D-Day 80th GB: B-26 Marauder - Final: Finish & Reveal w/History

The final update on my Monogram 1/48 B-26 Marauder for the D-Day GB. I prime, address some minor issues, work my way through the paint scheme, then try out some new (to me anyway) weathering techniques. Then I put her on the turntable and give the D-Day account of the B-26's mission.
Thanks again to Charlie and Al for hosting an awesome group build. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nice eye on all those decals. I think it turned out Great!!!! Love how you have it displayed dropping bombs!!!! Excellent work. Loved the history to!!!! Thanks for sharing

Thanks Mike. Yeah, I wanted to do some sort of vignette or diorama sort of thing to commemorate the event. It was a challenge, but a fun build.

Very nice! I just finished this kit recently as 'Flak Bait'. I also did a flying display using a green marble round lamp base from a yard sale, looks great!😊 I did chipping via silver pencil & some chrome paint. What is tough doing flying display for me is finding enough seated crew figures...

Wow .. nice work. You built a monogram bomber in just a few weeks and made it look easy. You really summed up 1/48th vs 1/72 well, easier in some ways but harder in others. Great work, and thanks for the history lesson at the end

Thanks for a great build. I like the final result much. You transformed this old kit into a very realistic incarnation of a invasion Marauder. The pilots looks great behind the cockpit glass. I had a go with the old 1/72 Frog Marauder at the age of about 9 some fifty years ago. Did not succeed, then later i build the Matchbox Marauder in NMF at about the age of 11 and was pleased then. Must have had that Marauder fascination ever since, and now the Beautiful new ICM Marauder kit+ some 1/72 Hasegawa Marauders kits waits on my bench. Your build was very inspirational-Thanks from Lars P.S. will have to find some pilots too, they just looks great in brown leatherjackets and caps.
