Been watching you for a while without really commenting. First, I'll start off by saying Jim Koch was one of the weirdest, most OCD MFers I've EVER met in my life...and one of the best dudes. Second, the thing I love about this sport is how you can watch people improve just through hard work. Ben Askren...he's not going to be a unique or special athlete in ANY other sport. He's not athletic. But he has an insane work ethic(and ego). So watching you go from a good HS Wrestler to what looks like a guy who could really do some damage at the D2s this year has also been fun. And I love how you seem to appreciate it. You also got lucky and got Becker. Helluva coach. Or...at least he was a great Wrestler. I assume he was a great coach.
I am a high school wrestler who has only been wrestling for 3 years love the sport and guys like cayden are helping me get better and helping the sport grow keep up the good work cayden respect your craft hope u win a national title some day keep working
I've been watching you for a few years now..your videos give me the vibe I'm still wrestling in college. You've improved a lot since the first video I seen of you in a dual match. Keep up the good work and the great content!
i actually love your videos man, i just had a meet and i've been watching your videos before and i really think its made me better. keep up the great work, you being great makes other people wanna be great.
Your shot is quick and low, but what makes it so fun to watch is your finish and ability to know exactly where your hips and legs are falling. Great balance. Congratulations!
I have my first tournament this Saturday and seeing this video pumps me up. I'm ready to get back into wrestling after recovering from my knee injury. Love you Cayden keep it up!
Getting better every time he hits the mat. That's what hard work does in this sport. Still remember watching you wrestle at our Waupun meet all the time.
man that low single was right on the money for you all day long. Great stuff and congratulations! The blast double was pretty great too in the final, especially when he fainted / changed level @ 10:22 making it harder to sprawl.
Love the slide by in the semi final match. It was my number one takedown. I use it in jujitsu now, no one expects it. That low single looks like a favorite of yours now. Keep up the grind and solid content.
Yo those tournament tips are gonna be huge. I didn’t have a great tournament last night and they reshuffled the brackets after I had already wrestled one so I just kinda, lost it. Def gonna use this at my next tournament/meet. Thanks
@@ryan20652 Not meant that way at all. Nothing but respect for Cayden. I'm simply making the point that his extracurricular activity of his YT channel puts him in the position to study lots of tape of his technique, whereas other wrestlers with no channel don't have that opportunity. No diss intended.
I just wanted to say that you're a big inspiration for me and many others. I scroll through these comments and I see people saying this time and time again. I just finished my 8th grade season at 22-2, and I'm going into youth. My goals are varsity freshman year and to be a youth state medalist. Thank you for making these videos. They're awesome.
3rd😭Love your vid’s man, they keep me loving wrestling even during three a days and when it doesn’t seem like they’re paying off. Keep doing your thing💪
congrats on the victory. I had the opportunity to meet you at The Ranger Rumble. Thanks for being so kind to the kids and generous with your time. Keep cranking out these awesome videos, you're making fans out of us all!
I’ve been watching you since high school, and I’ve seen you grow and improve your wrestling. You’ve made yourself a true competitor, keep grinding man!
I posted about my first tournament(that I never got to finish) a few days ago, but it was just a JV. I had my first official Varsity tournament today and I won 5-0, all pins, and not a single drop of sweat. Let’s gooooo
I wrestled all through high school but never at the college level. Your a good kid and your hard work is diff showing in your wrestling. Continue with your speeches at the end of your videos. I guarantee they are helping young athletes not just wrestlers. Keep up all the good things your doing. Respect
I'm not a wrestler, so I don't exactly know what is happening, but from what I can tell Cayden is a dominant wrestler. also he seems like a super nice guy
Keep up the great work Cayden. The blast doubles are getting insane. The change of levels is intense. I also noticed you put in a couple of fireman carry takedowns on your last video. You will be a National Champion!
cayden your such an inspiration for me bro like you dont understand how much you have helped me. you were the reason i was able to win my first match last saturday i thank for that keep grindin bro
Holly crap that blast double. i did see a couple of times that new slide by could have worked with there knees down look for it man it's there for you.
It blows my mind watching an seeing you grow, from the time you didn’t make states to winning it the next year and now wresting at the collegiate level making big success it’s astounding. I’m so proud of you and thank you 💪🏽💪🏽
Love those low single legs, really nice takedowns. Also in the semifinal match, love that your opponent tries a slide by, and you immediately take him down with one. Agree with you that that first season you seemed tenative but you really took it to those first two opponents. Great final match, I love that you switched tactics, those blast doubles were fantastic.
One thing I did notice when you escaped you had your opponent's upper arm and let him go instead of immediately attacking with a carry or tip. I recommend engaging immediately instead of stepping away since you already had an advantage.
Congrats on winning! How do you find the right head space while injured to keep wrestling successfully. My junior year of high school I tore my meniscus in the semi finals. In the finals I was too timid and felt a lot of pain and I didn't wrestle in a way the even gave me a chance to win. Any advice would be super helpful
Do you remember ever facing North Central? I saw your first tournament video and you went against someone from NC, but I wasn't sure if it was the same school. A friend of mine won the d3 title from that school. Robert Precin. He was on my high school team. The best wrestler I ever faced.
Been watching your videos for a lil over a year now and I always thought man he's a good wrestler but in this video I was impressed you was a straight Monster on the mat. Subscribed 😎
Great job getting to the far side of the body with those blast doubles to prevent the elevator. You are right about maintaining perfect position being a simple concept but that it isn’t easy. That’s really what it is. Nick Lee made it look easy because his position is rock solid. You’ll be a great coach one day.
