This is the 30 Day Cycling Challenge. I cycled every day for thirty days on an indoor cycle for a total of over 2000K, over 2 hours per day on average, with pretty great results in terms of body transformation, considering I was not holding back on my diet at all.

(7/4/23) Quick question. If your working out hard, where is the sweat? I mean.... Overall, when someone bikes for such a long time, they would be sweaty.

I'm 55 years old. I cycle to the office every day. It's a 20km round trip 5 days a week. I weighed 94kgs when I started and I'm currently weighing 79kgs.You just inspired me to up the milage a bit. Thanks man.

It's not the weight but the combination of muscle, water and fat in the body. Therefore it doesn't help to starve since people will just loose water and muscle mass.

Wow. I have been recently cycling for one hour per day but since you've cycled 2 hours per day for 30 DAYS, it really got me motivated and I tried cycling 2 hours a day and it was really exhausting but it got me energetic and confident for the rest of the day. Thanks! I will keep going!

I started biking in December 2021, not stationary, weight 104kg [roughtly 228lbs] for 3 months, and weighed 91kg as of yesterday [3/25/22]. This workout is coupled with healthy eating. I wholeheartedly agree with you. Discipline makes a lot of difference. Cheers, Sven!

Been cycling for 4 years and lost 250 pounds in the last 4 years and freed me from all the things I couldn't do then that I can do now It really made a big difference in fitness and health i love cycling outside in the heat it really pushed me hard.

Great job! I cycle to work 2-3 times a week, 30 miles round trip each time. It's not easy, but it is fun. I'm also taking supplements and I'm trying to eat just one meal a day. I'm currently at 193lbs, down from 200lbs. I lost 7 pounds in two weeks already. My goal is getting down to 170lbs by end of summer. Oh yeah, I'm also incorporating a full body dumbbell workout on the days I don't cycle in to work. I'm serious about my lifespan and healthspan.

I'm gonna update my stats as inspired from the video. Current weight: 90.2 kg Target: 75 kgs Wed, July'6, 2022. Going on a 1 hr bicycling regimen everyday. Weekly stats: Week 1: 90.2 kg Week 2: 89.8 kg Week (...) 24 Oct: 78kg Will increase to 2 hrs/day after watching this video!

3 Things I noticed that changed my ass lol. 1. Make sure that the seat is good for your body, there are many types of seats for different body styles. 2. Make sure that the seat positioning is proper so that you put pressure on the right spots. and 3. Wear padded shorts.

I have been cycling for a month and half. I used to get exhausted and hungry in the beginning. 15-20 km a day outdoor and about 40 push ups. Reduced weight from 69 to 66 kg. Will continue.

I lost around that much by dieting for around 2 weeks. I think im gonna start dieting and weight training imo. Cardio is nice but it I feel it isnt the best for weight loss

@@honkhonk8009 yes, it is the best, u could burn like 2k cal a day and not gain weight, if you're lazy, just say it, diets stunt growth and reduce muscle mass

Nice job! I have been biking at least 5 days a week for the past 3 months. Your 2 hours a day every day is making me work harder, one method I used to get over the monotony was using my VR headset and watching youtube videos of cycling, there are quite a bit and many in 360 in different parts of the world! Sightseeing, and exercise at the same time. Keep it up!

I am 50 years old and In spring 2020 I decided to ride everyday for a month. I did it, but carried on until the end of the summer. At the end I had done well over 4000kms and had lost 15kgs in weight. My average speed was up from about 20kmh to 35kmh over a hour. Doing the same this year. Being super fit is such a great feeling

