It's awesome that he showed a medic configuration. Most people tend to skip over the medical usages of their products, but Haley Strategic remembered. Highly considering getting this
As a basic civilian who can appreciate quality gear, I'm glad you implemented accessories such as the laptop bag and what not. Perfectly adaptable every last thing!
You had me with the travel configuration. Absolutely sold it with the medical configuration. I've been looking for a daypack to store my routine veterinary supplies. As a compliment to my work belt, the Flatpack Plus is going to be a phenomenal daypack.
This will be perfect for my Corpsman!! Now it's a matter of convincing the Chief and Supply Officer to get an open purchase for us. I'm going to have to buy it myself and present it to the Chief and SUPO. Looking forward to it, Semper Fi!
Was interested in the flat as an edc and ran across this vid. This pack is so good we needed another dimension of measurement to measure how awesome it is.
I literally walked into your shop when this video was being filmed on Tuesday afternoon. An LEO colleague and I came from a long, long way off and made it a point to check out your shop and bought quite a bit of product in the process. Love the gear, all that you contribute to the training world and have been a follower/fan since the first of the Magpul videos. It was however more than a bit of a disappointment that the guy helping us wouldn't even begin to entertain our request for a quick 5 minute "hello" with Travis who we could see walking around behind the glass in the showroom. Rather he just blew us off by saying sorry he's too busy. Not sure what was up but certainly left a bit of a sour taste to an otherwise great visit to your shop.
This Flatpack plus is a game changer just in its versatility alone. Just got a Multicam one in and I’m a civilian so I don’t use it for combat purposes but I do have it mounted to my plate carrier to train with. I only carry a pouch for a bigger med kit than the micro on my belt, an extra loaded front plate carrier placard and a water bladder. That’s not where I really enjoy the versatility, it’s a great bag to put the straps on and use it as a normal backpack for days trips and even bigger trips. I always carry a big suitcase on trips and then a backpack of some sort. The mesh clothes pouch is perfect for putting dirty used clothes in and the laptop case is great for carrying my laptop and a few extra mags, then of course having a decent size med kit in your bag at all times is a huge plus. Best all around bag IMO
I recently got the flat pack because I am tired of carrying my Aid bag on top of my Assault pack where it’s super awkward. I am so looking forward to this new configuration!
My buddy ran the other flat pack with the d3cr rig at the range and it was pretty nice. I just wanted something a lil bigger. Take my monies >< this just completes my d3cr ^~^
Can we expect a Disruptive Grey FlatPack+ or for a bigger EDC role? I love the standard FlatPack it is great but sometimes I want a little more space and the ability on the FlatPack+ to compartmentalize tools, medical, mags, etc is exactly what I am looking for so please make it happen brother.
1 1/2 Years - Best God Damm EDC Backpack i ever had, specially with 3 small Haley Velcro Pouches in it. I tried other Packs, just for a new Flavor but they couldn’t hold up to the Flatpack+
Love my Flatpack Plus but I would suggest that you design and sell a pair of soft/cushioned backpack straps that can be fixed to the bag for days when its primary use is as a backpack. I'd buy them.
I got my tactical fat pack in the "back to school" section of walmart for $10. Already in covert configuration! All ready for my missions to save my japanese love pillow.
Travis what about the Haley Strategic Molle Plate carrier? That's compatible with the D3 chest rig if the users wants to. that would be a a Huge hit especially because of your company, you and your team think of everything and pay extreme close attention to detail and also always try to get feedback and try to improve your products.
Spartan 04 Sounds like a great concept but not practical. The D3 system clips in so it's universal to most plate carriers. Creating a whole new plate carrier defeats one of the main draws to the D3 system and unless HSP PC did something innovative, why go after an already saturated market? Also, the profit margin is typically higher on these smaller units that are universal than having to sew up a whole labor intensive plate carrier that most likely would have a lower profit margin for the company. Also, the market of consumers that need a plate carrier is more likely smaller than consumers that just need a chest rig.
Travis, how about videos on your workout routine. I remember the ones where you had some stuff but it kinda trailed off. know you're busy but just a thought. thanks
As a PL I carry around a bunch of extra crap, examples: Overlays, products, tmk's, radios, etc. Is the flatpack plus (ran as a small "assault pack") a good option for this? I'm looking for something that can be run underneath a rucksack while wearing a plate carrier or IOTV if need be. Any guidance would be appreciated from Travis or others that are in the know. Thanks!
21:9 Gaming if that's a real question, is a measurment of volume. It represents one inch of height, one inch of width, and one inch of length. imagine a bunch of those little blocks filling up the bag, and that's how much space there is. An inch is about 3.1 cm
TJ Bach it was sarcasm. TJ what you have described is a cubic inch a 3 dimensional measurement of volume. a square inch is a 2 dimensional measurement of surface area.
I wish you ship internationally with a friendly price hahah I had to place an order and send it to a shipping company. Cant find any of these in Australia.
Well...nice to know what my tax return is going to be spent on. Also going to try and pitch the D3CM micro to the higher ups. Would be a major inprovement to the drop leg mag pouch and gun belt they have us running now.
Is it still 500D like the original flapjack? I got the flapjack and like it but would've like a bit thicker material but it likely would be harder to zip up, decompress, etc. I'm likely buying one of these too!
A friend of mine who has the Flatpack Plus mounted on his plate carrier has issues with it sagging. Are there any methods to alleviate this? From the looks of it, it seems that the Plus is wide enough to cover 6 columns of MOLLE webbing.
So long as it has a molle webbing system yes. My only reason for browsing through the comments is wondering how hard it is to remove once on. Assuming I need to get into my pack for an emergency item, there would be no fast way to do it aside from removing the whole plate carrier..
Yeah. However, a guy I know complains about it sagging. I was thinking of getting some sort of rigid insert panel to solve this, but he's being a complete bubba and suggesting that he make it himself... out of sheet metal... Riskit, the thing about the flatpack is that it's for your team to access rather than for you to use yourself. If you need something for quick-access, I suggest wearing a standalone pack over top of your plate carrier/flat pack.
Are you going to make the medical panels for the OG flat pack? I know they won't Velcro in but something the length of the bag that can be pulled out like a tray with those pouches Velcro'd onto it is what I've been trying to find and or make for my flat pack. As of now I have an entire combat medical loadout and a hasty harness in mine. But it's only in a ziplock bag and isn't separated by bleeding, airway, respiratory or casevac. The panel you made is perfect it just seems too big for the OG.
MA supaskunk You can get a sheet of Velcro backing and sew it in yourself or take it to a tailors shop. I had it done by the dry cleaners that sewed on my name tapes and such for $15 in an assault pack. Then just use the HSP pouches in your flat pack. Adapt and overcome but good luck man.
I would love to carry my Macbook Air in certain kit setups. Can you recommend any case or enclosure that will fit in the Flatpack+, that when I have to take a fall or go to my back, I dont have to worry about damaging the laptop? Thank you sir.
Any plans on Making the new straps available for the OG flatpack so we can have a sternum strap on that one? I put a 3l hydration bladder in there on a run for some weight and it turned out to be a pain as it would shift around alot.
What are the overall dimensions (H x W x D) of the main compartment when fully expanded. This info is not on the webpage or anywhere at this time? Thanks in advance!
Not at this time, as everyone will want to build this pack out differently. however, we may after we start collecting data of what people typically package.
