Correct, it is E-standard on the album, but they use D-standard tuning live. I'll be working on Ion Storm too, soon! :) And the violin parts on 1:16 are kinda difficult to get to sound good, but definitely playable. :D

With the right picking technique, I'm fully relaxed in my wrists while playing these tempos, so I'm able to play tremolos for a long while without tiring much. :) I explained it in more detail in a comment below.

@@JonasEide I know, I was just joking 😄 You couldn't play this song as good as you did if your tremolo picking wasn't 110% relaxed 👍 Mine is too now (wasn't while practicing) and I'm about done learning the song... going to cover it in near future 🤘

Thanks a lot! Regarding tremolo, I think the most important think is to relax, and not use the biceps primarily. Think of it as shaking your hands real fast to dry them for example. As you might see, I'm not really using a lot of arm strength, I'm mostly only shaking the hand/wrists. If you can get a good feel for that way of playing, you can work up speed and string precision. This is not far from the way they play rasgueados in latin guitar music. Or if you are palm muting in high tempos, you will need to use bicep strength. But in this song, I don't need to follow the 16th notes, it just needs to sound fast, so I'm doing something inbetween 8th triplets and 16th notes -- in a tempo that comfortable and only using wrists. This is also the most ergonomic way to go about it, it won't hurt in the long run ever. Cheers!
