I love that even the "weakest" doomguy (doom 3 doom guy) when you think about it is still a force to be reckoned with. Even he having to reload, take over and move the slowest alone still took on armies of hell in doom 3.
He earned his right to stand beside the others because he ended an invasion of hell (There were 2 Marines that closed the portals to hell in Doom 3 and Resurrection of Evil). So whomever the helmet clad marine is he stands proud of the lucky few who can honestly say that they put fear into a demons heart.
@@NomaranTheAlchemistthe 2nd marine didn't actually closed it,when he took the artefact that opened a gate between hell and mars,so he had to redeem himself and close the gate but it was easier for him because you know,he had the artefact, that thing basically makes you a super human but in the end he died, doom marine didn't have anything but his melee shotgun and the soul cube to fight the cyberdemon and close the portal.
I like how they each show unique characteristics to their respective timelines. Classic Doomguy is fuming with rage, which makes sense cause at the time he was both in a berserker state fueled by rage and fear Doom 3 he started to enjoy the bloodshed after a while, the fear is gone, just madness remains Doom 2016 the madness and rage is under control, he is the ultimate warrior Doom Eternal is not angry, he's just fed up and frustrated, he takes it out by killing them in the most brutal and vicious way possible cause he's a bit of a sadist.
Also he’s not a sadist because he killed the devil himself, he kills every single demon hell can produce, he killed the icon of sin he is religion is two things his bunny and Christianity
Now imagine if the Slayers came through a Chaos gate into the 40k universe. Untold slaughter would be unimaginable if they molded themselves a faction.
In my experience, so long as it has the Doom brand, the material within isn't mutually exclusive with the main canon and John Romero gives us the go ahead by saying all WADs are canon, then it's canon.
And what if let me cook here all of the Doom Guy's final boss's meet-up and fought the DoomGuy's it would be like DoomSlayer(Doom Enternal) vs MeliDict(Doom 3) DoomSlayer(2016) vs The Icon of Sin(Doom Enternal) Doom Marine vs Spider MasterMind(2016) and DoomGuy vs all the Boss's from all the Doom games or the Guardian(V2 Doom 3)
I like to think he is the most relaxed of the Doombros and if this was a show or a movie he would be the "human", down to earth componenent of the team.
i love how 2016 doom guy just gets in your face like “the fuck are you gonna do?”, kind of makes sense though since he IS probably the most violent. Eternal doom guy jus shows off a head to scare you.
Eternal Doomguy is a bit more relaxed. He doesn't immediately tear his enemies apart and lets let have their monologue (save for the Hell Priests, though it's on them for trying to bargain with death) 2016 Doomguy has a hangover from his last rampage and is keen to get his buzz back on. Full anger, zero patience. If you're not human, you've got 3 seconds to do your thing before the Slayer turns you into paste.
@@mihalos Nope! That Doom Marine is from Doom 3, specifically the 2nd expansion campaign dubbed The Lost Mission. Actually, he's one of three Doom Marines that you can play in Doom 3, but if I recall correctly, he's the only one who keeps his helmet on.
The Doom Slayers and Doomguy recognized The Marine's sheer tenacity and iron will to survive and beat back the forces of hell by himself and even though it was they who ended the fight they will always remember the Marine for his contributions to the fight against hell
Makes senss that the Eternal one is the one with the glowing eye because of lore, but honestly the fact original doomguy survived all that shit while he was just a human is scarier in a way. For the demons i mean
god this animation has gotten so realistic its insane. the little details make up so much for it, the quick quivering after every little movement, the breathing, the easing into each movement its incredible. another job well done
I love how 2016 Doom Guy looks like he's trying to loom over the camera but also look it straight in the face like that bevis and butthead scene, the "we're going to be talking about the-" scene
Doomguy: can berserk the longest with the most health Doom marine: is the best with all of the guns Doom slayer 2016: the fastest of them all Doom eternal slayer: can double jump and can use the crucible
DOOMGUY: [COSMETIC]: Centered viewmodels + 1993 HUD, *cannot glory kill,* can run the fastest, does not need fuel to use Chainsaw but does not use it as an insta-glorykill machine, and starts with pistol + shotgun MARINE: *Runs slowest, shotgun nerfed* but super shotgun buffed, has special flashlight, and starts with pistol 2016: 2nd to speed to Doomguy, can glory kill, *has no flashlight,* can double jump. Starts with pistol + shotgun ETERNAL: Same as in single-player, can glory kill and double jump, can use crucible and chainsaw
I was thinking to amp each games core style as in: DoomEternal slayer would be fast mobile with chansaw and crucible options with weapon switch combos Doom16 slayer would be the powerhouse with weapons but without dashes and meathook quite a bit less agile I played doom 1-2 but cant grasp those styles quite well nor can i for doom3
I still think that killer billy is doom guy’s grandfather in a parallel universe. Looks the same, timeline fits, the advanced tech explains why they are testing portals on mars in 2014, no one mentioned nazis but I imagine either the nazis didn’t get their hands on the tech or that even saying the word might get you executed
@@pikelboi9674 fun fact: bj blazivich or how ever you say his name is actually his great grandfather, and commander keen is his grandfather and yes this is cannon and if it isnt anymore then i reject your reality and replace it my own
@@onionman5484i would be mad too if i spent thousand years inside hell trying to contain the evil take a quick lil nap and wake up only to find out world has been breached again because some scientists want to find free electricity
Those small little "shaking" movements after they stop, like the one that holds the demonhead at you with the one ominously glowing eye. Look at his shoulder, it really gives you an impression that these guys are fighting to hold in their raw aggression for our sake..we mortals couldn't even handle what real power they hold in those muscles
The principles of animation are so damn good in this, the way the armor rustles after most of them move, it’s really well done and adds a lot of impact to their movement!
Seeing Doom Marine here is nice because while they are all badass. Doom guy will rip a demons face off to patch a old basketball. Doom Marine is just a cold mfer. Literally doesnt get angry, scared or, excited.
Anyone else just love when OG guy is at the camera and the others are looking on with respect. It’s really cool to me because despite the newer versions (which i prefer tbh cuz i first played eternal) being more savage when fighting demons the fact OG guy is still respected and “wiser” just makes it all the better.
Animation is hella clean, really love how you also didnt just copy the D4DJ op frame for frame and put your own spin on it! Also Mick Gordon's Lawbreakers music fits perfectly.
DClassic: Tear through to survive and revenge D3: Kill and demolishe to combat and survive D2016: Annihilate because "f*ck demons" DEternal: Destroy because "f*ck all this supernatural bullsh*t" Also, kinda have a feeling that DEternal/2016 guy has an aura of killing with grace, with 0 curse words even in mind, full control, while in Classic and D3 there is some sort of panic, that slowly turns into something that normal humans just can't understand. Kinda rage, but more like with notes of mindbreak
I would kill for 1440p or 4k screenshots of this. The shot where all four doomguys are standing, and one of each doing their respective face in the camera poses.
