I remember having to use the level skip on a lot of missions like the one where you collect laser guns as Bart. Went back and played it again after seeing the stream and all you really need to do is not follow the arrows religiously and break into turns. Even beat the last mission my first try. I didn't play it in a single 11 hour burst though. That's just suffering.

Of course, but one major problem is that while the game is absolutely brutal on its time limits he apparently forgot or never learned the shortcuts or the map. Also playing it one sitting is just asking for you to get mad and being unable to concentrate.

I might be wrong but I think the AI was designed to to accelerate to a speed impossible to be reached by the player if the player's car gets ahead of him. That shit is legit the worst kind of race game design to date and I've only ever seen it in two other games; both equally as brutal as H&R. But I never expected it to be in a children's game

Fucked up thing is that - among other things - the timer on the laser mission was added pretty late in development - there's a prototype build floating around where it *just isn't there*.
