you could consider making a video showcasing how Cyberpunk 2077 performs on Boosteroid. It would be really helpful to see if the game runs smoothly on that platform and if it could be a viable alternative for those of us experiencing difficulties on our own systems. Keep up the great work! Thanks!
I don't know how it runs on that specific platform but generally streaming is fine for as long as you have good internet. If you have the game you can play it through geforce now as well, but again your internet speed and quality of that connection will determine it.
@@glitterghost haha. I’ve got about 70 hour on it now and I’m loving it. It there’s a lot to get used to but it’s such a blast when you get going. Have fun 👍
I just started playing last week, got about 6 hours in. Trying to do some side missions before the main mission ramps up. The mechanics of the game feel sincerely overwhelming compared to what I'm used to. So many mechanics and so many hot keys, really hard to get used to. Feels like not enough tutorial as well. I went to go drive around the city to get a feel for it and got annihilated by an impromptu firefight from a creature that just swarmed me like the flash. Plus an initial sidegig to kill the guy in Ho-Oh just seems way too difficult right off the bat.
Great video! I would mention that your HUD was limited so people understand that different weapons actually have indicatora tied to the reticle.. Smart Weapons let you lock onto specific body parts. Power Weapons have on-screen arrows that show the ricochet path and if you'll successfully hit an enemy, which will be highlighted in green. Also, using it around corners and off the environment (not floor) is the purpose!
Hud was on during most gameplay scenes, only for cinematic ones it was off. For smart weapons I mentioned lock on but yeah I did forget body parts and I have showed that ricochet part plus outline of people that you shoot, shooting in the floor was to show how bullets fly up close. Thanks for watching.
@@LastKnownMeal thank you for your work man! just wanted to point out the one thing I noticed that might not have been clear for a newcomers that will start with the reticle on by default
Even if I’m fully aware that cyberpunk still has its minor issue on old Gen Xbox one it’s actually pretty incredibly playable and I just got back into it and I recently got David’s jacket and I’m enjoying the game despite very minor glitches that don’t really happen often as much as it use to right now it’s yes still problematic with its system runs but so far I’m experiencing a very fun play session only when I’m not in party sessions with friends lol it will run smoothly
Thanks, played at launch on ps4 and loved it even tho it ran like shit, picking it up again now that its better optimized and because of the netflix show.
what skills/attributes should I upgrade if i want to be stealth/pistol? want to be able to use all the slow motion skills, started playing on PS5 lastnight 😅
Agreed, it could use an overhaul. Right now power weapons lack the "power" element and all in all are just straight inferior to their tech counterparts. What if they instead had increased knockback, where for example X consecutive hits would knock an enemy to the ground or maybe consecutive hits deal more damage with each shot etc. The ricochet feature is nice in theory but utterly useless in practice (or at least it's so inferior to alternatives that it makes little sense to make it part of your playstyle).
Good stuff and I REALLY hope the modding community gets to work on this bc there's so much that needs to be tweaked. The abandoned humanity system for one that actually has consequences for cyberware. There's still WAY too much that is OP in this game.
The builds in this game are fun my build is what I describe as a weapons master I put a lot of my points in reflexes, technical abilities and cool. So most my guns are crafted I go in silent but if I'm spotted I have good enough guns to handle it so very much I'd say a john wick style were I mostly use pistols and rifels with some focus on the crafting system
