He was a pillar in his community and was well loved by the children and parents at the school he worked in ,where he provided lunches out of his own pocket for children that parents couldn't afford it. Had a valid permit to carry for all intents and purposes he was doing things right. Or at least trying. The crime scene investigation report noted the gun was not chambered , so how exactly was he going to shot this officer strapped to a seat with a condition 2 firearm? I think he was reaching for his wallet to show the officer his driver's license and permit to carry.. that was the mistake reaching for anything when stopped he should have kept both hands on the wheel.. I think if you look past his skin color and take a deep dive into the positive things he done within the school that he worked and how he was loved by many children and parents..anyone would see this is not the type of person that would draw down on a cop with his family in the car. This country like all countries is not perfect. It's not heaven, nor is it run by God. Therefore, I don't expect perfection, but I realize this country is a great country for me to live in, especially since my ancestors were here long before these immigrants from Europe came here to "discover" land that was already inhabited by my ancestors. Progress is always difficult, and often brutal. At this point in time, this system does work. There are too many wealthy, upper middle-class and middle class Black people in this country for us to think this system doesn't work. Again, not perfect, but workable. It's interesting to note, more White people have gotten killed by police officers than Black people in 2020 - 2021. Of course the media doesn't even talk about that fact, as they want us to feel marginalized and fearful. Millions of people are arrested each year; less than 1% are killed by police. 0% is the goal, but it will only get better by us (American citizens) working towards hiring better police officers, and working within the system to create change. Police officers who paint us with one brush (n******), need to be off the force. There needs to be a safe way for police officers to report "suspected racist officers". People like D.L. Hughley need to continue to speak and write out about what's going on, and to create better communication between people on all levels. We're not helpless. Always remember, there are people who want us to be stressed out, and to be unhappy. Stress and unhappiness can make you physically sick. Stick close to your family. Learn how to meet people who don't look like you, if possible. We're a very young country, less than 500 years old. Look at other countries who are more than 1000 years old, and how they treat their people. Millions of people risk their lives immigrating to this country every year. There's a reason for that. So much can, should and will be done to push America into a better America for all its citizens. I love D.L. Hughley!!!

D.L. is such an intelligent man. He’s gotten me to think about a lot of things in life. I have never understood the hatred against Black people...I’ve always had a special place in my heart for Black people ‘cause my best friend growing up in Hawai’i was Black/Japanese. As far back as I can remember, I told my mom, “I wish I was half Black”. I think Black people are so beautiful, they have an amazing culture, and they’re some of the most welcoming and hospitable people I’ve ever met. My ex boyfriend was French/Black and he was stunningly handsome. 😁

G-Man, if what you are saying is true, you deserve an apology. Here is my philosophy of life: Always look at the positive side of everything. Rather than complain that there are some incompetent cops, I praise the ones who are doing a great job and mourn the death of those who passed in the line of duty. It's a very difficult, very dangerous job that most of us don't have the balls to do. FYI, the number one killers in the country are hospital workers. While we often complain about the 1000 suspects killed by cops (99% of them in self-defense), hospital workers kill about 250,000 people annually. G-Man, what you are saying makes a lot of sense. Many times a police officer used deadly force and it didn't seem necessary. Perhaps those who are making all the decisions as to who should be indicted and who should not are considering those cases as "human error". Police officers shoot about 1000 suspects every year. We only protest a handful of them, about 1 per month. What about all those we don't protest? Is it because they are obviously self-defense? If yes, then we must concede that the thugs and criminals out there are very aggressive, especially when we consider how many officers are injured or killed in the line of duty every year. The proven aggressiveness of American thugs is what causes many officers to make mistakes. We can't punish human error. What I am trying to understand is why we are so focused on police officers. Do you know hospital workers kill about 250,000 patients every year out of negligence, incompetence and even malice sometimes? You are far, I mean very far less likely to be killed by a police officer than by a hospital worker, especially if you are a law-abiding citizen. When it comes to police officer, I am in control. I know if I don't break the law, they won't even come after me; and if they do, all I have to do is act like a civilized human being and I'll be just fine. I know that sooner or later, I will end up in a hospital. While I am unconscious, I have no control over what they are giving me, if I am receiving an overdose or if they are giving me the medicine of the patient next door. I am a lot more worried about hospital workers than police officers. Police officers are not perfect. Latrina Muhammad an officer arrived on seen after a call came in about a mother that left her baby in a hot car after locking herself out. The mother ran to officer and dropped to her knees and begged home to save the child. Now the officer busted the window and pulled out the baby but it had been hours before the mother realized her mistake and the child had already died from the heat. The officer however knew that the mother was hysterical and couldn't except the fact she had accidentally killed her child at that moment so the officer gave a bit of false hope by preforming CPR on the dead child until the paramedics arrived and could take the child. That was a the 3rd call of the day and the next one came in was a domestic dispute where the husband decided he knew exactly "what the police where up to" and wasn't afraid to tell everyone. That's the clean stuff though. It get worse when dead bodies are found after some time to cook in the sun.

"you cant teach your children to clean their rooms..." my mother explained me why its important to keep my room clean. my weekly income depended on the "work" i do at home, like cleaning my room, sorting my clothes, go out with the Dog etc. but even if that would´nt have been enough i bet she would´ve beaten the shit out of me. it never happened because i respect myself and my mom too much.
