It is awesome smg, rof is great, full metal, looks good... but lets be honest, mosfet is pure trash that dies after few games. Best to do is instal another mofet and reshim relube and after that it is good to go. But in general cyma should work on their platinum mofet...
I’ve heard this since finishing the video, I think I’ll just leave it until it does/ if it breaks. But cheers for pointing that out for potential buyers!
@@hades_airsoft_ I did the same, played till it lasted but not for long heh. Some ppl say they used it for more than 10 games and still works. So I guess we never know
Great review man! I've got one of these and love it. They absolutely slap (excuse the pun) the ETU and fire selector are a bit pants but other than that it's an ace rif!
They have been awesome. I currently have 5 of them right now cause I like to just be able to grab one and go with whichever one I want to play with. With the Trigger and recoil shock ststem, it’s a really good balance between the realism of a gbb and magazine capacity and consistency of an AEG.
My mate has the exact same platform. He had a slight issue the ETU but was quickly sorted. I've used it in games and found it to be a very good solid platform even in woodland where engagement distances are a bit longer. Good video from HADES on the platform.
I have heard this and as time goes on we shall see, it’s not my go to for every game so hopefully it will be a while until that issue makes an appearance. Glad it’s a straight forward fix!
Hey hades how does the ukarea liccence work, Its kinda putting me off buying my firest aeg, Would you say its worth renting for your first fdew games, Or switching out parts. Is it not allowed to switch the multi collor pats. I have no idea.
@@ARMSMASH I’m not very clued up on it as I don’t live in the UK. But I don’t think it’s legally binding but I could be wrong. I think it’s best to rent for a good few games to make sure you like it before committing financially for sure 💪🏼

Thanks! The plate carrier is the Virtus STV currently issued to the British Army. It’s not a blade as such, it’s a Gerber seatbelt cutter from when I worked with Armoured Vehicles but it comes in handy for cutting things here and there
I was planning on it this weekend but real life has got in the way! So even with the hop all the way to the max there was a bit of over hop on 0.25’s out of the box. 0.28’s were laser beam straight. If you want to run lighter bb’s like 25’s I guess you’d need to make some internal changes to get the straightest trajectory.
I got myself a Cyma high-speed MP5SD6. First time in my life that I opened the gearbox and the shimming was *almost* perfect. Had to drop a 0.15 mm shim on top of spur gear but that was it (a bit later I swapped in solid bushings so I had to re-shim it). Threw in Maple Leaf hop-up bits, o-ring nozzle, and a Perun Hybrid = smoothest cycling gun I have and the ROF out of the box is more than enough for me. I've ran it like that for two years now and it doesn't show any wear and tear. During these two years I've only re-greased it and swapped a worn bucking. Also just installed new motor brushes. Edit: I also fixed AOE
@@hades_airsoft_ Well in for a penny in for a pound: In my opinion the one upgrade every rif needs is a Maple Leaf MR hop and Omega nub (do not use 2021 version! it's absolute ass). MR bucking has thicc feed lips so if you install it you should make sure the nozzle isn't too long. Also Retro Arms or similar cnc gearboxes will not fit because of the charging handle (the top part is taller than on regular gb). The return spring of the tappet plate is a bit soft so I suggest swapping a stronger spring to fix mid-cap syndrome if your magazines are brand new. Ps. Every Cyma gun should be re-greased and shimmed. I doubt all of then will be as easy as mine was
I buyed this mp5 3 dans ago and got my first skirm with it its really really accurate on 40m not even had a misfeed on a whole day ,also good hopup really worth it!
I've had my platinum mp5 for a little while now, absolutely amazing, it's quite incredible what they've managed to produce at that price point. Easily one of the best RIF's I've ever used.

Thank you, glad you liked it. It’s a great site, very well made and lots of amenities and a mix of rentals and regular players. However the safety distance (10m) is something that puts off regular players and I would say the site is designed more for rentals and casual players. It’s worth a visit as part of a trip to GC but it would depend or your play style if it is worth the trip just to play.
@@alainsalellas1862 Yeah afraid so. I’m a big fan of 0m but it’s taking a while to catch on here. Like I said, it’s very rental focused. But you can still have a great time, the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.
