Travis explains the different uses of the Flatpack and how you can set it up based on your needs. For more information on the Flatpack and to check out the latest color Disruptive Grey go to. www.haleystrategic.com
I have been using this back everyday for almost a year. I have heavily modified it to fit my needs( added plate carrier shoulder pads, hypalon zipper pulls, Velcro lining, and shock cord adjustment straps. Outstanding quality and easily configurable! thanks for making kick ass gear!
I never comment on gear reviews,99.999%of the time it's same old same old,hi-tech,ninjafied,next best option. For a limited time it can be yours for A low low price of only $972.43, this item here however just changed the way I look at things. I'm from Alabama and it's either 100°+,and or 100%humidity all of the time. We hate weight and ineffective, unusable gear. The swamps are not the time to find out you bought cheap, bullshit gear. The HSP D3 line just slapped me in the mouth. T. Haley we're all going to order this item today and run it through what more often than not turns out to be a gear graveyard. We truly appreciate the effort and ingenuity you and your people are putting forth to make life a little easier. Apache3,Ft.Benning,GA
Bought the EDC version for going to college with the GI Bill. The design and quality are top of the line as to expect from you guys. specifically says uses for school bag, but standard folders and writing tablets dont fit without bending and creasing the corners on your paper material. Increasing the height and width by 1in each would alleviate the problem and not hinder operational function. Not a complaint just some helpful feedback from a loyal customer for hopefully version 2.0
Well now that I switched to a different encryption protocol I got to watch it. That thing is slick! The integration with the existing chest rigs and the versatility of compression vs expansion is a great asset. 👍 Well done Travis
I truly love your outlook on everything Travis. I take it to heart. I'm running your HSP offset mount, WML, along with your incog rifle bag. This will be another tool in the box I hope to pick up in the near future. Thanks for everything you have to offer to the community.
Awesome universal pack! I have installed it on my Strandhogg which I use for SWAT. One thing that this pack needs is loop (Velcro) sewn in the pockets, for easier organization for items like Cyalume stick holders, NOD pouch, other things that need to be accessed quickly without fishing around in the pockets for them.
Travis, I use your D3 chest rig almost everyday at work ICW my MF LPAC. I can't wait to get my hands on a flat pack once I can! Thank you for releasing such innovative products! Hope to attend a class or six at some point!
would be excited to see this same concept but perhaps on a 24/72hr bag! Purchased this a while back and while its an amazing product, I would love to see a bigger pack for hikes/patrols. Keep up the great work!
I researched all brands, haley was a good contender, grand thumb reviews, went with flat pack and micro rig. They are amazing carried the Saw ammo 800-1000 rounds in the flat pack and it did above and beyond. Thought the weight would destroy but no issues and low profile with Afghan dress was the perfect solution. Had friends borrow my setup when I was away and they loved the movement and quality. Would highly recommend this brand and it is all I will go with in my career.
This is some slick shit. I always wanted something like this back in the day. That Disruptive Grey is money. I'll have to pick up one for EDC and one for my kit.
The side straps also make a great "sternum" strap if you add a female buckle to one of them. This pack really made me realize how much wasted space I had in my previous pack (Grey Ghost Stealth Operator.) It fits everything I carried in that (in flat mode) but feels much less encumbering.
Officers man I hate officers. Lolz although mad dog is the man. That's why nutnfancy talks the way he does. When ever I meet prior service it irritates me when they tell me how awesome there mos was. Shove it pog I don't care. Lol.
T F actually he doesnt claim to be anything he isn't. Been following him since 2008, along with many other well known guns/gear channels. Infact I'd say he founded the whole table top review concept that has been mimicked by others.. probably those you watch. He also probably does more shooting, and gear testing than most (just look at his extensive playlist of feature length reviews). Furthermore judging from his wife, and having multiple kids I'd say your comment is a fabrication of some weird/odd fantasy of yours wishing to be fulfilled. Check out the reviews on Grindr.com, that maybe more up your alley.
Just ordered one in Coyote for my edc to replace my discontinued Blackhawk Strike Tsunami (black) it's a shame that Blackhawk discontinued the bag, and put so much external molle on it... really just needed a smaller bag, and being expandable affords adaptive options for other uses. Look forward to receiving it.
would love to see a hook and loop interior for a medic set up so I could put individual hook and loop backed pouches inside. looks really cool though love the setup
they look awesome a bit expensive I'd like to know if I could get the grey with the Velcro webbing to match my carrier but I also like the EDC aspects to it as well ahhh decisions decisions....
