I wonder why CZ doesn't just drill and tap for rings, these just raise the scope. I have a 452 in .22 WMR , its very accurate, but I wish the scope mounted lower.
Being drilled and tapped will not really going to lower the scope, you will still have to mount the rail on top of the action and then the rings. CZ actually provides the lowest possible mounting solution by having the receiver dove tailed to 11mm, where you can mount the rings straight to the receiver. It's just that everybody wants a MOA rail fitted, hence the slide on rail solution. If you just want to shoot sub 100 yards, just get 11mm dove tail rings from CZ and mount the rings directly to the receiver.
Availability for 11mm dovetail, or picatinny rings and bases is much better because they are universally used. Having some weird hole layout, makes it nightmare to find right rings, different heights, scope tube diameter etc...
