I suspect the British entertainment industry is just too fixated on doing period dramas that glorify the era of British Empire. If you don't fit the mold of a heroine from Austen, Elliot, Dickens, or a Julian Fellows Drama, you're screwed because that's practically all that British producers do or WANT to do. I’m pretty familiar with her and her performances but I do not recall her hitting her low register in those performances. Her voice is amazing. I accidentally ran across Sandy Redd It's Hard Saying Goodbye to Yesterday. What I learned from you about support in the lower register this child is burying her notes down there with heft and support. But all her videos are great including the River which was her audition song.
