I only had it turbo'd for a month or two and then sold it as many people wanted it. My buddy saw it on the road a few months ago so its still running now as far as i know! I have a turbo ranger build coming up now that I want to test how reliable it will with a turbo. But back to the civic, ran great when I had it!

@@nukeman4694 I got hondata but it’s a pain in ass and wasn’t about to get it tuned for $600 and I ended up blowing that motor swapped with a vtec and cold air intake and max speeding rod coil overs and just kept stock with exhaust and lights and sound system then got with a girl that was pregnant and traded it for a pos chrysler mini van

The right esc probably but turbo u need a map tune for more then 5psi

Exactly, thats what I have in my head as "safe". But my right foot gets achy and needs to lay flat sometimes ;)

"T3/T4 T04E T3 Turbo Charger .63 A/R Turbine Civic Universal Turbocharger" on ebay was the turbo i used. Mounting the turbo was very very easy. Out of the whole project, i would say the turbo oil drain line was the hardest thing to do. (It still wasn't even super hard). I have a 7 part series documenting the FULL BUILD of this civic. It jumped to 20 when I'd let off the gas fully. Cruising it was normally too rich!

It’s normal to lean out when you let off the throttle because of fuel cut.

@@angelavila2128 it’s normal to go a little lean but it’s going completely lean. If you had a tune it could keep it from doing that or when it starts to pegg lean give it some gas to try to level it out.

We'll see, Id have to convert to obd1 and right now I cant find a cheap way to do that. If you find a way to convert to obd1 for Less that $300 I'll 100% consider it

@@JWheelie yeah i had to spend 300 for obd1 wire harness. Because the A6 to Z6 swap required it to run proper. I did see you said you find another y7 but think of it this way would you rather blow this one up or just spend the 300? Just something to ponder on. Cheers mate

Yes, stock internals. Nothing is forged or after market inside the engine.

@@JWheelie Nice! Has anything disastrous happened to the motor at all since doing this without a tune? I know if you were to tune it you’d have to get like a stand alone ecu or an s300!

@@wazzupimhere Nope, as far as I know it still runs great. I sold it about a month ago. Yea, you have to swap to a y8 manifold as well as a few other things too!

Ok, if I do tune it I'll have a vid up for sure. ME and wiring don't get along very well either hahahahah. I don't think its very hard at all to wire. Only thing holding me back is the price... deciding if I want to dump $xxx into my turd box.

I have never even heard about the d16y4... actually maybe I scrolled past it on wikipedia. What does it make for hp? The y7 makes 106hp stock (non vtec, single cam)

@@JWheelie same 106hp no VTEC single cam, only Americans mostly make videos about turbo charging civics and d series, over here it’s not as popular and little information is out there

Just checked out your channel. No snow in Brule right now? How is the dirtbiking there compared to Bruderheim? I've never been to Brule to Dirtbike!

Suprising no snow on the dunes. I would say brule is way better. Worthy if youll find the single track + the sand hills.
