Bought a P07 back in 2015, sold it and went through about 5-6 other compact 9mm firearms that I believed I wanted more. Fast forward to 2020, I sold all the other firearms and repurchased a NIB P07. Havent looked back. CZ
I really enjoy the introduction/ mini Podcast portion of your videos. The breakup is awesome. I had an OD green P0-7 will full polishing and MCARBO that I sold. I was only okay with it because I have two fully cajunized P-01's. That said I miss the P-07 terribly, and I see why they say never sell something you actually like.
Have had both. I prefer the P07 for its size; easier to draw and handles better. Both concealed fairly easily for me. Stock CZs don’t have great DA/SA triggers in my opinion; too many hiccups and usually a lackluster reset. Especially when compared to Berettas. But it’s fixed easily enough. Definitely recommend cajunizing your DA/SA CZ, regardless of model. Also helps with the trigger return springs which do break easily enough.
Why not just get a P10C at that point. I guess I don't understand why everyone adds extensions to every gun these days regardless of their starting capacity
@PitbullSoco I think it’s about versatility personally. The P10s has a half inch shorter barrel and options to carry with a shorter grip length. People with a smaller frame may find the shorter grip and barrel helpful in conceal ability as opposed to a larger compact like the C. I’m a bigger guy so I can conceal both relatively well (more “abdominal real estate”). But people may want the shorter dimensions with option to increase capacity and grip length in the winter when you can wear thicker clothing so you don’t worry about printing, but can go back to stock grip in hotter months without having to buy a different gun to be more concealable under thinner clothes.
I too like my P10C. I had a Gen 1 with the troubles you talked about & after sending it into CZ they sent me back a Gen 2 P10C. Wow! Much, much better 3-1/2 lb. crisp trigger pull which is almost as good as the VP9 & PDP's triggers, mags stay in while shooting competition due to the revamp of the grip protecting the mag release, easier mag dumps, & they even sent me back my Theta trigger that is superior to the original trigger (no more pinching of your finger, feels great, and no trigger hangups!) Only my adjusted Springfield Ronin Elite 1911 in 10 mm to 4 lbs. has a better trigger (was 6-1/2 from the factory). In fairness to CZ , I've had many problems which required factory service. Had to send back: P365, P365XL, Kimber Micro 9, LCP2, LC9s Pro, Shield Plus, P10C, Springfield Ronin Elite 1911 in 10 mm. Pistols I haven't had to send back: Ruger SR9C in 9 mm, XDM 4.5" in 9 mm, Glock 20 (fixed it myself). You are so right when you talked about manufacturers making Micro 9's have increased their size. I bought and have shot extensively from small to large: an LCP2, Kimber Micro 9, P365, Ruger LC9s, P365XL, Shield Plus 4" ported barrel, Ruger SR9C, P10C, XDM 4.5". The biggest one that I will carry is the Shield Plus 4" as it fits nicely at the 3-4'Clock position. I've had the X-Macro in my hands and love how it feels, but it was not made for the concealed carry market, unless you're into carrying big guns, which I am not. In the pocket I use mostly the LCP2 because it's like carrying nothing (Seriously, you forget that it's there!!!), but the P365 is so much with more power, better trigger, sights, & capacity, is more durable, reliable, and has low recoil for a micro 9. Additional barrel length noticeably hits steel targets harder and is obvious while shooting. I've come to the conclusion a 4" barrel is a good compromise between power factor and carrying the pistol. The Shield Plus shines because is shoots very close to my P10C, is thinner, lighter, controls recoil better with the ported barrel, & is almost or as accurate as the P10C. And I do like the Shield's fiber optic sights! But if I could only have 1 pistol, it would be the P365
I have both, as well as the P10C, and because it is cold AF out, I find myself carrying the P-07 more now. That will change with the summer, when I go back to my P10S.
P01 and/or P07 Duty for me. CZ is solid, but seriously behind market demands. There is no reason every gun they offer cannot be purchased with an optic cut, suppressor height night sights and threaded barrel. You do not have to use those options, but they should be available and accessible for purchase.
i have p07sd and i was trying to appendix carry p07 and its little dificult to me all the time when i try to seat its pressing to much with barrel . for me the best way to cary its 4:00 . is there anybody with expirience to carry p10s like that? because im interested in buing 10s
@@1776orbust I saw that video too. I'm not very good at working on stuff like that. I'm afraid I will wind up with a bucket of parts. But M-carbo would have been about $225 cheaper 🙄
@@1776orbust I did the Mcarbo spring kit also. Haven’t done any polishing because it was the newer and cleaner parts that didn’t seem to rough like the older models.
I’m curious how much better a CGW pro package would be in the P-07 vs. Mcarbo spring kit. I know they have a lot more parts to add so maybe one day I’ll check it out. Like to do my P-01 first!!
