I wanted this aswell but we cant trust current Disney to fix TomorrowLand or anything else for that matter. Look what they did to our Splash Mountain. They have the woke reverse Midas Touch. I hope they just leave TL alone until new management steps in.
@@sandyd6602 Move star tours to Galaxies Edge and bring back the inner space ride, put a new show in the carousel, bring back mission mars because pizza planet sucks. Oh, and a new peoplemover. Then rip out autopia and submarines and reroute monorail and peoplemover accordingly to put a new land or two in its place.
This is honestly my thought as well. We’ve been promised an e-ticket avengers ride for years!! We’ve seen the concept art, we’ve seen the vehicle designs, we’ve heard of king thanos….. show me shovels in the ground!
@@Rrusso92exactly plus the original avengers e ticket had you flying around in jetpack seats using an all new ambitious ride system. This new multiverse version is a huge downgrade
@@dayoldbread1696 I’m thinking someone saw those plans and thought they were for king thanks ride but they were actually for Stark Test Flight or whatever it’s called. Honestly, that ride looks like you’re going to be on the ground level the entire time and not on the track that takes you up and around like the plans show. I can’t remember what RU-vidr I saw do I video about it, but it sounded awesome until they showed it at D23 lol
It is crazy to think that Disneyland will be celebrating their 70th Birthday soon. I remember going during their 30th birthday and winning a free single day pass back into the park for being the 30th person through the gates. My how time flies.
Lots of exciting news. I think Cars makes sense by Big Thunder because the landscape can blend really well together, but I get why it wasn’t taken well by many and why it’s confusing. I’m also torn about how I feel about Walt animatronic. But when I heard that Roy P has been in communication about all of it, I fell a bit better. Super excited about Villains Land!
Roy P. Disney is not Walt's grandson. Roy P. is the son of Roy E. who was Walt's nephew so Roy P. is related to, but not a direct descendant of Walt. I don't know if WDI is working with any of Walt's actual descendants, but I kind of doubt it or else they would have named them, I doubt that Walt's actual daughter, Dianne Disney Miller, creator of the Walt Disney Family Museum, would have been happy about her father being made into an animatronic robot.
I'm extremely excited about Walt Disney audio-animatronic. I'm going to see it every time I go to DL (every 2 weeks), for the rest of my life!! I literally cried when they announced it!
I'd like to be excited about all these announcements, but Disney and Bob Iger have a long history of announcing new attractions and lands whenever the company is doing poorly with Uber-wealthy shareholders and/or with the public that are nothing but vaporware. This combined with a slate of cookie cutter sequels on the film and TV side remind me of the slump of the mid-90s where it was all about profit and very little about guests and viewers. Color me skeptical, Disney is rotting right now, but hey, Iger is building a 2nd mega yacht!
I wish there were some announcement for Tomorrowland in Disneyland. That land really needs a facelift. It always one of my favorites lands and when I was a kind I spent a lot of my time there, but now I go there only for Star Tours basically then spend most of my time at Galaxy’s Edge and New Orleans Square area. I just want to see something new (and something old) in Tomorrowland. What I mean by old is the People Mover returning.
*PEOPLE MOVER! PEOPLE MOVER! PEOPLE MOVER!* 😂 Seriously though, I wish people would be louder about that. I wonder if Disney doesn't trust people in CA to be responsible vs people in FL? LOL Especially with all of the recent shutdowns AGAIN (seems they have had everything available at once maybe for three months in the past few years)...the walkways get SUPER crowded. Seems ridiculous they can't plan ahead for that/ don't care...
Most people think the Monster’s area will be where the underused Animation Courtyard is now, which is actually a huge space. The Cars concept art are nothing like what is in DCA. They are more off-road looking with a Southwest theme. So I think it would work. After all, you now have a “bayou” next to Thunder Mountain!
Sadly, it's been confirmed that the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island will be demolished for the new Cars Land 😢. PPP, can we get your opinion on this new development? We know you LOVE the canoes.
None of them are coming. I'm excited to watch Avenger Campus closed down after Disney is broken up like Standard Oil was and Marvel taken away by Washington.
