I watch just about every cycling RU-vidr, but Thomas, you’re by far the most promising new talents on the scene. Your content is so fun and entertaining and I always finish your videos spoiling for a hard ride myself. Chapeau on a great result on this challenge and keep the footage coming!
Great stuff - flying - nice to relive the event through your video (I spotted myself as you whizzed past very early on) - did the Gran Fondo route a few years back pre-COVID and came back to do the Devil this year. You're right about the weather though - it had been VERY warm on the days leading up to the event and it did look like the weather was really gonna take a turn for the worse on the day of the event, but it never materialised - there was some rain overnight, but except for a few damp roads, it had mostly cleared up by the start. Managed to get around in one piece, no mechanicals, no punctures and no injuries - box ticked! 💥💥💥
Incredible ride, incredible effort. Making friends on the road for the day is one of the great things to these events and really gets you through these sorts of days. 🏴🏴🏴
Effort !!! Inspirational!! Thomas You are truly a brilliant bike 🚴 rider and thanks for entertaining… loved the ice-cream stop .. goes to show you are truly real 👏👏👏🙌💯🚴
Smashed it mate! I was also on the devil but finished with a way slower time of 14hrs 15min and had to have a word with myself a few times! It was very nice to revisit it all through this video
I was there with you at the start didn’t know who your were then so proper weird.. I had only been riding 2 years when I took on that beast the devil is no joke and fell apart I’m tears as I crossed the line. I had lost my motivation recently and now after watching this .. I’m gagging to get back to this fitness again .. cheer bro 🙌❤️
Cracking video as always and a brute of a ride, hopefully I'll be doing one of the shorter routes next year. Done my first 100 miler at the start of the month and included the Rhigos and the Bwlch, epic climbs with stunning views at the top and legendry descents. So lucky to have these and so much more on my doorstep, although I probably ride them a little slower than you can 😂 Congratulations on the growth of the channel and the Prime opportunity, deserved recognition for the work you put in and the great content you produce, keep up the good work mate 👍
Just bumped into your channel and LOOOOVVVVEEEE that intro!!!! Well, the pain's real, no pain no gain on a whole new level dished out by the one and only, bicycle...
Great vid , good to see the dragon on the tube! Done this ride aswel so it's nice to see great footage of it ,thanks. Big shout out to prime! Get it together Haribo!
As the norm a great filmed and edited piece of work your next production surely will include Hollywood. Thanks Thomas remember us when the call comes !!!
I’ve done the 230km route a couple of times and that’s hard enough. The thought of the Staircase on top of that scares the sh1t out of me. Top effort mate and thanks for the brilliant entertainment
New to the channel - love it - ashamed to say they are all my Local roads but never rode the dragon 🤨 freezing my butt off right now but thinking that’s my 2024 goal - nice one !!
Another cracking video. Great effort! The Welsh Epic is definitely worth a look to those that haven’t seen it. Congrats on the Prime deal. Amazing to see the progression of the channel. “I love cycling”. Well done!
I ve been into bike for 2 years now. For sure the adventure the bike gives is the most value for me but i am also i little bit of a stats geek and avg 30km/h on 296 km trip. OMG what a beast! Unbelievable for me. Great intro btw.
I will be honest when I first stumbled across your channel I didn’t want to like your videos. Not anything against you but for the fact I don’t have time in my life for watching more RU-vid and not ride my bike😂 But truth be told you definitely are producing the best content right now! You’re such a down to earth fella, I wish you all the success for this channel…..now upload another video as I’ve watched them all! 💪🏻😎
I did the Grand Fondo, didn't have the courage or fitness for the devil after only cycling for a year, maybe in a couple of years time. This video brings back some good memories.
This was a bitter sweet video for me to watch, I rode the Gran Fondo and unfortunately had a crash on the descent of the Rhygos. Required me to have emergency knee surgery which I had in Swansea. Been in a leg brace on the sofa since!!! Great vlog though, good to look back on the scenery despite the bad ending!
I always track in miles. I’m all for metric in construction etc, but distances for travel are far easier in imperial. I swear metric is just to sound like they’ve gone further 😂👍🏻
Nicely done sir! I also rode the devil last month too - about 90 mins slower than you though 😅 Really enjoyed watching this as it captures a lot of the essence; the countryside is utterly magical on this route and I’d echo what you say … if anyones thinking of doing it: do it!
Great Video Thomas tattooing cyclist! Reminds me of my organized Grouprides in Germany called RTF, keeping uo with the Top-Group and sometimes have to let go:) Cheers
First Time i comment something on RU-vid ! I have been binging your Channel due to Covid … F@#& Covid… Your videos are awesome and brilliant keep going on ! See you on the Road maybe here in the North of France or anywhere 😎
I have done the gran fondo, but I will do the devil one day. Love a long day in the saddle no matter how hard it is (afterwards) 😂. The last one I did it was in hailstorms and rain so was a brute. If sunshine you are lucky. Great video bruv
When I did the Dragon ride some years back the mountains didn't bother me, it was the last climb out of Neath that I didn't know about that seemed to go on forever and ever!
GREAT videos buddy, you're truly inspiring many of us! Hey, what camera are you using when you're looking and speaking to us while you're riding? Thanks💪
Loving the content. You don't tend to do bad videos do ya! looked like a hard ride that one but you smashed it out the park as per normal - when are you coming up to Scotland to do some rides?? also congrats on the partnership with Prime - it's all coming together nicely now isnt it.
i once managed to do a 10 hour 300 km ride. true story, however it was entirely due to luck with the wind that day all i did was spin for 10 hours at a leisurely effort
Hi, i like your vlog. 183mi=300km. A long distance. I see your breakfast is rich in calories, but I want to ask you, in addition to ice cream, what is the supply along the way? You are really awesome. I'm sure I can't ride down. In Chinese, you are “牛逼”(It's mean awesome)👍. Like your vlog, like your bike, like your benz E, like your English accent.................................
Depends on the length… if it’s a long one like this, then work you way up towards doing longer distances and probably the most important would be getting your nutrition dialled in…
