About this Video:
In this video I share another comparison of the CZ Shadow 2 Orange and the Shadow Blue for an accuracy down at the local range. I take them both down to the range and shoot them at different ranges and from different shooting positions. This gives a likely outcome due to the Shadow 2 Orange having a hand fitted barrel to slide. I end up shooting some very tidy groups with the new orange and some not so bad ones with the shadow 2 blue. The Shadow 2 Orange just outperforms the Shadow 2 blue in the range of testing that I put them both through in this video. Thank you very much for these tests and what I got from this is: 1 most of the difference is between your ears 2 diminishing and minimal returns for nearly twice the price I bought the blue, because the results for me don't justify the additional cost. After 5-10k rounds I'll be adding an Eemann Tech bushing, that should make the groups a little tighter. Again thanks for your testing and review, it was really helpful and informative!

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I agree with you about the price. I got my orange for 2200 it was supposed to be 1900. At these prices it is worth it. At 2600 or more though it is not justifiable. For that price I would probably look at going back to Tanfo stock 2 extreme. What discipline do you shoot with your CZ?

For the price of the Orange 2 years ago (when this video released) it doesn't seem worth it. However, I was able to find one for $1500 USD in the US recently, while the S2 Blues were still around $1100-1200. For an extra $3-400 I think it's a better value proposition compared to almost $1000 more 2 years ago.

G'day mate. The range that I shoot at is the City of Brisbane Pistol Club and it has the best IPSC training program in QLD and holds the most IPSC matches with the most attences per week. I used to use a viper holster and now I use a DAA bucket style holster. Have you purchased a pistol yet or what stage are u at?

@@azzatac9763 already shooting mate, I would love to shoot ipsc but can't due to mobility/disability after a major operation. I shoot at ssaa caboolture once a week I picked up a shadow 2 and instantly fell in love with it.

Hi there Azza, I really appreciate the effort you've put in these vids. I'm new and looking at getting the CZ shadow orange OR a WC SFX9 HC. I can't however look up to see if the SFX9 can be used in Production ISPC? is there an extensive list that people look up to figure this out or is it a matter of cross-referencing the pistol and seeing what division it qualifies for? I initially wanted to buy an entry level polymer pistol but would instead like a nice steel frame pistol that I can run in IPSC without modification.

G'day Robert. Apologies for the delayed reply. There should be a link in the caption of the video to the production list. Google search IPSC production list and you should find the most current list. My top pics for production are shadow2 or tanfoglio stock 2. If you are looking at plastic CZP10F, glock gen 5, sig 320 are pretty good. Hey, I have been watching and enjoying your weekly videos and right now I can‘t make up my mind which version I should buy. I‘m a beginner in the world of IPSC and I would like to shoot production. 🤷‍♂️ What would you advise?

Gday mate. I would advise to get shadow blue and get the EemannTech spring kit for it. The price of the Orange is not worth it. Thanks for the questions and apologies I haven't been able to post any videos for a while, I have been away with work.

Hey mate they are Tanfoglio mags. I used to shot tanfo before changing back to CZ. My first semi was a CZ85 combat.

What material is the barrel of the shadow 2 orange? is it stainless steel?

G'day mate the barrel is cold hammer forged steel. It is not real clear what type of stainless steel they use but it would most probably be 416R Stainless Steel which has been developed for cold hammer forged barrels. Does this help? Why are you interested in what the barrel is made from?

@@azzatac9763 I am between shadow 2 blue and shadow 2 orange, the problem is that they are expensive here, the blue is worth 2300 dollars and the orange is 3300 dollars

This is not a very good test, why didn't you simply adjust the Shadow 2 Blues Sights. It's shooting a little high. Easy to see that. Make a small elevation adjustment and there you go,,. Then I'm sure you wouldn't see a difference. Your killing me man.

Gday Iric the blue has had trigger springs replaced and the disconnector replaced as well. EemannTech manufacture outstanding products for the CZ Shadow 2.

Well,my guess is right..I did installed a reach reduction kit from Cajun on my s2 blue and on my optic ready and I was amazed on my upgrade.that’s my first choice the reman tech kit but I couldn’t get a dealer here in the US.

Practice is the funniest part of shooting. I made this video with what I could at the time and the results for me where fine for IPSC. Thanks for your comment and how many times a week do you practice and what discipline do you shoot?