I think the most important thing to come out of this presentation is NO CLONES! My biggest worry when they announced Cars coming to Magic Kingdom was it would just be a clone of Cars Land at DCA. Maybe some people were disappointed because this isn't what they are getting. Cars Land is beloved by pretty much every Disney Parks fan, but I think cloning it or anything is a terrible decision. It cheapens the thing we already have and love, and creates less value for us to go and visit other parks around the world. I see people all the time ask for original IP, but I think that we will probably not see much original IP in the parks going forward. But at least what we can continue to get is original stories and concepts with existing Disney IP across all the parks. Disney is doing the right thing here, and I'm very excited for what they could be doing with Cars at Magic Kingdom.
¡Jesus Cristo! I always say that “Disney owns the world” (or at least the cities of Burbank and Anaheim, California!) What else do they need? More money I guess. I have boycotted Disney for many years because of this and because a family of 4 can barely afford to go to Disneyland. They are so greedy and they’ll never have enough. I grew up here in Los Angeles and I absolutely loved Disneyland as a kid. Now I see what the company is. Was it always like this? I don’t think so. Sad 😔
Very fun video, I appreciate that you can admit you make mistakes from time to time. It makes you more relatable. Can't wait to see the Walt animatronic, I bet it doesn't smoke. LOL
I think it is brilliant that they are doing the Walt animatronic. So many of us have been complaining that the company is getting away from Walt's vision, so to let us see him and hear from him is a fantastic idea. Maybe it will even help them stay focused? I know, but I can dream.
Lots of good announcements! What surprised me was the lack of any hotel or DVC announcements. Also, DL really is getting nothing (except Walt AA) and also DLP. I also find it very strange that they haven't confirmed the location of either Avatar or Coco at DCA.
It's odd but I assume the Grizzly play area will be replaced with some of Avatar. It just makes sense. They should rename the park though because that area was one of the last special tributes to California. LOL (San Fransokyo being small/disappointing and fantasy, the boardwalk being something all around the country, as well as Hollywood being something more widespread now that they also entertain at Disneyworld...). I'm just excited they are doing more for Cars in Disneyworld! I think it's a bummer they don't have Cars Land.
@@Liz_in_the_OC Isn't that miles away from the parks? Brickley says they would do a Frozen land presumably behind the RR where it passes Tiana's Bayou and Pooh Corner but I'm not even sure about that. Anaheim would have to allow Disney to take more public street usage I'm pretty sure. I'd definitely rather see that than Avatar.
I'm assuming the Coco and Avatar sections are going to be part of the Disneyland Forward project, so likely they just can't really disclose the info right now because it's still being planned and subject to change
These "active development" ideas are 3, 5, 8 and 10+ years away. All of them depend HEAVILY on the future,...yes, "FUTURE"...financial health of the company. Disney will need to take on massive amounts of new, future debt for these ideas and investors + future Disney management "might" not be willing to approve it. There are zillions of historic Disney "active development" ideas that completely died or were severely slashed. We ALL know this is nothing new. Then there are the: "Oh,..no, no, no....the announced thing is NOT dead, it's just paused or on hold right now" (This one is VERY common...right??). I'm very sorry but I would almost bet my life that only HALF of this stuff will be "actually" be signed and financed...and "actually" paid for...in the next 10 years. The money is not there today. Park profits are being siphoned AWAY form the parks to prop up the rest of the company!!. DISNEY IS CURRENTLY HAVING DIFFICULTY PAYING FOR DAILY PARK OPERATIONS AND "PROPER" ATTRACTION UPKEEP AND MAINTENANCE TODAY!!! You guys ALL see and know this. Disney's finances must SIGNIFICANTLY improve in the future BEFORE most of this can happen. YES!!,..let's all be HOPEFUL and cross our fingers that it all gets paid and checks are ACTUALLY written to construction companies. But let's ALSO be realistic too.
Parks construction hit a slowdown with COVID and the Cheapek regime, which is why a lot of projects announced pre-COVID got cancelled during this time and D23 2022 announcements were just "blue sky". Now, construction is already underway for the two AK attractions, as well as for the Walt Disney animatronic at DL. I'm not too worried about finances because Disney has been producing a steadly flow of cash and currently has $6 billion cash-on-hand. its maintained a gross profit margin of 40% and net margins of about 10% over the past five years. and currently a net worth of $156 billion.
I feel the Walt addition is like a costume to keep the older(louder) fans quiet about getting away from Walts vision. I love Paris Disney, so I'm excited for the growth, and when I was there in April this year,I could see construction happening. As for anything state side, I'll believe it when i see it. They either take extremely long and/or change what they present. I don't expect anything for another 5-10 years at least. And no time-line given is another red flag imo, remember mary poppins!
