Until now, we only knew Brno from tourist guides. And we decided that we wanted to know him differently. Not like regular tourists, but more like backpackers who get a peek into hidden corners and see things around a little differently.

HOW WE TRAVELED
From Olomouc to Brno, long-distance bus transport has proven to be faster than the train. The price per ticket was 129 CZK.
HOW WE ACCOMMODATED
After getting to know each other, we slept in the dormitory of St. Anne's University Hospital in Brno for 460 CZK/person and night. It was quite retro and we loved it. The last weekend in March was also the last possible date for accommodation, as a major renovation begins in April.
WHAT WE LIKED
RELAX
We started with a walk around Petrovo, from where there are not only beautiful views, but it is a nice place to relax and have a picnic in an open area.
MOVIE LOCATIONS
Then we couldn't resist seeing three movie spots from the movie Dědictví aka fucking guys good tag with Bolek Polívka in the lead role.
TUGENDHAT VILLA
Our young guides showed us the garden of Villa Tugendhat, where we were delighted with the freedom of movement and free entry. Ulice Schodová did not leave us cold and we had to at least count how many steps it has. You will find out in the video :).
VIEW OF BRNO
The town hall tower with the "Brno dragon" and a view not only of the nearby square Zelný trh is directly available for viewing. It was an experience at such a height on the roofs of the city of Brno.
CAT CAFE
When we heard that Brno has more than one cafe with free-roaming cats, we had to see it for ourselves. The Schrödinger cat cafe near Dominikánské náměstí left us with impressive impressions of the friendly atmosphere of the establishment, to which the local cats certainly contributed.
CAFE IN THE MUSEUM
The second day in Brno was downright "after haluzi", as they call something in Wallachia, when you don't plan it and miraculously everything turns out extremely well. A pleasant meeting with the staff of the Mendel Museum revealed to us the secret of this modest genius of his time. Morning coffee and cake at Café Mendel right in the museum premises, the icing on the cake was a visit to Bistro Divočina in Údolní street under the castle, but when we are in Brno again, this is definitely a good tip. where to eat out
Brno thrilled us and we are glad that we have greatly improved our opinion of this city.
