For anyone who doesn't know, Paul Masvidal (GtVo) and Sean Reinert (ds) participated Death's famous album Human. You can hear Sean's crazy drumming style in there too, and also Paul's guitar solo. Sean Malone (Bs) was a master of fretless bass. Both Sean have passed away in 2020. Tragedy. But their music remains here. This a MASTERPIECE!
and 2nd guitarist Jason Gobel played in Monstrosity, so they were all over Florida DM underground. The thing is that everyone was waiting for them to be the most brutal next thing, but the tornado destroyed their studio. And by the time they recorded new material, they were all into Fusion and jazz and people were not ready for it at the time, and it is the reason why they disbanded at first
@@rohitchaoji In a modest opinion, Human was a work that, although it was characterized by surgical precision (composition, arrangements, interpretation and even the way it was recorded), revealed the incessant search for excellence of each of the components of Death at that time (Sean and Chuck-Rest in Peace-, Paul and Steve) even though they were four individually phenomenal musicians. Of course, that will have involved thousands of discussions, differences and quarrels... nevertheless, I am convinced that it set an unparalleled precedent in Art itself. Stay brutal \m/
It is amazing how this album managed to perfectly blend progressive, death metal, jazz, fusion together. 30 years have passed and it still sounds great today 🤘🪐🤘
Remember seeing them at the "Thrash Can" in Miami,FL 30 years ago !! Paul Masvidal is such a nice dude, and RIP Sean Reinhardt, he played drums of the Death " Human" album in 1991, so awesome to see this legacy kept going throughout the years , so original, so Iconic !!
Happy 30th anniversary 💖 This band paved the way for death metal and bands alike. It also transformed into the band it was always aiming to be. The sound changed but the message of truth and human identity never changed.
@@markcooperartcomofficial I'm just going by what it's described as by the RYM community. I believe some other genres were listed too. And yeah the joke Circle of Tone likes to say is that it's regressive metal. Because it's so formulaic. 👹🤘🏿
I saw them at the Masquerade in Atlanta will Cannibal Corpse. Sean Rhienhart absolutely changed my life. The way I veiwed music and my approach too it. Sean Malone was retarded as well. But I've never seen anything like them then,.....or since. It's like an All-star team of metal.
I saw the same tour, and the crowd was not digging on Cynic. I was of course, but average metalheads were pissed that they weren't brutal!! I saw the same thing when Atheist opened for Deicide.