I was disappointed you downplayed the Walt Disney show for the 70th anniversary of the park. Perhaps because you weren't actually there to hear the gasps and ovation of the crowd. This is huge. To have Walt in his office talking about his hopes and dreams for the park is epic. And to have a Walt Disney animatronic sharing the opera house where his first animatronic appeared is mind blowing.
Agree 💯 Chris didn't go to D23 for whatever reason🙄🙄 I don't understand why since he's a RU-vidr and that's all he does is Disney you would think that he would be the first to get a ticket to this show. And then he has the guts to actually put down some of the great things that are to come at the parks which is quite shocking to say the least😲😲
@@lvuittonlvr8698If you think that's ALL he does, you CLEARLY don't watch all of his videos, and you don't know what you're talking about!😂 And it's clear you have NO clue as to what "putting down" actually means. NOWHERE did Chris say ANYTHING dimunitive or vitriolic, or even ugly, in the slightest! He doesn't have it in him to be that kind of person. He just doesn't think a Walt animatronic is a great idea. He doesn't see it as a huge attraction to the parks. And he'd be right. I'M not going to rush to Disneyland just to see it. I'll catch it if I can, MAYBE after I've done EVERYTHING ELSE. So PUT DOWN YOUR PITCHFORK, and try to pay closer attention, next time.
@@tequila_joe7828 Well, that's your opinion. I think it's going to be a big deal at Disneyland. I can't wait to see it. I know it's going to be awesome😊
I am happy to hear about the domestic park’s new added attractions. I was hoping for some more news on Disneyland but am happy anytime they add something new like Smugglers Run overlay or retheme. Thanks for posting!
I forgot about that. Smuggler's Run. We rarely ride it because it's boring (as passholders we have ridden it about four times since it opened, mostly because of new people with us that want to see it). I also wish they would add more scenarios to it. Like I heard they originally were going to do. 😥 Best part of the ride is the outside and the famous sitting room photo op at the end of the line. TBH I would've rather they made the Millenium Falcon an open-guest experience with photo ops entirely, like the character houses in Toon Town and could meet Chewbacca and Han etc at the end!
@@wdwexploreandchill I really hope nobody is holding their breath for this! It's still in Blue Skies mode, meaning maybe in 10 years 🙄 I hope Encanto will arrive before 2030! 💯
I appreciate you and your family so much!! I found your channel because I’m going to Efteling with my mum and I’ve stayed for the lovely vibes. Thank you for being you ❤
Life is to expensive to accept mediocrity and I am holding out until they deliver. It upsets me that their are to many clapping seals who don't see that their getting robbed and lied to. Epic universe will hopefully force them to do better
Universal Orlando will have built a 4th gate by the time any of these new MK attractions are built. No hate please, love Disney. Have APs to both. Just being honest.
Thanks Chris, seems like an ambitious future, and there is a lot more to come over the next decade of so. 1) Likely almost everyone else, I hope they keep the muppets and move Monsters Inc to Animation courtyard. 2) In terms of Villains and and cars land. I do think Disney needs to have a full plan for the whole area before they start, as they are going to plan for transitions. I expect they will likely do the prep work for the whole area, especially if they are going o put a lower floor under the whole area. It just makes sense to do all the clearing and prepping of the whole area, build in the infrastructure, and then start building attractions. So they can/should start on all the prep work even if they don't necessarily have the final rides ready to be built in my opinion Also when discussing the Walt animatronic. You and some of the other contend creators might be in the park 50+ days a year. For most of us, the trip to the parks is a once a year thing or even once every few years. So we don't necessarily suffer from that repeatability issue
We’re really excited for the Cars addition! Radiator Springs in California is perfect. A new Florida version would be fantastic! I can’t conceive of why people wouldn’t cheer and go nuts! It must have been the delivery.
Same. I assume there was some miscommunication and/or the crowd doesn't understand they were talking about Walt Disney World. I know myself and my husband were shocked to learn Disney World only has a few (lame) Cars rides. We love Radiator Springs and might be moving to FL and Cars Land has Luigi's and Racers plus the land itself; we miss those a ton! Now maybe we don't have to . :)
Florida MK is going to destroy Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island will be the new reimagined land. That's why it's hard to fathom how it's going to be
Because it is going in Frontierland and replacing the Rivers of America. That's why. This is will completely ruin Frontierland, and the theming of the park as a whole. One of the worst decisions in Disney history
Thanks for the updates Chris! I purposely waited to watch your reaction video specifically to get up to speed on D23. I love your positivity, excitement, and honesty on all things Disney. Appreciate the work you do to bring all the Disney excitement all the way up to Canada! 😁
I heard about cars in the frontierland. It made sense to me. Because I kind of see those Red Rock hills as the background how well it could blend. And I'm most excited for a villians land and rides! The them to start there!!
