I’ve had my CGS for close to 6 months? So far out of the box I’m having no issues. Everything has been pretty solid externals and internals. I did have to tighten the barrel nut a bit but that’s not really a problem in my eyes. It’s a GBBR, it’s going to shake, and it’s going to unthread anything with threads over time. I have seen quite a few issues with people trying TM mags in their CGS. Apparently something to do with the nozzle and feed lip on the mag. However, the CGS/Lancer mags seem to work fine in a true TM? Not sure on the validity of those claims but I have seen failures when using TM mags in a CGS gun. You can of course swap the bolt/nozzle and trigger group with all true MWS part and it will work fine. But if you don’t already have spare parts then you’ll be spending a heft bit of extra cash. However, given it’s performance out of the box in my case you shouldn’t need to replace anything that quickly. I will say the nozzle return spring seems a bit weak? But other than that everything else seems fine! Love my CGS!
I have both the DE noveske and the cgs ddm4, as well as a couple Marui MWS’s. One thing I’ve found with the CGS, which I’m super pleased with, is I’ve not had to do anything out of the box with it. I changed the inner barrel on my noveske to a spare OEM MWS inner barrel, changed the rubber and nub, and I would say now its performance is on par with my MWS’s. But overall I really enjoy the performance and aesthetics from these Marui based gbbs!!
the DE Noveske is actually really solid and almost feels imposstible for its price, i got it as my first gbbr and i gotta its amazing. its got a good kick, basically everything internally and externally is mostly steal, and it cycles super smoothly and has great gass efeciency.
It’s definitely great for the price. But it’s always what you feel like spending. A better replica will run your more. What a great video to show the comparison of these two. I went with the cyma noveske when they released the revised version
@@jhzfn all the issues with the initial run. With the majority of things not being compatible with mws like mags for instance. But now bolts work minus locking back due to the lack of a zet plate but cycles fine. And I run mainly gm mags and they fit like a glove
DE is a direct clone with steel hammer/trigger/sear etc and a noveske marked body, which is very good for the price. The bad part is the magazine, their mag (and prowin) are the worst. Prowin didn't even fit and they blame Marui for tolerance, while DE mags are too weak even for a lightweight aluminium bolt, not to mention original/steel bolts.
As my first gbbr I was going for the TM but the price of the Double eagle had me convinced...Upgrade Barrel, GM mags and bucking now it shoots 2x better. So well I bought 2 Noveskes...lol love ur content keep it coming
I got the T8 N4 and swapped the steel bolt to the silver color bolt which is way lighter. Also swapped the grip to a K2 XL. Got a crazy jet barrel in it with 4UAD hopup bucking. It shot well and now it shoots even better lol. I've heard that, If you put a MWS trigger box in the T8 replicas, then you can run your MWS bolt carriers in it. At least this applies to my T8 N4. So if you have enough spare parts for modification, that will be quite nice.
These receivers are NOT CNC'd! I've mentioned it before. If you want a CNC'd aluminium receiver for airsoft you will be paying £400+ for the shell alone. These are cast and have minimal machine finishes for tolerances, even with the paint you can see all the rounded smooth edges from casting (this is not a bad thing). As a Harley mechanic for a while I worked a lot with CNC'd parts for rich customers with too much money, they cost 10x the price of the cast versions (think fancy addons like indicators, footpegs, grips etc.. anything not critical to the engine or powertrain system usually although idiots did spend a fortune on cases and covers too), did they look pretty? Very! Were they structurally an improvement? No, they were/are worse and would be the first things to break under any stress/duress and if you dropped the bike they'd be the first parts to break too, these guys (dentists, lawyers, doctors, bank managers etc..) would drop them all the time as they didn't know how to ride and only did it aaa few times a year playing 'pretend' Bikers at Bike Week in Florida etc.. rant over ;-)
I like the look of the ddm4, ive got a noveske , the standard magazines suck , its a different pew with the tm mags. I like the fact the noveske is a true clone its got an plethora of parts and everyone knows the little tweaks needed etc.
DE and Prowin mag are the worst I've tried (they are bad at difference aspect) DE mag is powerless and leak a lot even after fixing it, Prowin...wont even go into the gun without quite a bit of mod Marui stock and T8 works best for me during cold days, Guns modify offers light weight but nice performance when its not too cold
In all fairness I would still go with the Noveske over the CYMA the money saved upgrade... for example... chamber... hop up... nub... bucking and inner barrel and still saved money... (yes I own Noveske) so good I actually have 2... 1 is a DMR the other is for CQB.
Interesting comparison video, pricey as it is, the PDW looks great! Have you considered testing on .20s for your FPS tests to remove the impact of joules creep? As someone who uses .32 in his MWS, I had to install an NPAS, otherwise the gun was way too hot FPS wise. I'd be surprised if your FPS tests were not being impacted by joule creep on .25s.
The mws are designed to shoot from 0.28g to 0.32g as mws can preform much better as cyma one is just a copy of t8 system but with a tight bore barrwl which infact the double eagle mws can match it or over power it with a better inner barrel, nub and bucking
@@stacyjackson1255Yep if using TM Mags both performance could be similar, but I would consider ecosystem supoort and compatibility, given DE could support most of the TM Zet parts but Cyma one could not, plus the price in the UK Cyma one is the same price as TM, I will simply going to buy DE/Guns Modify if I wanna buy TM Zet exact clone that's sightly cheaper with better material, or go to TM directly.
