One of my favorite thematic setups is “Cowboy Crossbones”. It’s just the standard Crossbones scenario with one of the encounter sets swapped for Mojo’s Western modular set. The mental images of the fight are just funny to me.

I really need to get Cyclops to the table. I've only tried to play with him a couple of times. Didn't get his rhythm down, but I've always thought he looks like a ton of fun. This was a great game. I'm consistently impressed with how you take scenarios everybody else considers too hard and make them look easy.

Thanks Wasteland! He’s my 2nd favorite hero right now so I’d absolutely recommend trying him again. There’s so much tactical strategy needed but he has so much versatility if you keep his triggers in mind (there was a part this game where i messed up and didn’t have a Tactic Upgrade for Optic Blast because i didn’t calculate right). This game could’ve totally went south if Apoc got a good hit in. You didn’t hear the fear in my voice?

w00t! 🥳 That was really exciting! So many triggers to keep track 😵‍💫 I would have taken out the Infinite mod, way too many things going on for me 😅, but you handle everything flawlessly 💪

One of my favorite series but there’s a point to be made of diluting the deck. I think either swapped out the 2 encounter here or just have the attachment would fix it. Some villains are strong because how strong their encounter cards are like ronan.

Good point Leon! I can definitely see Apocalypse getting weaker here because of his encounter deck being diluted. Maybe only having the attachments would be the solution like you suggested!

Thanks! Yea by the time i was thinking about killing him to get rid of his attachments, i realized it would just be better to try and end the game haha

59:47 considering how you play very hard scenarios and therefore have to go down to AE often to recover….i wonder why you don’t run down time in some of your decks. Just getting that extra recovery would be huge AND you have the added benefit of thinning your deck AND having a card you could afford to lose to a caught off guard or something else like that…

I love Down Time! I always run it with Iron Man. With Cyclops I feel more right on deck space and generally find his recovery okay-i usually get to 11 HP with Honorary and can Utopia in AE to recover twice if it’s ever needed. For scenarios without overkill Cyke usually won’t take damage because of the crazy amount of allies. Caught Off Guard usually hits Honorary or Rapid Response. But i wouldn’t mind putting Down Time in and i think it’s a solid inclusion especially for this Apoc overkill scenario!