I rode my spin bike everyday in December 2021, working on January 2022. It does not have to be complicated , I set a timer for one hour, watch whatever you tube videos that catch my eye, and pedal. I don’t monitor my rides, dont count my calories, , I just ride for one hour every morning then go do whatever. I am 64, self employed seasonal business owner and do woodcarving in the winter, and ski. I was not “fat”, before getting back into riding MTB this summer, but since riding/ spinning I have dropped back into my old pants that had gotten too tight, back into the tee shirts that fit too snug and the love handles are rapidly vanishing!!! As a self employed person, discipline has been a top priority, no go- no pay….committing to goals helps me get what I want out of my life. Hell, if I continue to wood carve every day all winter, I just might have the fanciest pile of firewood anyone has ever seen! Set a goal, hit it, then pick the next one.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us! It feels so good to be able to set a goal and meet it😊 I have just started up spinning again after a year break due to gym closures, and Im loving it! My goal for the week is 3-4times, plus I do power yoga the other days and winter activities once a week like snowshoeing and hikes in the snow. Seriously, feeling the best I have since my early 20s (Im 45). I think the key is finding activities you LOVE and that make you FEEL great, then it comes more naturally:)

Congratulations on finishing. It would be interesting to see the results had there been a rest day included (1 per week). The body needs time to recover and repair otherwise fitness levels can stagnate or even decrease as muscles get fatigued.

I'm doing 30 minutes a day every day and I'm tired afterwards. Of course I am overweight (265lbs) but I'm on my 3rd week of doing it and its getting way easier. Noticed more lung capacity and wanting to ride a little longer than usual. In 2 weeks I'll be doing my first mountain bike trail instead of gravel roads and the one big hill around town

I'm going to start tomorrow...first I'll start off at 20 minutes a day then after a month, I'll move up to 30 minutes, then eventually 45 minutes, 1 hour, etc....

Yep, proper cycling shorts (~ $100) will make an ENORMOUS difference. Also, you did this all on a crappy exercise bike. Imagine if you had a decent regular bike ($2000) mounted to an indoor trainer? I listen to podcasts. Good work!

This is so motivating. A lot of people have discouraged me from buying a stationery bike and have advised me to go to the gym instead. I live in a traffic congested city and to get to the nearest gym, I'll have to waste 2-3hrs so its not practical for my busy schedule. Plus I'm too self conscious of my weight to be around fit people. This is a great option for me.

I'm sure you already know this but try to avoid the ones with built-in tablets like Peloton. Sooner or later, those tablets will show their age and become borderline unusable. It's much better to get one with a tablet mount. That way you can put any device you want there provided it fits.

I bought a basic magnetic bike today as my room hasnt much space plus budget is tight. Came across your video as i was trawling through to see other peoples experienes/ advice. You've definitely given some sound advice, and 3kg weight loss without changing your diet isnt bad at all. Will give an update later on. My day 1 starts tomorrow..fingers crossed!

@@soullocker1864 Started on the 7th so 8 days cycling so far not including my off days. I will weigh myself when i reach 15 days workout. At the moment i do 45mins cycling alternating my speed and i manage 20km. Coupled with some sensible eating im hoping to see some difference. Will update later.

Have a fan cooling you off while you cycle indoors. Also, cycling outside usually allows you to stand up out of the saddle to cycle uphill or to speed up. That gives you a variation in posture preventing you from getting sore.

That’s a lot of work in 30 days! You might like to build in recovery days and periodization for your next challenge. These principles allow you to make sustainable performance gains across a season and year over year.

This is awesome! I have just recently lost my car in an accident so I’m biking everywhere. But I also have an apartment gym so today was the start of my challenge on the stationary bike at the gym. I currently weigh 140lbs idk how much I’ll lose but let’s see at the end of this challenge! Thank you for sharing this honestly it gave me some more motivation

Those numbers are very off. You were not biking at nearly 40 km/h or doing that distance in 2 hrs per day. That's faster than elite cyclists and basically a marathon daily, which would take 6+ hours at least. Commend the work though.

Like I said, the metrics of the bike are to be taken with a serious grain of salt. I did cycle with very high intensity on average.

