I think mine is out of tune. Not sure with variety and I tossed the box because it sounded so nice I forgitvto test the scale. 😢. Mine has the oval dents and says D1 on the cloth

They are both nitrided. I’ve just started a journey into the world of stainless and producing some really nice pans with it.

Nice video !!! Could you tell le the manufacturer of your 2 Handpan please ? nitrided steel or stainless steel?

I am the maker and they are made with Australian nitrided steel.

kurd sounds like something on lower notes, right?

Kurd does feel a bit lower. Celtic has a hi C note whereas the Kurd finishes on the hi A note 3 semitones lower than the hi C.

thanks for your feedback. your the 3rd person to say this. I am meaning to make a better video but rarely have both celtic and Kurd at the same time. maybe this year I will make them together and make a clearer video. cheers, MattO.

i have uploaded a new comparison of the D kurd and the D celtic. here is a link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AZ0yEec3qak.htmlsi=3S1LJkYs5o65zx1K the difference is that D kurd has a low Bb note and only goes up to A whereas the Celtic skips the low Bb and goes up to the hi C note.
