Brian has been training for maybe 6 months at most. I love how threatened all these guys are. Brian is doing his training and isn’t saying a word about beating Denis or Levan or anybody. They act like Brian is being a showboat or bragging about how he is going to beat. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
I've been waiting to hear Denis's thoughts on Shaw being he's a former strongman also. Was good seeing denis still happy despite the set backs. I'm not really a leonadis fan but Dave and Travis would be the best matches for Denis imo
I think it would be hard to find someone who thinks Brian Shaw will be ready for any super heavyweight in the next year. He needs to continue training and learning and pulling with a variety of men like he has been. One day if he sticks with it he could be a beast and Not get hurt.
Training for MMA, he isnt training for ArmWrestling i can guarantee that 100%. He doesnt give a fuck about ArmWrestling he just wants to get paid easily.
If Denis fixes once and for all the hips pain, he will be able to move his bodyweight. This means that he can get back on applying sidepressure and attack.
@@Matthew_1904 you don't need a miracle to fix hip pain. There's surgery, there's a lot of other stuff... It depends by what Denis wants to do... The big problem is the blood pressure one...
@ARMWRESTLINGNEWZ- I really like that most Professional Arm wrestlers, including Denis are really behind Brian Shaw. They want him to take the time, to train specifically for Arm wrestling,, & to get really good at it. This is really selfless, this type of support WILL make Arm wrestling get better, & lead to being more accepted/respected. ❤️Great video.
When did he warn brian? Infact he said brian can be a killing machine if he trains, what he suggested was not to give him a serious opponent in the start and scare him of from the sport, thats not warning that is showing concern
Oh stop it. All these guys “warning” Brian clearly don’t know the man nor do they realize how much it motivates him when people tell him he can’t do something. He faced the same thing in strong man and we all know how that turned out: 4 WSM titles
I think that Levan is not a huge fan of Brian Shaw. He plays it nice but it seems to me that he's trying to scare him before he even gets the chance to get more armwrestling-specific training. Maybe Levan doesn't see him as a threat but maybe simply the R.I.P Levan comments have gotten into his head. I hope to be wrong about that but Denis seems to genuinely care for Brian and wanting him to have the smoothest path into armwrestling.
It’s his only chance to pull him and have bragging rights . If he is the first one. Because after that they won’t let him pull Levan, after his level is exposed . And it will be nowhere near Levans. So Levan wants to pull him while his level is concealed and that will bring Levan more exposure . Think like a businessman
Denis vs dave chafee then denus vs Michael tood then denis vs genadi or denis vs georgi tsevtkov will be good matches next by next.... these would be good matches for and he would gradually increase his shape after recovery or after the recovery from hip replacement surgery if it required then.....so after recovering from his health issues he can put some easy matches...I think it would be easy matches for him then ermes gasparini match.... Dave chafee , MMT are not in the top 10 .....MMT is in his comeback after injury ..he is gaining.... and genadi also I think is not top 10 after his bicep injury because he will start his comeback match from below top 10 ...i think these matches makes sense ...to denis as he will compete ... after recovery. As denis wants to slowly climb the ladder but I would say that denis takes his matches too far instead denis should take matches of less difference in time period like in 2 or 3 months ....easy matches that would better for him only and also it will not pressurise him as these would be easy matches but gradually increasing the level which also require a decent or baseline shape .....As denis has many health problems we fans think he should just compete not anything else....it will take time to have match with top 3 or top2 😢❤❤❤I hope he recovers soon.. And these matches should only takes place if denis injuries and health concerns gets completed vanished ....❤❤❤
I was hoping you would talk about Devon's confirmed return at the next Kott which will take place on September 28 in Poland and the possible contenders, good video anyway.
That flop wrist doesn't really work on denis. Denis grips so low so it's hard for them to correctly use it on him. Denis destroyed jerry in 1 sec in the past too it was so easy for him. I know Denis is not in his prime but still it's hard for anyone using flop press to use it against him.
I just have a hard time respecting Denis anymore after he decided to take the left arm hammer completely out of armwrestling just because he thought it made a neat memento. I dont care if it was never 'official' and was sort og gimmicky... everyone clearly understood the way it was supposed to work and most people thought it was a fun idea but he was like "nope it's a cool trophy".
Oh cry me a river, like it's not possible to make a new one that is exactly th same and continue the hammer legacy. He won it he can keep it.. he never really lost it just stopped competition because health problems. If that is the thing to not respect someone over all other accomplishment etc than you are acting as silly as he is with choosing to keep it. (fyi I do not like that he choose to keep it but it's what it is and i can't blame him either)
Brian Shaw is a big dude generalist strongman! But to specialize in arm wrestling specifics, Brian has his work cut out for him. Brain won't be ready for match play for years.
