The roads look way better around your area. Here in South Cheshire the roads I ride on are an inch deep in mud, and the bacon butties and full English are definitely cheaper 😁 great video again Daz!!
That's the thing Diana, any decent country lane is caked in mucky muck these days. My bike was a discrace after the ride. Thanks for watching again and for the comments we all appreciate them.
Awesome loop that Daz, Yorkshire is punishing in the wet, tough hills and hard in the brakes downhills. Massive Kudos for riding up them hills setting up camera going back cycling past to get the shot then going back to get the camera especially on them distance rides 👍
Thanks for the Feedback Jimbo, it's all part of trying to tell the story as it unfolds on the day. Living around here you can't go far without going up a hill.
Keep looking to do a ride over to Holmfirth but it's not going to be this year now, every route works out around 7k ft of climbing, winter training is fast approaching now, not sure where summer went, top video, keep them coming 👍👍
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures it's not good but at least as you say we can still ride, the big problem is group riders going into cafes, can't really do it in tier 3, I know it's only temporary, it's just not the same riding solo as it is on club/group rides, at least we still have your videos to keep us entertained 👍👍
As always a great video. Real bike riding around gorgeous England and more particularly Yorkshire, with a little bit of lancashire thrown in for good measure lol
With Mike (I think it's Mike?) wearing Spiderman Boots, I would have thought his Spidey-sense would have tingled at your absence during the ride 😁 How does the YT bell notification thing work? After your last video, I thought I'd do the decent thing and subscribe. But I didn't get any (email) notifications that you'd posted another one. (I'm viewing YT on a PC, and only sign in to make comments).
Thanks again for watching. We spoke about the split on the ride today. The guys waited but I must have faffed for longer than I thought. But yes, if you press on the bell icon, you should get a notification of an upload on what ever device you have synced to your network. It normally has a little dot illuminating against the channel you follow if they have posted anything. If not you would have to periodically click on the channel to see what's occurred.
I could see the comments on my notification tab Alan but couldn't see them on the video page ? Thanks for being persistent. And yes , the damp roads with leaves.on them isn't a confidence booster at all.
Hi Scooby, the guys were on the same route all the way back to our home town. They waited for me but it must have been when I was changing my jacket over and they were over the climb. I thought I'd have a beer before the pubs close down once again but we all got back in one piece.
I'm a stickler for bike maintenance and take a lot of pride in this area John. When it's wet and dirty like this it can take hundreds of miles off your rims too. I spent half an hour in the morning cleaning the chain and jockey wheels as part of my pre ride ritual, the roads on the Lancashire side were dry lol and we never expected it to be so grim on the other side. Thanks for watching pal.
Me neither pal, I lost a bit of time with my jacket and doing the cycle by camera shots but I couldn't see you on the top sections of Saddleworth moor. It was still a great ride out and the video shows this really well I think.
