You know what's fucked up about these guys? They're not actually robots.... They're cyborgs. Like, they were cloned from the real Sonic and friends.... But not fully, just the brains, which were put into these metal shells. Talk about an existential crisis in the making.

This stupid attempt to try and explain a bunch of random episodes with absolutely no context is exactly why I love this show

Pup and Nick arguing with each other, with one being calm while the other’s voice splicing the other has to be one of my favourite moments in this video

I love that the end of Mecha March Madness, we get to see how the Sonic Boom TV Show is testing Nicks sanity in less than a few minutes of this video… 😅

Kinda disappointed that Cybonic and Metal Sonic didn’t meet each other. Would have liked to see how Cybonic pokes fun at how he’s way more like the real Sonic than Metal is.

Nick loosing his mind at the absurdity of Sonic Boom and Pup combined had me wheezing, good work you two.

I still think I prefer a Metal Sonic‘s personality, since he comes across as everything sonic isn’t. Sonic is heroic, snarky, is a bit of a loudmouth, and cares about nature and its animals, while metal sonic is cold, calculating, brutal, rarely talks, and will happily stomp on living creatures and use them for his own purposes (i.e. hoping Eggman scare off woodland creatures in Sonic CD, kidnapping the Chao in Heroes, and draining the wisp in Sonic Color: ROTW). However with all that said, even though I don’t think sonics personality would work for Metal Sonic I’m more than happy to see that personality production with a different robot sonic.

The Tails from Sonic Boom was a pretty mad scientist interpretation of the character, in fact he was a hairs breadth away from being evil. I mean, think about the implications of him making Cyborg Sonic and the others, they have organic brains, what does that even MEAN?! Did Tails clone his friends, extract their brains, put them in mechanical bodies, and possibly alter their mental conditioning so Sticks wouldn't tear herself apart, and put in a programming block to prevent them from realizing how monstrous this act must have been? Or maybe he went full Eggman and there is a small animal inside the robots, whose minds have been overwritten with appropriate backstory? Or did Tails take some stem cells from his friends to grow a rudimentary neural net which he made act like himself and his friends? If he could do THAT he could pretty much just grow custom organs or do literally ANYTHING!

As a boom fan nothing warms my heart more than seeing people clown on this mess of a sub-franchise

The episode to save the rec center was specifically a parody of the 80s dance film, Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. Yes, that's where that dumb title came from. And yes, they try to save a rec center (or youth center, who cares) by dancing. I ❤ Sonic Boom.

Man. They really turn an episode of Mecha March Madness into an actually madness

I feel like if Cybonic was introduced in the IDW comics or the Adventure series it could have some major potential. Maybe as a new model of Metal Sonic, see Mecha Sonic, see Sliver Sonic, see etc. etc. or a different type of badnik that has a higher intelligence then from the originals. Just my opinion of course, great video as always Game Apologist! :')

You know I was listening to Sunset City a couple seconds ago and you guys wanted to do a crossover. Well damn, you guys did it!!

So my daughters have been watching this lately, so I was able to follow along with the recap, but I almost wish I could have heard it without any context. I can only imagine how much more I would have laughed! 🤣🤣🤣

Not gonna lie I think this is a pretty cool Robot, err, Cyborg Sonic. Don’t get me wrong I do have a number of issues with the boom series, but overall thought it was a pretty cool alternate take on sonic the hedgehog. Cyborg sonic would definitely be up there with concepts I really liked them exploring. Now if only they did more with him.

Cyborg Sonic is unironically one of my favorite robot Sonics. Just the concept of a Sonic robot that has Sonic's exact personality has so much room for exploration.

A metal Sonic that mimics Sonic's personality? Metal Sonic literally parodied his iconic "oh no you didn't" finger wave just before the race on stardust speedway

The fact that this was released on March the 31st, but I'm watching on April Fools feels fitting. XD Also Pup was REALLY funny to see in this episode. Especially being so passionate here and Nick just wanting to move things along. And Nick's mental breakdown was even better than that one he did in one of his old Game Apologist episodes (I think it was Sonic 1).🤣 I love how we see the interesting commentary and pondering later on, thinking about this version of Sonic Robot is basically and "artificial/synthetic" version of Sonic himself. Interesting stories and themes could've been explored. Maybe someone will come alone and do that in the future. Maybe even Sonic Prime might do something similar.

The Cybonics would’ve been way more interesting if the boys on the team disappeared/ went missing for a week and the Cybonic counterparts were made by Tails to replace their rolls in the event of the scenario. Due to their programming not being finalised, the Cybonics basically act as their Jock Mode versions from the original episode and cause nuisance to the Hedgehog Towm populous, especially towards Amy and Sticks.

another thing about Cybonic, is the reason he was created because Eggman has his robot control robot Team Sonic and there 2 new robot friends, create robot replicas with the organic DNA of Team Sonic, to make them not 100% robot and so immune to the robot control robot

As a New Jersey native, I had to look up the Wiki to see if the city was really called Morristown and Roboken or if it was some really weird New Jersey joke and imagine my surprise when it's actually called those.

Honestly this episode still works well for an April Fools video. It was basically one long punchline to get to the crux of the joke, which is not something you see in other episodes of this series. So honestly, it's a win-win either way.

Modern Pup Nick > Classic Nick. Although I’m not a fan of the Meta era that the Game Apologist Channel has been heading towards, I will say that I understand why the decisions are being made from a marketing standpoint.

"Mombot" appeared in the episode of the same name, which aired on April 1st, 2017, then went on to appear in episodes after that. As a _Sonic Boom_ Apologist myself, *GOD DAMN IT, I DON'T CARE! I WANT SONIC BOOM BACK!* It still has a lot of untapped potential as an subset-franchise and a official AU of the greater _Sonic the Hedgehog_ franchise. It has so many great ideas and concept that can be fleshed and make this modern westernized AU take on the Sonic universe really stand out, and Cyborg Sonic and the rest of Team Cybonic are proof of that. It think it has storytelling potential beyond it's comedy roots, and episodes like the "Robots From the Sky" story arc is proof of that & other examples outside of the TV show. The _Sonic the Hedgehog_ franchise is more synergized now as a brand across all mediums, and that's *fantastic* , but it wouldn't hurt to have something different from the norm.