@@hardcore4476 I can't say for certain. Been a while since I looked at all the parts. Seems like the main differences were a new hammer and an extended firing pin. You could get those separately with the M-carbo if that is what you want to do. I don't know what the difference in price is
I have both, in fact I have two P07s and both a P10S and P10C. All are fantastic pistols. For concealed carry, I go to my P10S. Mine is optic ready and I have a Holosun red dot on it. I use the CZ plus two base plates. So I have 14 plus 1 capacity. Great pistol.
Interested to know the difference in recoil/muzzle rise between the P10s and P10c. I've shot the P10c and it's a soft shooter but was interested in the P10s for a while and could never find a shooting range that has one for hire, so I lost interest in it for a bit. Not a hammer fire fan so I wouldn't go the P07 route.
@@SIGP365 thanks so much for your response - much appreciated. I may look at getting one again as my first EDC. I find the P10c a bit to big for me to carry as I am a smallish build.
I really liked my p10s, I bought a couple Hyve extensions and they were great. I ended up selling my p10s but I bought a p07 and p10c, I will not be selling those! I wouldn’t mind another p10s, I had zero issues with it as long as I had an extension for my pinky.
Always preferred compacts because you get the best of both worlds. Once the micro’s came out, I thought it couldn’t any better. Once I started shooting my compacts again, I realized why I love them so much. Ultimately I think it comes down to what you can shoot the best imo. I have the P365X and it’s uncomfortable to shoot and not as accurate as my compacts. Thinking of trading it for a P07 lol
If you are thinking about getting a P10S. Just a FYI for ya, You can get +2 magazine extensions that bring it up to 14+1 with not much grip added. Very carryable. Both are great guns. I first got the P10C gen1. Liked it but was way to stiff. Ended up getting the gen2 and it was a big difference. I love all my CZ's.
Awesome video, looking forward to the range shooting with the P10s. If u have the time please compare the P10s and P10c, would love to watch that and your get your views on both. Cheers and Happy Holidays!
I was considering the P07 due to Honest outlaw's recommendation for a reliable handgun. But your critique of the triggers now has me leaning towards the P10s. I have a pair of Caniks with their amazing triggers and I don't want to go to a trigger that leaves something to be desired.
The P10S is a great gun. If you like short triggers that's probably gonna be for you. They are apple and oranges. P07 is DA/SA If you are use to that it's worth checking out.
I only own/carry DA/SA pistols with decockers, so obviously I would go for the P07. That being said (sorry, couldn't resist), I really wish CZ would make a P07 Compact, with a shorter grip area and ever-so-slightly shorter barrel. The size of the P07 is what would keep me from carrying it. I currently carry a Beretta PX4 Storm Compact which is the largest pistol I think I would ever carry. I might pick up a P07 for home defense, though.
I bad both the P07 and P09, sold both and prefer way better the ergos and trigger of the P10c and P10f. The P10F slide with Holosun 509t on the P10C frame is the best of both worlds.
Wish it were a P-10C vs P-07 review. I own both the above guns and both are fantastic. Chocolate or vanilla. Sometimes a twist cone is the right answer.
@@mortrob8371 They have the P-01, PCR, and newer P10 series for concealed carry. I think they have been doing better towards the concealed carry department lately. I believe they also made the new DWX a compact carry model.
We are definitely in the minority. Haha. I hear Canik is coming out with a micro slim for shot show. Hopefully they use their DA/SA striker fired system in that. That would be awesome.
Love the matching FDE man! Both great guns, should have brought out the P01 for the ultimate CZ trifecta :D I shot my friend's P07 about a year ago, first CZ I ever shot, instantly knew I had to have one. Ended up with a P01. Would still love a P07 yet to add to the collection. And the P10s I feel like is sort of a sleeper in the ccw market, it's a great compact carry, the perfect size really between shootability and concealability.
When I returned to the fold, so to speak, the first pistol I bought was a P10F. Great pistol, but not ideal as an EDC piece. I bought a P10S and a P365XL, figuring that my spouse would prefer one, and I'd use the other. Sure enough, she likes the P365XL better. Then I picked up a used P10C that had the ambidextrous mag release, switched in an Apex Tactical release, and that became my preferred EDC (in part because I have big-ish hands, and the longer grip works better for me). I've handled and shot the SigSauer, and find it too narrow for my hands when compared to the CZ pistols. If I want a really small concealable pistol, I have one of the M&P Shield 9 pistols. I don't shoot it as well as a P07 or P09, but it would get the job done if the need were to arise. Then I got to hold a P07. I hadn't thought about the DA/SA action prior to this--the concept was new to me and I wanted to know more about pistols in general before learning about DA/SA modes. I don't think I'll ever be "comfortable" carrying--I don't want to be complacent--but I'm more comfortable mentally (where I try to be rational) with the DA/SA trigger than I am with the striker-fired triggers. So my P07 was my EDC for a while, and is still a favored pistol in the collection. I found a marvelous deal on a P09 that already had a RDS on it, and that's now the home defense piece (I get that some folks don't like red dot sights, and that's fine, but I'm old enough that age-related Presbyopia is a thing, and red dot sights make it a lot easier to acquire a target in low light situations, so I'm glad to have this one). A "generic" holster that fell in my lap didn't accept the P10 or P07 trigger guards well, and I noted that the trigger guards on the CZ 75-series guns looked like it would work better *for that holster.* I gave it some thought, and narrowed my options to a P01, a P01 Omega (because the P07 has the Omega system), and the 75D PCR. When I got to handle all three, I found the PCR to have the best-for-me ergonomics of the three, and that is now my EDC. I am considering sending the P07 slide to Cajun Gun Works and having them machine it for a RDS, for that one to be my carry gun, as I don't much care for the idea of cutting the slide on my PCR.
