Love my Cyclone from Robbe. Found a powerful, affordable motor setup which makes this well built glider a joy to fly. Turnigy Aerodrive 5065 270KV, AeroNaut 20x10 prop, Castle Creation Talon 90, 2x4000mAh 6S Lipos
Hi Andrej, nice to hear from you. Hope you are doing well. I am always following your videos. Good work! My Straton does very well and is one of my favourit gliders as it is ideal for our conditions of flying as it handels also strong winds very well. Working on a Swift S1 from Topmodel at the moment regard Richard
Hello RIchard, I consider getting this glider. However, wing loading is around 52g/dm² that is above average. One hour flight with 8Ah seems not a long time given the capacity of the battery. Have you a good experience with the thermals when they exist ? Thank You
Hi It works very well with a 6S Lipo and a 20x10 prop. My Cyclone has a total weight of 24lb. as I use 2 4000mAh 6S batteries. I have three 5065 Turnigy’s and never had an issue. saludos
Hi, Richard! I’m Nikolai from Russia I broke my Straton (thrust on the elevator was broken) I want to buy Cyclon 5.5m. My question is, wingtips on pins or glued. Can I shoot them? With respect, Nicholai. P,S. Translation from googol so sorry for the mistakes
Hi Nikolai Sorry about your Straton. I installed on mine a 3mm metal rod inside a 5mm CF tube for the elevator linkage. The Cyclone already comes with a reenforced elevator linkage. The wing tips on the Cyclone have two 5mm carbon pins. I secured them with a 50mm clear packing tape. I really enjoy this glider as I do the Straton. Best regards from sunny Puerto Rico Richard
@@tropicairrl6121Thanks for the answer! I will think about buying a glider. Subscribed, I will spy on your video. Greetings from St. Petersburg.- Nikola
