spacechampion 1) If he greased his threads properly they wouldn't be locked on like crazy 2) Reverse rotating instead of using the top breakout jaws puts unnecessary stress on the Head. If your fitters saw you doing that, they'd lose their shit!
i run a d5 and d7 before ...i currently running a furukawa 1500... atlas copco drills are no match to furukawa the only downside with furukawa drills are the weight distribution
This is white shirt and tie drilling. I have run Ingersol Rand drills, standing out in the wind driven slush and pouring rain, with thick mud up to my knees, for days, drilling out quarry shots. With no steel rack, we had to hoist each steel onto the collar of the last steel for as many lengths of drill steel needed for 50-70 foot holes, then pulling the steel, we had to unthread the #2100, x 14 ft. drill steel lengths by hand. We heated our lunches in the compressors and stood in the rain, slush, wind and snow to enjoy our lunch break. These new drills are for tender foots.
