Great video! So the 4800 plates apear to be 10"x12" do they fit in your large JPC alright? not too loose?

Very nice vid on the JPC 2.0. I'm thinking of getting one myself. The one you're showing, is that a size large or medium? I haven't tried one so I can't figure which size to order. According to CP's website I'm a size medium, but I have always had good experience going down one size. The one review I have seen on RU-vid of a size small JPC seems again too small and seems to give to litte protection... Might look good when not getting shot at... (I think that guy was an airsofter). Thanks

This one is a large. I’m not the smallest but not the biggest either. I also have large plates in them. I got this one from Turner Armament Company but you can get them straight from the sight as well

I’m 5’7” with a pretty wide chest. I’m a wider guy so I was wondering what size you guys recommend? Small or medium?? From my collar bone to my belly button is 12-12.5” and nipple to nipple is 9.8”-10” any help would be greatly appreciated!

How’s the comfort level compared to the velocity systems in your opinion? Had some issues with my scarab and how narrow the pads and straps are with them digging in and causing hot spots and headaches. Notice any of that wth the jpc?

The JPC is more comfortable to me but I like the scarab overall better. The shoulder straps are comfortable but are very thin compared to other carriers. I still think the spiritus overt fits the best out of all 3 I reviewed

People might complain about the crye shoulders but mosy pcs on the market either force you to either cant the rifle or hook the buttstock under the front plate to shoulder a rifle. Only caveat is having really long arms

@@NickIsenhour the shoulder straps are def a plus and minus. Solution to the prob might increase weight. But i def think heavier material is more durable unfortunately. Where do the straps tear? Where it attaches to the plate bag or in the middle?

Thank you for sharing this video. I did not know about Hesco, interesting. I have a JPC 1.0 and 2.0, what would be the recommended Hesco plate carrier to best fit the plate carrier? Also, is it necessary to have level IV or III? (I do range training with my buddies, most of them with .556 cal) Appreciate your response, thank you.

So I like Hesco plates. Dfndr has great products too but Hesco is my go to. They work great in the JPCs so no need to get another carrier. In my personal opinion I would get LV III plus. Stops up to a 308. I work in law enforcement and didn’t have a need for LV IV stopping a 30-06. It’s not reasonable for me. But if you have the extra money by all means go for it. They are very pricey though. You won’t be disappointed with the 3810s

What size crye did you go with? What is your ht/wt? Yours covers well. So many set ups don’t cover user.

Large. 5”11 215lbs. Plate carriers are tough getting them perfect. I know some people my height and weigh less with mediums and fit perfect on them

How are you liking the shooters cut plates in that carrier? I can't decide if I should get the sapi cut for the added protection or the shooters for the mobility. I also don't know how it would fit/move with the extra space around it and if I would like that or not. Edit: also the hesco 4800 protect against the new m855A1 and the M80A1, all the lower level level 4 plates stop at 7.62X63-AP M2. So the added price for the 4800 over the 4600 adds even more protection as well as a 1.1lb difference

So I have tested both and personally, I like the shooters cut more. It’s a lot easy to maneuver a rifle and move in general. I’m not too worried about the added plate on the sapi for the price you pay extra. They are both great but I love the feel of the shooters a whole lot more

@@NickIsenhour That's good to know. I've actually been thinking about doing a shooters on the front and a sapi on the rear. since you really just need it on the front and the added protection on the back might be handy. I just ordered the airlite carrier so we'll see how I like it

Thanks for the info. Just ordered the same size plate carrier and some 10x12 ceramic plates. Have you tried using a camel back and/or a flat pack with your carrier? Also, did you get your front pouch from crye? Thanks man. Stay safe out there!

No problem man I appreciate it! No the front pouch is from spiritus. Haley strategic has some good ones too. And I haven’t tried a flat pack yet with this one. I’m waiting on mine for my LV 119 overt

How are the shoulder straps holding up. I recently got one. Have looked all over google and can’t find anything about durability. But they really seem to be very, very weak.

Yea they aren’t that durable at all. Definitely not a fan of them. Depending on how much you wear it and shouldering a rifle, they wear pretty quick

The straps on the JPC are more comfortable and fit better with shouldering your weapon. The overt feels more durable though. The overt is more narrow then the JPC

Out of the 2, you prefer the overt or Jpc? And why

I like the overt better. The JPC straps throw me off. They are very comfortable but weak. I like the overt fit the best and then velocity. I like my carrier snug and no wiggle room at all and the spiritus was perfect. I would check out the velocity scarab lt as well.

I would go with a large if you are that tall. I have the large overt LV119 and I’m 5’11

Nick Isenhour I wouldn’t recommend going just off height. I’d say this guy would do better with a medium size. A large would impeded on mobility more than what it actually would protect. (Coming from a guy that ran an IOTV for a few years)

It depends on the plate size, doesn’t it? The horizontal measurement should be from nipple to nipple and the vertical is from that notch near your neck to the belly button.

I would recommend a weight vest instead and adjust it to the weight your carrier is.

Gabriel schulz you need to measure your chest size. That’s what truly matters. Idk how wide you are but most people I know that run plates that are about your height run mediums. You measure your carrier to your plates not the other way around
