Amen brother, guns don't kill, people kill. I have several Turks and a 98/22 , and I think the 98/22 is the slickest gun I have. Thank GOD FOR THE CONSTITUTION! GOD BLESS YOU! GOD BLESS AMERICA!! GLORY BE TO GOD!!!
I’ve had my 98/22 for 20 years now, but didn’t know what it was until I saw this (and other) video(s) on RU-vid. Thank you for making this video and helping me figure out my rifle.
Just got the same rifle love old military 1893 agintene was my first mauser I shot my Czechoslovakian Mausertoday chambered in 8mm I love it definitely will be watching thanks for a grate video
The Turks had also a 98. The Turks had the same model in 7.65 caliber and then starting in 1938 changed their barrels to 8 mm patrone. Making them what American importers call M-38 which was never a model, just a nomenclature given by importers.
I think you are forgetting the fact that the turks 88m rifle where model 93 tha t they upgraded to 8mm from 7.65. Later they started making and using m98 action. Aka m43. This is model is model 98 action base on the gew98 with updated rear sites.
I'm going to be at Toyota in Cleveland in a few weeks I was going to see if you wanted me to bring some of my custom high end AR's and pistols down with me so you can do a review on them
Where is the serial number located on the bolt ? Mine is number matching but not sure about the bolt, also has letter Y on the stock behind the trigger do you know what that means?
9:01 - 9:10 awww yeah!!!!! The incrementally adjusting rear sight on the Vz. 98/22 rifle! That answers my question and I finally seeing this mechanism on Czechoslovakia’s first Mauser rifle. The Vz. 98/22 rifle has incrementally adjusted rear sight. The Vz. 98/22 is a copy of the Mauser 1912 rifle, which it is weird, but it’s actually much better. I like this rifle a lot, the best Gewehr 98 copy.