I biked 6,000 miles in one year. It was the hardest thing I ever did, but I lose about 30 pounds and really toned up. I would recommend biking to anyone. It is the best exercise. I was biking 100-150 miles a week. Like I said, it was so hard, but I had the time and the right equipment to help me. Biking changed my life.

i been cycling 1 hr everyday in the morning and weight training at night on my rest days i still like to go cycling for 1 hr. you motivated me to try 2 hrs today on my rest day ! also 1 hr cycling really helps body fat has dropped and muscle are showing more i will be probably adding 3 days of 2 hr cycling this week coming up

I've always been a fat kid. Last year I reduced my weight from 82kgs to 63kgs (lowest ever). Unfortunately I tore my ACL and meniscus while playing Basketball and had to go through surgery. Now I'm back to square one. I'm doing the same thing you did but I do 15 mins of HIIT twice everyday. Enjoyed watching the video. 👍

Love your commitment to this! We actually tried the 100 push ups for 30 days and it was okay, but as you said, you start to feel unmotivated. On top of that we were having our workout schedule for the week. It was the absolute worst on chest days as we were doing double duty chest. Thinking about bringing it back. Maybe adding some sort of core element. For people who were cycling as much as you, we heard you could potentially get bruised between the thighs. Did you ever experience that? Looks like you experienced some sore butt :(. Congrats on your 30 day challenge! Thanks for sharing! Butt pads for the win! HAHA.

I was a beach ball on middle school. Over the summer I did 15 lbs dumbells, ran 45 mins to an hour. And I dropped so much weight.

impressive man. what resistance level did you have the bike on while you did this? i want to know what setting so i can try it out too. i know its going to be different resistance levels because each bike is different especially that one being 15yrs old, but still.

Been doing the nike for 3 weeks now, I worked my way up to where I did an hour today. I Also did the treadmill for an hour after. Felt so great.

Great video but I did the math, and you’re telling me you were cycling 38 kilometers constantly for 2 hours a day? My max is is 12 kilos an hour rn tbh

Thank you! Ah yes I did on this old hometrainer and in low resistance. I really cycled quite intensely and this cycle always is quite generous with speed estimations haha

I am cycling myself and even with my current weight of 100 kilograms I am still able to walk like 16 kilometres in 1 hour (I looked it up on my strava) and my current record of cycling(uphill) is like 15kilometres in about 47 minutes, so I think that inside it is even more possible to cycle 38kms or even more in 1 hour))

About 2 weeks ago I bought an old exercise bike that also moves your arms. I was on it everyday for the first week but then I got covid and can't do much of anything. Definitely need to start slow and build up week by week. Fun to watch but not the right way to do it.

One thing that will destroy your legs faster is seat position. Raise it until your legs are almost straight while on pedals!

Quite hard. Hard to say exactly but generally high effort, high rpm. I was on the edge most of the time of not being able to talk.

Just started doing this myself but with a real bike outdoors. It fits in perfectly with my hobbies of bike maintenance and doing constant sweaty laundry. Screw cars I make my own drive.

That's awesome! I recently got problem on my left knee, need a joint friendly low impact workout so I started cycling to keep myself on shape. I cycle 4 days a week, and do other low impact cardio workouts and resistance training on the other 3 days.

@@SirDella I recommend going to the gym for sure! My upper body muscles were developed there and in my years as a swimmer. The cycling just helped shed fat which made general muscular development from the past more visible as well as train/tone legs. :)

Hey man, nice! I just bought a great indoor bike to lose some weight. Would you suggest padded shorts AND / OR a padded seat? Will padd on padd will be too wobbly, so better to just have a regular seat and padded shorts? CHeers!

Bit late to this. I'm only 15 I ride 5hrs every day. But I ride on my Carrera in the country side so it is quite hilly which makes it hard work after a little while. But it goes to show no matter how much you ride your bike for daily it will still be tiring

Everage speed of 40km/h? This are tour the france race times :) You meed at least 370watts to evarage at 40km/h. How many watts did show up on the bike computer?

Bad ody fat and face fat can be removed by working out hard and alot of sweating out the body and face sweat so all bad body toxics and Baf fats comeout and u can become normal

Nutrition is key and could have improved my results dramatically. Try to eat healthy foods and also plan in some rest days. Cycling loads every single day is tough to maintain, both physically and mentally, and ideally you'd want your lifestyle to change, and not just a temporary diet/workout regime
