Love the sculpt. Its just a shame the scrapped the actual Purple dragon, due to " too many " dragon mantra while developing 5e. Nowhere does it state the Deep is Purple dragon in Fizbans. The Deep is also a cousin to the chromatics while both the 3/3.5e/4e Purples where actual true chromatics, just not of the 5 main. Lets also not forget Richard Alan Lloyds Purple dragon from Dragon Magazine 65. They all 3 are Underdark dwelling. As I see it, living in the three distinct layers of it. Deep dragons = Lower U.D 3/4e Purple dragons = Middle U.D Lloyds Purple dragons = Upper U.D The Deep dragon gave psychedelic spore breath, 3/4e Purple have energy breath with confusion effect and Lloyds Purple have plasma breath and burrow up into open fields at night to prey on cattle, smaller towns etc. They all have in common that they are powerful, cunning, high on themself, manipulate U.D folk and hunger for intel and knowledge