😂 this had me cracking up inside looking at this video compared to the Flatpack Plus from a marketing perspective...Trav completely stayed away from mentioning the fact that aside from the bladder pocket, this thing has absolutely no dedicated organization compartments in it or even the velcro like the Plus to give you the added ability to customize your internals. Still a great look at an innovative pack, just not a complete look. At the very least, seems like the price should be under $100 for what you're actually getting.
Is there any waist strap system if it's not hooked into the chest rig? It's important to me that it not slide forward when I'm upside down or head down and also if I'm running I don't want it moving around.
Armor plate for FlatPack: Do you, or anyone you'd recommend, have an ultra high density polyethylene armor or something similar (3A+) that fits into the flatpack? Suggestions?
Dear sir, I highly appreciate that you are sharing your big experience. Please don´t laugh at me, but I wanted to ask you, if you are willing to make a video about how and with which stuff you are cleaning your rifle. I´m sure, that you have developed a very efficient and fast way to do so, over all that years. Would you be so kind, to share that with us? Best regards, Ouw.
At 3:40 He cited a 1-liter Source bladder. Source is the brand name. Good luck finding it. there is something on the Source web site called the Ripple 1.5L hydration bladder
love my flatpack. would be awesome if the gussets were constructucted from or inegrated some woven elastic to allow it to fit more cheeto puff- i mean all of my TACTICAL stuff. lol. but for real, awesome product.
Can we fit a Camelback 50oz short military antidote. what bladder does it come with or what do you recommend ? I bought the D3 with the idea of a car carry system by adding the flat pack. it is listed as a 1L hydro bladder but I have not found a 1L bladder anywhere. Any advice would be appreciated.
Would it be in any other color?I like the original one with big velcro and multicam/ranger green/black......but, I really love this new more "backpack" backpack. Is it possible you guys present a choice between velcro or not, and choice of different colors. One more thing, could the velcro be a little bit smaller than the original? I thought maybe most of the people won't use that much space.
No other company could've made anything like this better than Haley Strategic. I'm just amazed with the whole system. Definitely looking into investing in some new gear. Also if you guys havnt already could you guys design a rig built for people who operate with shotguns? That would be a big help with my home defence/ go kit.
Does anyone know if this will fit the Warrior Assault Systems Pathfinder Chest Rig? I know it's not made for use with the Pathfinder, but it looks like an exact fit with the size and the buckles.
To bad your not at your house in Montrose anymore I would've walked over and bought one, Guess when I go to AZ in Dec I'll come visit you and pick one up. Since I bought the D3CR I can't put it down it is my go to rig now.
+HaleyStrategic lol yeah i know you can ship I already picked up your full CR kit love this thing. Funny thing was I would see you flying your glider at times, And I just found out Steve C was one of your instructor he is a buddy of mine small world. I'll have to stop by your AZ shop when I'm down that way next time. Cheers brother
I like the fact that this can hold a DC3R and makes it nice and discrete for EDC but it brought up a question. Are there any plans to make a DC3R with just pistol or subgun pouches in stead of rifle mag pouches? On a side note is the DC3R-H going to be available in Ranger Green?
No I did see the video I just want more people to make more covert gun cases, Bags and clothing That does not say i have a gun follow me home and die trying to take my stuff I want a oh shit kit too look Like a 90s school kid book bag You know kind with that leather bottom and the blue nylon upper And my gun bag to look Like a old nylon gutar or skatebord bag But made for a m-4 or ak-74 Or DMR type system Your doing a good job Keep on
I picked up a black flatpack earlier this year direct from your website and it didn't come with the two additional side straps. Is this a new addition or were they forgotten in my order?
No, this is a recent change... The new addition is included with the new price so you didn't get shorted. You can find the straps on our website in the accessory page. www.haleystrategic.com/haley-strategic-flatpack-side-straps
is the kryptek patterns a possibility for the future? just wondering if I should wait as I bought the d3cr in the highlander pattern or just get one of the available patterns and miss match them...i do like the concept and will pick one up either way...thanks
