This video assumes athletes have taken necessary steps in regards to strength, flexibility and inversion work i.e.: handstands and cartwheels prior to considering doing the skill solo (without a spot) or a coaches supervision.
These tips are intended to help athletes be safe.
If you feel comfortable wearing protective gear: knee pads or a helmet this could also alleviate some fears.
If you choose to wear protective gear be certain it fits properly so it does not contribute to the difficulty.
When being spotted seek assistance from somebody who has experience spotting and moving with the wheel properly.
