Fun fact: the cyclops, as a submersible, can't use water to neutralize the fires, therefore needing to deprive the fire of oxygen, which is why the door closes. The mo you know
Here's a fact: when you enter the cyclops there's a small chance that instead of the usual greetings he will say something like "You are the best captain. Im not even squirting!" the interesting thing is - it doesn't have a subtitles or shows the normal greeting's ones instead. I SWEAR TO GOD THIS IS TRUE. I heard it like 2 or 3 times.
The cyclops was fantastic. I understand why they didn't have it in Below Zero, most of the map is far too shallow for it (twisty bridges, kelp forest, some parts of sparse arctic, thermal spires & purple vents) and the seatruck does just fine in traversing the map, seeing as how Below Zero's map is smaller than Subnautica's. I miss it though.
5:16 Can you imagine if they put this line of the Cyclops in a thriller film where the protagonist gets inside an enclosed space where there’s supposedly an oxygen generator inside, but then the line comes out of the speakers in the roof?
I had one that I really can't explain, I was getting out of my cyclops and I left it with only one full charged power cell (I was taking the other power cells into my base to charge them) and my cyclops says "All systems online" but as if it were shutting down like a toy running out of battery power all slow and stretched out "oonnnllinnneeee" freaked me out. Just plain creepy.
I experience similar problems. Apparently at random times the game plays sounds either really slowly or really quickly. Its likely a glitch, since pc users dont experience this.
@@mientusmien7594 I wonder if it happens when you’re extremely careful not to get any hull damage or fire. I was super careful not to get mine (hit silent running and ahead slow any time I was near reaper/ghost/dragon leviathan territory, used creature decoys, never went emergency speed, had all upgrades to prevent engine fires, and vigorously maintained its battery life) and I got that message
What if the cyclops said when you docked the prawn suit: Ah, The little shit bag is back in my docking station, and the diver said: HEY DON'T SAY THAT TO MY PRAWN SUIT!
I am late I know, but can you make Cyclops' siren sound in 8D? No one has done that yet really, and the 1-minute loop siren eXernox made doesn't sound that great to me If you actually do this then you're the best captain on the planet, I'm not even squidding
So I got into the cyclop once and it said something about me being the last human on the planet, though I was under attack at the time so it started talking over itself. I’ve done everything I can think of to make it say it again but I haven’t been able to. Wonder what it actually said.
Was it something like this, "You are the best captain on this planet I'm not even squidding" if so it's referring that you are the one on the planet and squid is what earth has on the ocean and the game takes place in the ocean.
What is the usage of Cyclops? In my gameplay, i HAVE to build it for spoiler reasons, but that aside i never even use it, given also its pretty high energy consumption (and unlike the prawn, even if both can have thermal energy recharge, there's no fast recharge for the cyclops, you need to carry around 6 spare energy cells at all times and close to you
@@eXernox Yes but u can even do that in your survival but save before doing this and load after, but that hurt cause I dont want my cyclops to explode.
It's a phenomenon where simply put in this case submarines propeller spins in the water so fast it creates bubbles which burst causing damage to the propeller itself (not a thing in the game) and great deal of noise (it is a mechanic in game).
So, mine keeps shaking and occasionally making strange sounds. I’ve only put it on full speed once, and I immediately stopped... could that be the problem, or does it just do that sometimes?
I’m in creative, but it still scares me when it happens. I think creatures still attack as well. I already know I have to be very careful when climbing on top of the part above the water, because one time it just tipped over. Now that I think about it that might’ve been the problem, but I will never get rid of it.
@@eXernox same for me kinda. I watched Jacksepticeye play it and was hooked. It took me like 3 years to get it though because i play on PlayStation and it took a while to get to it. Still though, i really love Subnautica. Dispite all of the times that i want to snap my disc in half
