This fix doesn't always work, because the mirror is tripped by the second shutter curtain closing. I've found that thoroughly cleaning the second curtain slow speed delay mechanism to sort this problem out.

i have the pentax honeywell es simalr problem but i know its a diff camera so there probaly not built the same way inside but you think if i use this method to fix my problem it would work ?? plz help!

No it is the Spotmatic F

The battery original is Mallory PX400 but now forbied . You can use a siver oxide - 387s or S400PX . The batterie is only for the Exposure meter . The camera fires without battery at all speeds! If you have problems with batterie , you can use a hand light meter with your Spotmatix Sp II