CZ P-07 & P-09 Suppressor Ready both in my sock drawer. Quality, bullseye accurate, CZ Heritage, fair price. Love love love 🇨🇿👍👍🇺🇲 P10 C is the correct size match to the P-07.
I’m leaning towards my P10c compared to P-07. It conceals better and Loving the ACSS GR dot on it! However I need more time behind both to absolutely know what one I love better. Can’t go wrong either way!!
I have both, along with a P10F and a P10S and a P09. I'm shaped such that I can conceal a P07 as easily as a P10C, and since they use the same magazines and the sights are similar enough that they are all but interchangeable, I lean toward the P07 because I'm happier carrying with "one in the pipe" with the DA/SA trigger. Personal preference, to be certain. As you said, you can't go wrong with either one.
@@tomarmstrong4761 I rock one in the pipe on my P-10c..I carried snap caps for awhile in it before I got Comfortable carrying it vs. hammer fired P-07..
@@hardcore4476 Nothing yet. Put some night fusion suppressor sights on it. I have a Holosun SCS mos on my Glock 34 that is made to fit Glocks without adapter plates. Waiting to see if they make one for CZ that will fit without plate. They just came out with one that fits Smith & Wesson M&P. Waiting to see if they make one for CZ.
I have a Glock 17, Glock 26 and a Shield 2.0. I WAS going to get a Glock 19 next, mainly because of parts and holsters compatibility, etc, BUT, I'm REALLY thinking a CZ P07 instead.
I carry a P10S with all my mags having a plus 2 OEM pad on them. I agree, that the P10S has a better trigger out of the box than a P07. Though an upgraded P07 trigger is superb, especially when you start upgrading parts like the Firing block lever, trigger bar disconnector and trigger itself, you get a trigger so good that an upgraded P10 trigger won't be as good.
I just think anything cz makes is amazing. I love both these guns, I did just sell a p10s because I prefer a p10c but I already feel like that was a mistake and I think I’ll eventually get another one.
Adding a CZ +2 base plate also makes a great feeling grip size if you don’t mind the extra grip length. I prefer the consistency of the striker fired trigger so I’ll go with any of the p-10 series of handguns.
1776 or Bust, it's the same gun "CZ P10s" that you said did not feel as good to shoot as the Smith M&P that you compared it to a few years ago? The Gold pinky extension is killing it! I love it! 🤩
I'd roll with the p07. I own a p10c and have a bunch of mags from 15 to 21. They're compatible with both your choices, buy id like to try a hammer fired. Im in WA state and have the 10+ mag ban in effect. So I have to get something that will fit my p10c/f mags
My CGW P07 is prone to light primer strikes and me activating the decocker (as a left handed shooter) occasionally while shooting. It’s annoying because I bought heavy into P07 and P09 and my main guns a few years back and they’ve now fallen behind my Beretta models (92/PX4) as far as my go to hammer pistols.
I may choose the P 10 S despite not liking striker, fired for concealed carry. However, I cannot seem to find one anywhere. May have to settle for a PO7.Sig 365 looks cheap, overpriced but looking at the tacopp
Both…. Getting the P10s….. Super hard to get now for some reason…. Couldn’t get the optic ready…. Don’t care have no interest in using that….. Can’t wait to get it.
Always wanted p07 but, it's too big for CC for me have p10s and love it. Shoots great. Easy to conceal. Have Sig 365xl. Great shooter but, I still don't trust Sig with their issues. So it's a range toy. Carry my p10s or my Glock 43x.
all i know is that my p09 is the only gun i have shot that will shoot southern muntions remans. its the worse ammo i have shot and the cz eats it every time
I think I would take the p10s after having the p10c I regret selling the p10c. I have the 365xl Am considering getting an incarous grip module for it. I have it in a wilson combat now
I ended up trading my P07 in on a P10s based off of this review. It does conceal a bit better than the P07 and believe it or not, I shoot the P10s a bit better. The P07 is an awesome gun though, but the P10s works better for me.