One thing I’ve learned from hanging out in your comments section, people who “love” Disneyland also “hate” Disneyland. And it’s basically nonstop. They love to hate it. They hate to love it. Y’all, get over yourselves. You run a theme park company worth more than one hundred billion dollars and let me know how it goes.
Best thing announced was the Walt Attraction. Early next year they will break ground on avengers. But let me tell you. I won't go to the parks without riding the Walt ride.....
I am so excited about it all. Hopefully, we get additions to DCA in California (Disney Forward) and not replacements. I'm going to make the same comment I did on the Deadpool video two weeks ago: Walt would have hated a Villains land due to the sensibilities during his lifetime, but he would have been supportive of it because we are all so excited about it. Fortnite announced Malificent, Cruella, and Captain Hook skins, so those are the villains on Disney's mind right now for what its worth.
Monsters Inc door roller coaster absolutely we said that watching the movie in the theater! Where they will be putting everthing in DCA will be interesting. Hi Amanda glad you are there too! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I'm actually surprised they aren't doing something evolving around Descendants as big as that has became. Of course maybe could see this happening in connection with villian's land since they are the villian's kids.
Thanks for the updates, Chris. I saw a little bit on our local news. Like you said, I hope it doesn't take years for us to experience these new additions. 🤞😊
I’d love to see an animatronic scene of Walt in a boardroom scene yelling, pointing his finger at wide eyed, soiled pants individuals as he excoriates the hell out of current day “Leadership” for screwing up his vision in modernity. We deserve this!
Massive upgrades - just what WDS needs to fix it, give it a wow-factor center / heart. Adventure Bay is going to be a beautiful area to stroll round. Regal View eatery looks like it will be the most elegant restaurant in any Disney park. They're even having bespoke French porcelain tableware being made for this art nouveau restaurant. Bravo Disney!
I agree, put money into the US parks. The overseas parks are mostly financially out of bounds for US residents. I get the sense they don’t give a crap about the US.
Sounds like one of the best Parks Panel presentations in a several years. Lots of exciting stuff! While I'm biased to my home parks in CA, the villains land and Monsters Inc ride sound really exciting in Florida. I love the homage to Walt in the Opera House. Not a huge crowd draw, of course, but still a worthy addition to the only park he knew. Expanded Avengers Campus AND an Avatar ride (and perhaps a full land) at DCA? Couldn't ask for more. Lots of exciting things to look forward to.
I watched it live and took notes, Cars land in Frontier Land Magic Kingdom will be a Off road Race rally ride with hills, and splash puddles and the second ride will be for the little ones a whole family ride, all with Cars characters out of Radiator Springs on an adventure. Construction starts in 2025
Radiator Springs is 2500 miles away in California and exceptionally popular. I just hope the off road rally will be something that can stay open through most of the Orlando weather, not something that closes with any rain
That sounds awesome! I'm assuming most people didn't get excited at the convention because they thought they meant Disneyland or DCA. My family is likely moving to FL in the future (otherwise we will probably never be able to visit Disney World anyway), one thing we said we would miss the most from Disneyland was Cars Land. So even though it sounds like a smaller situation I'm excited. I know DW has a bit of Cars rides but they are lame for little kids, so I hope if they make another small kid ride it at least can be entertaining for a parent or sibling with that child as well, more than what they have at this time.
@@Liz_in_the_OC Radiator Springs is in California only. I would be so sad to miss it if I move to Florida, so I am excited they are doing more in DW for Cars IP!
Construction starts never. Disney told a big lie and committed perjury. Disney is getting broken up under antitrust and that means no more Pixar in the parks. No one will miss Pixar.
I agree friend...we'll just have to wait 10yrs for it. Disney is tanking and I'm afraid these are all gaslit announcements. Can't wait to visit EPIC Universe next year !
This is exciting. You mentioned Villains Land and how the concept may be blue skyish. I hope this announcement is not Iger trying to salvage his legacy towards the end of his tenure and the new leadership does not change the plans.
