The final 5 minutes of this are absolutely poetic. His unjust failure just inches from victory shattering his spirit completely, and then executing an inhuman feat of reflex and skill to vanquish his enemy. And yet, he is still hollow; it's too late out to get a cheeseburger, it's all been for nothing.

During his final attempt, it was like he was using the vehicle-time ability from GTAV, just weaving inhumanly between cars. He was using Ultra Instinct.

I like how the games' level aesthetics and soundtrack parallel his mental state while playing the game- first level: bright, cheerful, laid-back, optimistic, carefree. Last level: dark, scary, doom-ridden, chaotic. The incoherent zombies walking around the map represent what he's become and his descent into madness. Truly poetic cinema for the modern era. Hitchcock could never.

When I was 5 - 11, I used to gnaw on my nintendo controllers out of frustration/rage with games. I remember I got Bomberman 64, somebody had already unlocked all the levels, and I played the later bosses without knowing what the hell I was doing, and I went full hamster mode on my poor Donkey Kong jungle themed controller.
