This is not a bad starter gbbr, got mine over a year ago. First batch on taiwangun if I remember correctly. It became my "tinker" gun, putting some other parts in it seeing what works and what not. Its close to MWS but if you want to make it work... Well there are a few steps you need to take. At first change the Inner barrel and hop up bucking ,ML combo works great, (you dont need to change the hop up arm, its made of metal unlike TM, thats a big plus for me.) Then change your nozzle to a marui stock or guns modify one. That stock one is very bad quality and its not fully marui spec. After that go for heavier buffer to avoid bolt bouce on rapid fire. When it comes to mags - in my case CGS and marui mags works the best, but keep in mind that they need a little bit of shimming in order to stop them from wobbling and to avoid turning your nozzle into pixie dust. Tiny velcro patch inside magwell fixes this issue in no time. Once you do that you got a very good little cqb beast that runs marui mags and had a great aftermarket to f***k around.
Love the gameplay, you should record some more footage and do a breakdown of what it is you are doing/why as I bet theres a ton of useful stuff you do without thinking which we don’t have a scooby about! Great vid as always and nice to see you sharing your actual opinions!
Thanks for watching, glad you liked the video! That’s a great idea, might have to give that a try. There’s a video further down on my channel on some drills I do when it comes to reloading and transitions etc you might find useful! Thanks for your comment!
Very informative video, definitely gave me some ideas about what to look for in a GBB, I’m still running AEG but I definitely want to make the move to GBB at some point.
Wow, awesome editing, music everything, im so glad im in the video, that was one of my dreams. Im sure your youtube channel will grow a lot, its awesome quality, you deserve more subs than you have
Great video really enjoying your channel looking forward to more so old you say the noveske is a good sten into the gbbr world or just hold out for a TM
Thank you very much! With some upgrades like a hop rubber and an NPAS nozzle they do become much more stable platforms. This is an “out of the box” review after all. Either way TM you won’t regret it, but Noveske is a good starting point. Look into how much the upgrades would be on the N4 and compare the price of a TM.
I’ve been learning how to be as self sufficient as possible with GBB and not reply on mechanics so I can definitely see how it’s attractive as a tinkering replica!
AEG is still fantastic, when I want stability and an easy day I grab an AEG. There’s no rule that says you have to make the leap as you progress in the hobby. I’d say know when is the right time for GBB or AEG is the key!
@@hades_airsoft_ Just thought it was a bit unfair to knock it because of that. At half the price of the MWS i can't see how you can't recommend this over it. I own neither so I have no bias, apart from the gas efficiently I don't see any other negatives to be honest.
@@iamjames8200 not unfair, you just have a dumb take and come across as an oxygen thief. Its an honest review - something you rarely see these days with pressure on people to say everything is so great otherwise manufactures will dodge you. In the UK right now the inflation of positive reviews on these things have meant that some retailers are trying to sell these at TM prices when they are not TM quality. If you are on a budget, you can buy a used TM for less than these (even when they are on sale) and have something better in quality for the money spent - lovely bit of info which you wouldn’t have if you didn’t have people providing honest reviews.
Great video buddy! Keep up! ❤️🔥 we‘ve been testing the N4s for some games now and came across issues with the TM Mags (blowouts mostly), but seemed to fix them by adding tape to the magwell - which addresses the wobble you just mentioned. The inconsistency you described wasn’t recreated in our RIFs - we mostly used 0.36s and they went sooooo good! They even kept up with my TM MWS setup. Looking forward for some more impressions. Btw.: what‘s the name of the field your were skirmishing at?:) Cheers!
Thank you very much for your review. I would like to ask what weight of BB bullets you use to play the game. Does the hopup problem you have in the game occur after adjusting the scroll wheel? The new USGI magazines will be available soon, you can look forward to it.
You’re very welcome, thank you for watching! I was using 0.28 from BLS. So the trouble I had was after adjusting the hop to my preference- a mix of under hop and over hop that happened for maybe 5-10 rounds and then stabilised.
Mags aren't the best. Mine started leaking gas randomly. Luckily, DE talked to evike for me and is getting me a replacement gas mag. Hopefully, I don't have the same issue with the new one.
Got this one last year. The only upgrade required is a new hop bucking, which I replaced with a Psionic Tho-R and Omega nub. Overall, using .30 bbs and Protech gas, I'm able to reach 60m without any overhop and an approximative 90% hit. Sure, the MWS is a bit more efficient when it comes to gas use but don't get me wrong, the DE mags are quite ok, being able to power ~2.5 mags.
