Thank you very much, this is a great lesson. I worked for the Church, in France and was less than two hours from my family. Then, 4 years later, a new Area Presidency was created at the French/Swiss board. It meant that some of us would be transferred there. It was my case. We left behind our families, friends, homes and started in a unknown place. Because we were almost a 100 or little more, we had great experience, we were like pioneers in that part of France. However, there were two to three wards in Geneva, Switzerland. It was hard for the members there to have this big group arriving among them. However, because we joined them, the ward increased and another ward was created. Then again, then a branch was created in France. Years later, the branch was closed to create a ward in France. Now, we have two ward in France. The countryside and sceneries are very beautiful. We are surrounded by mountains (Alps, Mont-Blanc, and Jura), and a big lake (Geneva) and others. The firt Area Presidency called it "the Little Salt Lake". Yes, we had to leave and go far away but we have been very blessed to be in this place. One of the blessings was to have the general authorities with us. We did not have a temple close to us, in Paris area. We had to go to the Frankfurt Germany temple (at least 10 hours drive). This move allowed us to be at a 2 hours drive from the Zollikofen temple, Switzerland. There is a temple in Paris, France, now. This is a great blessing for France.
I am from Eagar Az and my ancestors were converted by Sidney Rigdon. I am loving learning more about the conversion of Sidney Rigdon. I am putting pieces of my family's history together with your podcasts.
I was temporarily living in Painesville, Ohio and one day while out driving I came upon the original Temple in Kirtland, Ohio. There is a visitor's center right near there and I loved my time studying with the Sister Missionaries.
💞thank you for sharing your knowledge, I’m doing the same with my family and friends, I’m from Mexico 🇲🇽 city and I translate your videos / information into Spanish, you are awesome! One of my favorite videos is about Potter Rockwell 💞 thank you! 😊
THANK YOU from Kirtland, Ohio.... I am new to the Kirtland area, originally from California. But being here helps to bring the history of the early church to life for me. Thank you for all the great information you share with us.
Hey Bro Petit, pls forward to me the contact info of that Italian member you mentioned at the beginning. BTW, absolutely LOVE your commentary, and knowledge of church history. Wonderful! Thank you So much!
I am pretty sure that what Christians who follow the commandments and active obedient members of the LDS church soon will start to suffer as much if not more than they did in the 1800’s. The world is quickly becoming that evil, they will not allow us to be wholesome without consequences. Scary stuff. But I love knowing that God is in charge...
Thank you Tom for this amazing message and content of the lesson. Would it be possible to have the reference of the stories you are sharing that are not in the lesson, just those who would like to study a little more? Thank you in advance.
I really enjoy your videos and appreciate the lessons. It does help in understanding especially with multiple perspectives. I do have a problem with your personal “proofs” of what these scriptures are saying. We need to keep our personal opinions aside. I’ve seen it before and didn’t say anything, but it’s important to recognize them. That way we’re not spreading misinformation. D&C 38:8 (you mentioned it’s not referring to the second coming) If you follow the footnotes in this verse, it will lead you directly to the second coming of Christ. (Malachi 3:2) Not trying to be disrespectful nor disproving anything, I believe in our leaders telling us the truth or meaning of things. Specifically with the scriptures. Many fall away due to the misinterpreting of things.
Brother Tom has done his do diligence, and is sharing his years of study and knowledge with us, for which I am truly grateful. He states fact, and so says. He states his opinion and interpretation, and so says. I appreciate his testimony and obviously his inspiration. He couldn’t do what he does without the influence of the Holy Ghost. We are free to chose to agree or disagree and to do our own study and come up with our own interpretation. We can then hide our testimony and knowledge under a rock or share that with others. If we “hear Him” and let the spirit guide us, he will help us dispel all falsity. I, and I believe a majority of his subscribers appreciate his personal “proofs” of what these scriptures are saying. Keep up the good work Tom, what you are dong is definitely gathering Israel. Submitted by Austin Horn
