In this video I go over the cylinder and bank identification on the Ford 6.8L V-10 engine. The right side of the engine has cylinders 1-5 and this is known as bank 1. The left side of the engine has cylinders 6-10 and is known as bank 2. This information is extremely helpful in instances where cylinder specific codes and bank specific codes have to be diagnosed. With this information you should be able to locate cylinder specific components like ignition coils, fuel injectors and spark plugs. You should also be able to locate bank specific O2 sensors as well.