Of all the suggestions about which upgrades to make to this rifle I think you’re right; bucking and nub is about it. That’s all the performance upgrades I have on my MWS (aside from an npas) and it makes such a difference, the same should be the case for the N4 which sounds like it is!
Any TM mws is like $1150 before taxes and shipping CAD here. I picked up the de N4 at half the price and spent the extra on mods. I don’t recommend the mws mags as it sits lower and can damage your bolt, the cgs lancer mags both will double feed. I got the guns modify mags and they worked great.
Well my battalion is now a Ranger Regiment battalion so paying a bit of a homage with it! 🤙🏼 GBBR is daunting and I’ve had my abre of issues don’t get me wrong. Either way AEG I can barely change a hop rubber and depend totally on techs. With GBBR every problem is just mechanical and I’ve fixed each one my self and that is a huge thing for me not having to depend on techs
I've been running one since October November last year so probably the worst time of year in the uk to be getting to grips with my first gbbr. From a price point perspective it was half the price of the TM so with that in mind there's some scope in budget for improving performance longer term. I think the TM is always going to be the better rif though
Prefect summary! Wow half the price? Over here not quite that cheap but at half price definitely scope there to spend a bit. It may not have been the best time of year but you’re now a better GBBR user for having learnt in winter!
For the price you really cant complain much. Theres some qc issues with them as know a few people have had issues. Youre riggt about the DE mag its awful which is a shame. But switch to tm mags, change the barrel , bucking and nub and youre onto a winner and its still gonna run slightly cheaper than a mws tm
I think it needs to be cheaper and then it would be fantastic value for money. Lots of people saying it’s half the price of TM, where I like there’s only €180 difference which is why I’m holding it to slightly higher standards so depends where you are in the world! Great GBB starter with potential after some up upgrades tho!
In US, 329 vs 775 on one site (not completely apples to apples) so more than half the cost here. For sure there are some little upgrades that should be made out of the box on the DE; bucking and nub, magazine gasket (should help with gas efficiency), recoil spring (near future replacement), NPAS would be awesome, add some protection for bolt over-travel). Overall I think it was a decent review. To be fair though, you are comparing Steak prepared by a renowned chef to a street vendor offering. Both are tasty and filling, but one is just a bit more refined. lol Great review.
Thanks for the feedback dude! So I started out to make a straight comparison between the two but as time when on I realised that they are just not in the same league as you say. NPAS is a must for either system as we had to runaway really weak gas to get it past the chrono, something for me has never been an issue with Marui and the NPAS. Lots of people saying they are around half price which obviously very much depends on when you are int he world. Here the difference is about €180 but for half the price I’d definitely buy one. It is like comparing steak to burgers and both have their time and place, I may do an irate when the owner does all his upgrades!
Not sure how much you paid but in the uk you can find it for £350 so its competing with the likes of the kc02 and the ghk g5 and there’s just no beating the n4 at that price point. The only thing that you need to change on the n4 is the barrel and hop rubber which most change out the box on any gbbr so that’s negligible imo. While the kc02 requires so many parts to make it compatible with existing systems like vsr10 barrels and buckings that it’s just not worth it at all. And the ghk g5 not being as bad but still requiring modding the receiver to make sure it doesn’t crack.
So it’s in the video that the N4 cost €370 and a TM over here costs around €550-€600. (One of my team lent it to me) So very specific to the price point where I live. If you could get them here at half price I’d happily have one, spend a couple of hundred €’s on it and lots of the problems I encountered would be mitigated.
Great video and great edit. But i must say that purple mask guy looks like was his first time shootin a gbbr 4 god sake. Thats speedsofter must learn a little bit more about this. Love ya bruv.
The silver barrel is a Noveske trait... it's in the photo that went viral..! I have 2 Noveskes... a DMR and CQB... using Omega nub... 70 degree Decepticon bucking... a 270mm Crazy jet inner barrel and an angry gun chamber and hop unit hitting 70ms with 0.32g bb... plus a SP Systems HPA magwell adaptor to keep pace with AEG users.
Just not a fan of it bud! With all the upgrades on a solid base I’m not surprised you’re doing well 🤙🏼. This is very much an out of the box review, having two makes loads of sense, I will get another TM at some point or even a Noveske who knows! But that compatibility is key!
Only good for the range and under very controlled dynamic ranges. You can train more often, cheaper and most importantly safer with Airsoft. If you want to do any CQB drills against actual human beings this is the way to go. I would mix and match real steel training with Airsoft to get the best results.
