Okay, DITTO! I have been natural for 20+ years and your video pushed me into finally doing my own microlocs! IT IS THE HAIR I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED!!! It took about 7 days, because I had to stop and work during the week. I was hesitant for years because I love my afro. But this still gives me so much versatility! My hair loves it. I have NO slippage because my 4C is like AHHHH What I've Always Wanted lol. Thank You So Much!
Researching micro Locs before I start mine this week. I'm so excited because I'm sick of trying to maintain all this loose natural hair. I wear it in mini twist most of the time anyway so it's time for locs and make it permanent.
I started my twist today. They are pretty tiny, I'm wondering if they are too small. But o made the mistake of blowing my hair out before I twisted them 🤦🏾♀️. I saw your video later about starting without blown out hair. So hopefully once I spray them with water it will be all good. I wanted them small though because I want it really full as they mature.
You inspired me to install my microlocs and mine look amazing! I can't wait to see the growth in 3 years time. Your hair is beautiful. I have 900 - 1000 locs and it is certainly doable with some patience and dedication. Plus I don't do anything else to my hair except for 5 minute braidouts a couple times a week.
Beautiful!!! I shared your post in a microloc/Sisterlock group I’m in on FB. You will be getting some technicians reach out I’m sure. I’ve been following your journey since you started. Absolutely gorgeous!!
Peace! Thanks for this video! I recently lifted the color in my locs, and I feel like the bleach made my softer locs knot up! The locs in the back that had been unraveling for my whole 1.5 years, FINALLY loc'd up! I love your journey, just saying, you may not have to wait! You could always do a test loc :) You look great!
I’m getting micro locs on the 26 of this month and I’m so excited! But the perimeter of my hair is super delicate and I’m scared of them falling out around my edges any advice? Also I love this video and you are one of the reasons why I am getting micro locs.
Hi Adrianna, I haven't experienced any breakage around my edges. Be sure to moisturize them, treat them gently, don't style your locs in high tension styles, and don't retie your edges too tightly❤️
@@TyKaraAnn Ok yea I will try that. I was actually thinking of getting the perimeter a little bigger than the rest of my hair but I’m not sure how that would look. Thanks for your response❤️
I'm for the idea of (hoping you get a loctician ASAP) after retie, your locs can be counted then give us some texture shots from root to tip- coz we know u haven't been doin that😄. Plus I'd love to see your mum's updates too...pleaseeee
I wanted micros but i was afraid to commit. I got my first relaxer ever this month ( I’m 17). I will not be doing it again, EVER. I wanna go bald and start over but my mom said nobut as soon as I get three inches of hair I’m getting locs. My mom doesn’t like them (most Jamaicans don’t and attach locs to unhygienic people and think they’re ugly) but imma get me some regardless.
@@TyKaraAnn I’m sure that I want them now. You and Chloe and Halle are my biggest inspiration hair wise if not microlocs I will be getting traditional locs. I’m living for me.
I’m Haitian and the older generation feel the same for locs. My mother was at first why? Why? Why? Because I want to! So I finally started & I wish I started a long time ago so start as soon as you can! I just started mines and my mother is thinking about getting hers done as well 🤔 It’s your hair!
Omg! I feel seen lol I have NEVER finished a retwist either and I was feeling bad af about it but f it 😂 a loctician to do these tiny locks would be love-ely!
And sis I blame you for all my troubles! You were one of my loc inspirations 😩😩 this is you and your locs fault! Jk 🙃 I have no regrets about my loc size the maintenance is just a whole hoe. Also you putting that blush in your crease/lid is perfect because it’s a nice warmth helps to blend your shadows and also helps the colors the look more natural & cohesive
I got a question! When u initially start ur locs how long should you wait before you wash ur hair? I’m assuming u need to let ur twist mat up a bit before washing cuz then it’ll unravel? ( my texture is 3C-4A)
I follow you because your hair is almost exactly like my daughter's. I keep waiting for hers to loc and its been a year + .Her ends also look curly and I do nothing to them, but I do notice her playing with them idly,so I wonder if that helps or it's just coincidence. What do u do to keep the hair moisturized?I find tha her hair "drinks" whatever little olive oil I spray on it n it always feels dry...also she is stuck in the shrink phase. Do u know when this phase will end lol I heard u mention the shrinkage is real n I recall when u locked it was longer,so was my daughter's. I am also locked, thank u for sharing your journey with us😘
To moisturize, I normally use distilled water and rosemary essential oil. I am not sure when the shrinkage phase will subside It has just started for me so we will see😁 Thank you for watching!
Sit and count them! Maybe show your grid or no grid... how you part your hair when you interlock them and speed up the video when you feel its needed for time. I'm in love with your locs PERIOD and love seeing them in their glory. 😍
