I don't think EJ45 can be compared with Sugar. They are no match. EJ45 is ordinary, but Sugar is not. I have been playing for over 50 years, and I have never come across anything like Sugar. It's not only sweet and crispy, but the intonation is so accurate and consistent across all strings.
Thanks for the comment. I totally agree. The sugars are on another level. The comparison is just to help anyone that has never tried them to have a "taste"and maybe decide to try them himself/herself.
I think maybe in a few weeks but when I have more information I will let you know. Most probably they will at first be available if you order them directly from Aquila's website, and some time after that, in big retailers like stringsbymail and others for US and Thomann, Lord of the strings etc. for EU as they already have Aquila strings. One might also get more info emailing Aquila in their contact email. Have you tried the current sugars? What kind of sound do you like best, nylon (like Augustine classic etc.) or fluorocabon (like Savarez alliance etc.)?
@@andreaskikinas I have Aquila Ambra 900 on my 1966 Hanika which sound like gut and silk strings . I want to trie a more clear and powerful set on my 2017 Hopf Conservatory II. I always have been using John Hope JH007 strings until now in this guitar.
