This man will have you in the kitchen cooking that man some macaroni and cheese, green beans, sweet potatoes,,a damn smothered porkchop with some white rice after a session...and I'm a vegetarian.Slapped my ass back to my granddaddys porch, shit got that much soul.
Male Version of Lauryn Hill ! Glad they collabed for Nothing Even Matters ! Another beautiful soulful song by 2 Wonderful Outstanding Black Artists ! We need More musically inclined artists like this today 2019 / 2020 , like if u agree
I wrote my audio engineering thesis paper on Voodoo. The journey they went through to create, mix, and master this album is truly a masterclass on the blending of analog and digital recording. D'Angelo is such a genius and the musicians he surrounded himself with were the best in the industry, and most of them said that it was one of the most difficult albums to write and record. The effort was well worth it!
What would this world be without Black Music? D'Angelo manifestation of Pure Soul! on planet Earth! feel the music all throughout your system! his silky voice the rhythm of the drum rockin the bass melodies from distant galaxies rising to intense orgasms switchin from guitar to brass to lyric to voice to bass to cymbal to snare drum lovin these vibrations Tred2019
Not a damn thing. Black music will live on. Have you heard Abraham Alexander? Excellent collaboration with WILDER WOODS rendition of SAM COOKE " BRING IT ON HOME " PEACE!!
So smoooth......love this song....love him. This song is like that long, warm embrace that you want to keep, where you lose track of time while you're in it...my boy D puts it down.
my soul was grieving when i found out Roy passed and he wasn't even old. it did not make sense. then i found out he was dealing with an ailment for many years and it finally took him. it is so sad .
Pretty sure it got a 10/10 on Pitchfork. But yeah, overlooked in the sense that next to none of my friends know who this guy even is. God, this is some good stuff.
I played this whole CD until it would not play anymore . It reminds me of when I was truly vibing on someone . We were so in LOVE . Still are still this day .
Anthony Hamilton and Angie Stone. The Soultronics had some heat for musicians and singers. I went to see him live back in 1999 or 2000 and man that concert was so dope. And yes he can sing and play live.
Honestly , my soul would be satisfied if D'Angelo would just make more music like this AND continue to tour with small and intimate crowds . His music is medicine to my soul 💕
Chill mood, I agree 👍 💯 🙆♀️ my heart is galloping all over my bedroom. Hope he'll make a merry come back. Talent of a heavenly sent angel Jamaica 👌 💛 🇯🇲
And I'm gonna like my own comment, which I never do. This album deserves that and so much more. Great song. Great album. Great artist. Just my opinion ... but I'm not wrong.
I know this is weird but every time I listen to this I think of good soul food cooking...fried chicken, sweet potatoes, greens, potato salad, and corn bread etc
This is DEFINITELY one of D'Angelo's best songs-along with songs like, 'Untitled(How does it feel?)', 'Feel Like Makin' Love', 'Brown Sugar', 'Higher', & 'When We Get By', among others.
