That plate you mentioned is dangling loose on my car... I reckon i need to replace the whole strut mount? In my country they do a yearly car road safety test and its been failed on suspension test twice and they themselves cannot find the problem... So started looking myself and the only thing i have found is that plate to just hang loose... New springs, new shocks... So that must be it, no?
They all have their own set of problems. lol. Toyota in my opinion is the best. But even they are having issues. I lump all the rest together and equal. But, I’m still a fan of Ford. Love the F150, Crown Victoria, Lincoln Town car amongst others Ford models. I rank the Crown Victoria and the Town car as the best car ever made.
@BarboursAutoHelp I'm a Ford fan as well. Dad and I operated a painting business for many years and between 1990 and 2000 we used a 1988 F-150. Had it repainted and rebuilt the 351 Windsor in her. Loved that truck. But time wasn't kind to her. Been working as a janitor at our local GM dealer so I have been buying Chevys and GMC's for the last 20 years. I've had good luck so far. 😉
Ford always builds a fkn trash component in their engines. The 6.0 required a bulletproof diesel kit just to make it run and now this cam phaser trash on the 3.5. I let Ford warranty mine and 25k miles later I get to pay for it. Trash.
Thanks for the vid. Driving home from work.. turned my AC on to 3 and my entire engine started vibrating. Got home... looked up why my car was vibrating. Turns out... there were super small just born.. 6 baby rats (no hair) all up in the blower motor.
So question I’m getting a vibration in my gas pedal when I accelerate from a stop or going slow and then turning a corner right or left both I get a vibration and after a minute it sent it settles down and stops not Mechanic can figure out where it’s coming from ! CAN YOU PLEASE HELP???
@@robertbaezgonzalez2231 It's possible but unlikely that the new valve could be bad as well. Did you test the old one to make sure it was bad? Sure sounds like a bad valve but could be something else. What I'm not sure. May be time to take it to a shop.
Absolutely great video thank you so much! All your detail to the steps helped

Do you know location of that Bypass valve in 2020 ford escape 1.5T ? I cant find any information about location. I have the part but not sure where it is. Pls help
Piece of advice on a stuck cv axle. Use an air hammer with a punch bit. Place the tip of the punch in the indent on the axle shaft and let her rip. It’ll push the cv axle out and not damage hub or axle.
Great video man,i have done this a million times but ill be working on a car like this and wanted to see the procedure on it and the size of the bolt, excellent last comment about checking your pulley where your done, i ALWAYS do that, i "feel " the pulleys to see if that belt is seated correctly, last thing you want is to fire up a car and have that belt fly out and tear something up.
@imnotacrook5298 lol. I’ve been around for a long time. I’ve worked on most makes and models. They are all prone to breaking. They are all the same in my eyes. Some just a little worse than others. I wouldn’t say Ford is the worst. lol.
Great video. Had a horrible noise and watched your video which showed me the repair. However when I dig in I found my noise was from a kinked hose on the suction line causing an artificial cavitation sound.
Just today I felt my MKX begin chugging. Looked down and saw my temps spiked. Coolant was below the reservoir. I put more in but temps shot back up in minutes. I put more in and watched it start dripping seconds after I started it. I started poking around with my light and saw a spurt like a jugular coming out in the notch above the radiator. Looks to be right in that spot. So what does that go for in 2024?
Learned a lot from your channel, thanks. Need guidance on something or better to say everything about 2009 ford edge limited awd crankshaft position sensor codes and fixes specially it's location, please
@@BarboursAutoHelp Thank you for reply and my apologies for not promptly responding as I should have but I was on family driver duty. I use Torque scanner and the codes it gave are 1- Current Fault P0016 - Powertrain (Crank-cam position correction) 2a - P0011 Powertrain, "A" Camshaft Position-Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank1) 2b- P0018 Powertrain 3- P0021 - Powertrain, "A" Camshaft Position-Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank2) 4- P1000 - Powertrain First code is marked Red and 2nd and 3rd are marked yellow and last two are without color. I have already taken off intake manifold and both valve covers. Bank 2 was slightly dirty but bank 1 was very dirty with more carbon and gunk. I brushed and washed both with gasoline as other canned cleaners were not doing well. I have already ordered gaskets, Camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor and two vvt solenoids. I just bought this vehicle from auction and my mechanic says it's junk to I as usual stated working on it myself. Changed all fluids (NO flushing). Drilled a drain hole in PTO (no leaks so far 😇). Next I plan to inspect wiring harness and reinsulat. Please advise in light of codes and generally on other steps that you advise me to follow. My apologies for long story but honestly want to share with you as with a doctor. Thanks
@@SohailMahboob-US usually when you get a “correlation “ code that means your timing is physically off. I’ve seen timing chains stretch, water pumps fail and Vct solenoids get stuck causing those issues. At this point it may be wise to have an experienced tech have a look at it. Chances are they will have to take the front engine cover off to inspect if the vehicle first passes a few tests. I wouldn’t say the vehicle is junk though from experience of course I haven’t seen it though.
@@BarboursAutoHelp Thanks again and got it. Let me put it together so I can take it to mechanic. Kindly do consider that I am a just a guy who like to get his hands dirty. Two more questions, since after removing the cover I can see the Chain, is it possible to get a hint that Chain needs to be replaced? Second when I was cleaning the covers I observed something. On the edges of steel plate studded inside the cover with three tiny holes. Are the edges sealed with some material coz first I thought it was gunk but later I suspected it to be some seal and since it was broken from many points i removed it. Any issues?
I have a 04 ford Taurus . Im having this same problem. Is it possible to view the Fly wheel on a Taurus the same way . I spoke to a mechanic that replaced my starter and he said he would have to remove the transmission. To view the flywheel . Is that accurate?
You should be able to view the ring gear through where the starter mounts. This is what needs to be checked. No need to remove the transmission to inspect a damaged ring gear.
I really loved the part where we went from draining the radiator to suddenly with no clue of where, just staring at the AC. Glad I wasted 30 minutes watching two videos