Not a complaint but just an opinion. I really like Disneyland for being different from Disneyworld as far as attractions and lands. I like to go to Disneyland for the idea of cars land and Indiana jones and I love the idea of going to Disney world for pandora. Now it seems they are both going to have similar to the same things so that kind of takes away from the magic. I love the night time parade idea! I’m so excited for that because paint the night was the BEST! We will see if they deliver with all this though. 😁
Hi Chris, thanks for update! However, I am Not thrilled at all about Avatar/Pandora. Just cuz Disney bought the rights, doesn't mean they need to make it a ride/land. Disneyland should get a Villians Land/Ride. OG Park with villians. So disappointed. I am a huge Marvel/Star Wars Fan but am not happy they are in the California parks. Should have made a new land for all this stuff. Could have left Splash alone and put Tiana's in the new land with Marvel and Star Wars. Oh well, they didn't ask me. :)
Maybe that will be what Disneyland gets in it's Disneyland Forward expansion plot in the future. We can dream :) I think it was the right thing to focus on DCA at Disneyland Resort. DCA needs a lot more love than Disneyland, it doesn't even have enough rides to fill a full day without re-riding things. They announced 4 new rides for DCA I think. That's like increasing the number of rides there by about 20%
Avatar is going to be similar style to Shanghai Disney's Pirates Looks like some of the old Dreaming Up Floats from Tokyo Disney will be used in the new parade at WDW
Not to be biased, but I definitely believe disneys hand was forced by universal, almost to clone status, I also believe universal will already have an expansion on epic universe before any of this comes to completion
Why iffy? It's awesome! I am a passholder in CA and one of the most lame things about FL would be no Cars land, even though it seems they are adding more Cars rides vs a whole land. I heard they are also planning an Indiana Jones ride finally, so that's good if true. Only other things I'd miss would be our Small World (exterior in CA is the BEST and hallmark of Disneyland for my family), and the uncovered TeaCups ride. But Cars Land is the main thing we would miss if we move to FL.
The Cars ride was the biggest surprise to me. I'm glad it's not exactly the same but it does seem like an easy way to put in a large and popular attraction without much effort. Same thing as Indy replacing Dinosaur. They need big hit attractions to compete with Universal but these both seem like a way to do that while saving some development costs.
Apparently Josh said everything should be ready in about 5 years, which seems unrealistic, but at least it gives the true feeling these are Actual Things Happening. As someone whose homepark is DLP, I am kind of disappointed. It's almost embarrassing how little we're getting compared to the US parks. The only truly new things are: We're getting a new land with 1 ride only, with characters that aren't rare in DLP (I sadly don't see the hyenas getting a set meet & greet) or don't exist. We're getting a new nighttime show (not a parade); this one was the only true surprise. Everything World of Frozen related we already knew (meet & greet, show), we just got a year for it now. Our parade is in rough shape and we really need a new one and now I worry they won't announce it until the next D23 for the year after. This parade doesn't have another 3 years in it. I'm also personally devastated, because I'll be going on a once in a lifetime trip to WDW, end of September 2025. Meaning all the amazingly awesome things announced, are out of reach. Even the Zootopia attraction that was announced at the last D23, is opening Winter 2025. I had hope it would be open in time for us, but alas. It's heartbreaking, but it is the way it is.
I really think that Disney missed the boat(pun intended) with the Coco and Avatar rides in DCA. Looking at the concept art both rides are going to be boat rides, for Coco i think it's fine but both. Can't we get some more imaginative for Avatar. It's good for Disney because they're people eaters and easier to maintain. Hopefully they'll won't be screens rides and be more practical.
I think the cars expansion is a great idea and fits the theme of frontier land perfectly. I think it’s brilliant and no one will be disappointed if or when that opens. As for villains land -I know resources are always a factor but I feel like Disney should open up a completely new park doesn’t matter in what state to me, but a park that’s geared more for adults and just have villains land there.
How? They are gutting the Rivers of America. Either you will have to see 21st century cars driving around in 1800s America, or at the very least you will have a giant cliff face to block it, right next to this mining town. It just makes no sense. Big Thunder will lose its magic
I'm really confident they wont get rid of muppets. They just updated the theatre seating. Monster's Inc will probably go in the Animation Pavilion where Star Wars Launch Bay is located.
Disney should have opened a new park that is focused entirely around “lands” or “worlds” that are themed specifically to their films and franchises. The villains land would have been perfect for that, but they could have also done a heroes land and an X-Men land later down the road. They have so many IPs they could use for that park. I just don’t understand why they haven’t done that.