Time will certainly tell, Brian is incredibly intelligent, and absorbs knowledge like a giant sponge. If he can get his movements proper, and technique down, a year of proper training would put him at the top level. His background in strongman is a testament to his ability to adapt to different movements, and it'll show up in armwrestling. Especially when he's getting pointers from Laratt.
Are you joking or what??? Only his bones without muscle weight 100 kg....lol. Stupidity I read in some comments is insane. Denis was 120 kg after not doing anything for 2 years ...
Denis vs this one or Denis vs that one, everyone getting offered to jump on, the beat Denis bandwagon🤦♂️ Denis has suffered major health complications and it’s funny how everyone now fancy’s challenging him🤷♂️ he would have whooped all their arses if he was of full health, fact👌.
Of course Denis is not in pain or feels less pain, he's not training for a match. When he does, the pain will come again and he'll cancel the fight again. Get the hip surgery and recover. Why keep prolonging the inevitable?
He said in a video, that hip replacement will take him about a year to come back and he’s trying to avoid it. He said right now he feels good by training less.
@@Armfan17 I believe that I heard that too and dint know what to think of it. We all want him healthy, but delaying the hip surgery is not going to do anything but delay the inevitable. The minute he is scheduled for a match, he will train, then the pain will come, then cancels the match or loses because of the pain. Why not get the surgery and recover for a year or so. Whether he competes after that is his call. But, he will have less pain or no pain at all and he can decide to continue or just coach.
He may not even be as strong as he was one year or 2 years ago. Sign that most of armwrestling youtube channels was created recently and guys has no clue. Dennis was in best shape 6 years ago and because his health issues he was 2 yars ago much weaker.
Everyone knows you can't hook Devon so what will matyshenko do Oleg doesn't have enough strength just flash pin Devon so dadikyan really is the toughest opponent
I still don't get the Brian Shaw hype. Yeah he is strong but he doesn't have ANY arm wrestling instincts. Even though Brian Shaw had practices with Devon, Derek Smith and other good arm wrestlers when he pulled Eddy Hall, he look worse than a complete beginner. Hack Eddy that doesn't practice as much as Brian technically pulled way better than Brian. On the other hand here are example of people with arm wrestling instincts: 1. Look at the last Devon practice with David lade, the dude gave a very good pull to Auden - he just naturally got it. 2. Look at Larry Wheels vs Brandon Allen, they both started at about the same time and Larry's arm power was way stronger. (according to the lifts both showed at the time) But Brandon Allen just out arm wrestled him. 3. Khalid Jashel that could kings move, flop hook after not arm wrestling much. (he did go to few practices and tournaments before he pulled Devon but he was certainly a noob).
If he doesn’t get injured Brian is at least 2 years away from possibly being competitive at the high levels. But, people think he should be world champion right off. Beyond the strength training Brian has a lot to learn so he can respond correctly when at the table. Gonna take several matches to maybe get there.
Brian did what Dennis always dreamed of... theres gunna be bitterness, Brian arguably the greatest strongman of all time and Dennis the b league strongman never good enough for wsm...
WHAT XDXDXDXDXDXD devon is top 2 SHW regardless, he litterally smash everyone except levan comeon XD ermes top 4 but devon TROLLED him XDXD wake up jesus christ
@@pyrotodd187 are u stupid Brian deadlifts over 1000 lbs .. pulls jets .. fire trucks , lifts over 600 lbs stones .. Levon would run out of breath before he got the fire truck moving .. educate yourself kid ... Levin would be doing strong man where they make millions not arm wrestling of he was super strong .. smh
Denis just needs some matches. He doesn't have to be #1 or even trying to be. It's good to just see him. Plz aw community stop inflating jerri the used car salesmen. He was never what yall rank him. One trick pony that is now figured out.
@@eddie0Fll why? He only has the flop press. Stop that and he's pretty useless. Alex is longer then ermes and has the knowledge of that match plus what devon told him. I'll bet ya 50$ Alex wins
@@BozoThaTroll I'm not interested in betting money. You can do it by yourself on armbet😅😅😅 A longer lever has a bad matchup against a presser.... Indeed Vitaly wanted to face Jerry because of that (doing the same that Ermes did with him). So this is not an advantage to Alex. I also think that Jerry learned *_a lot_* from his last match with Ermes. So that's why i keep saying, don't underestimate Jerry... Also, imo, Alex is too much overhyped. He just beated an injured Georgie (which doesn't even deserve a place in top 5 while being at 100%, if we consider Ermes, Levan, Devon, Vitaly and Genadi), i don't get the point. Just like Dzeranov. Devon puts some good word on an athlete and that guy gets overhyped. Devon diminishes an athlete and everybody thinks that he's sh*t, just like happened in the last months, and it's happening, to Ermes. You're hangin on Larrat lips...