@stacyjackson1255 The performance maybe similar , but if considering price, compatibility and ecosystem support, I would go to buy Guns Modify/DE for ZET clone, or straight to TM original instead of Cyma that's the price is expensive than TM a bit😂
andy i must thank you. ive watched your first video the day you posted it and have watched every one since. i usually dont watch vids if i dont like the replica you feature. you however are one of a handful that i watch no matter. youre the only airsoft channel but im a bigger car guy than anything else and there the couple i watch like yours because even if i hate the product i always learn some type of info and i appreciate someone who only give a 100% and nothing less. your reviews are so thorough and i can know that whatever you say i can take to the bank. its why i got my mk23 you messaged me back and always do so i just wanted you to know how awesome your videos are, i bought two more replicas that you did and gave me the info that no one else did(especially the face hair)LOL. seriously i appreciate the time and effort you must put in to know what you review inside out, upside down and right way round! thats why i feel that if its something youve bought of in the case of the ump45 reviewed and gave favorable results. i bought one and love it! my first gbbr. i trading in my krytacs 1 by one toward switching to all gas replicas. my next will be the noveske n4. i also bought a sig x carry m18. being a glock guy i thought my gen 3 19 elite force would always be my favorite. no sir the sig is so great. i am i love with the trigger so much i switching all the triggers in my 13 replicas. i want you to know if nothing else your videos are like gospel to me but im sure many others feel the same but i wanted to tell thank you and if you do the youtube to help and inform about airsoft, you nailed it. truly important. i will not buy anything anymore unless its something you have reviewed. i dont trust anyone else anymore so that you for having so much integrity and respect for your viewer to only give the best content you can create. you have now become an essential part of my airsoft journey. please dont stop and i will always have a thumbs up for sir. thanks again. cheers
Nice video, as always. I have the N4 D.E and a MWS. Bit my TM standart mag doesn't feets well in my N4. I got it in March and I think that D.E made some little adjustment that cause issues with the TM mags. After some few shoots the nozzle stay locked forward and cause a cooldown. I' tryed the mws origin nozzle same result😢. If some of you has a solution, please let me know 🤙🏼. Thanks guys and thanks to you MAG for your reviews wich are great dude👌🏼. By the way sorry for my english, im french....
Excellent content and I want you to help me I would like to give Daniel's defense an ambidextrous magazine release but I don't know which one I can use.
Hi there, my first gbbr was the TM M4A1 MWS. It will always have a soft spot for me, and it's even better now there's so many choices. If you're looking for a great upgraded out of the box experience, then the Cyma CGS system is the one to go for, if cash is an issue then starting with the double eagle knowing that there are so many upgrade options available to build it to your personal preference. I really do love my DDM4 PDW from Cyma/T8, though.
@@MiddleAgeGameruk I know right? Thanks btw, I love your videos and the format of them. Starting with a demo and timestamping everything is so great. Keep doing what you do :)
GUYS i need fast reply. I've got cgs. I need replasment for upper, and lower reciever, I ve got good option for de recievers, should I buy them? Will cgs parts (I mean triggerbox, buffer, buffertube, budderspring, bolt, forward assist and all the rest stuf). With recievers I would get addicional mws hop up chamber (by guns modify). Will it work? Thanks for reply
So, I’m confused: when i first heard of the CGS system, it was a DesertFox video where the CGS was a Polarstar product in which the buffer tube has a regulator and you insert 12 gram or 33 gram co2 cartridges in it. So, is this also called a CGS but with a totally different manufacturer? Is the gas still in the buffer tube or is it in the magazines like a traditional GBBR?
No hop slippage on the T8? No buffer tube extension change needed on the DE? Am wondering what the max weight each can hop? Am just thinking of the common commentary I see for each. BTW the closing seems to suggest that the T8 components are more rugged than the DE and yet your overview would suggest the reverse? A 250 quid difference means expectations should be higher for T8 personally speaking.
Hi there, in regards to hop slippage with the DDM4, no, not yet. The flat head screw has very faint clicks. As for the buffer tube of the Noveske N4, there's no need to change it, but I would suggest that if you want to increase the rate of fire, then adding a short stroke spacer may work. Both replicas have great externals and internals. As I said in the video, the DE is a great choice for new GBBR players or people who want to upgrade to their personal spec without dropping £600 on a marui or other high-end brand. The difference for the Cyma is that it comes with the SP Systems trigger group, short stroke buffer kit, QD T8 hop, and bucking, T8 tight bore inner barrel, etc.. hope that helps.
Was in same boat as you. If you plan to tinker, go DE. As Andy said, getting help with MWS on and off the field is fairly easy. The 250 saved would put you 40% of the way to a CGS later on. After all, we know we can’t stop at one gun, right? 😅. BTW Both of my DE N4’s can lift .28 pretty well with .32 the practical max. I plan to buy a Noveske CGS but wish the max/optimum hop weight is better known. The hop capability is a key consideration you should keep in mind, especially given CGS restrictions.
Hi there, so far, the main wear point was slight deformation on the bolt where the bolt stop engages. This is not an issue, though, as it has not gotten worse and has settled.
Hi there, my best advice is to first take it to a few games, see how you feel, you can do alot for not alot of cash like short stroking the buffer to speed up the cycling time. Another good option is to chainge the inner barrel and bucking to a mapleleaf or unicorn. Just doing that gives a good performance boost. Hope that helps.
Hi there, it should fit a standard TM trigger box as the dimensions for the box are the same between the T8 SP systems and TM, but I know I really prefer the T8 SP Systems over the standard TM. Hope that helps.
