Plays in Taito. This was heard in some of the game's promotional material. It might be my favorite song on the soundtrack. Atlus & Sega own all of this, not me.
This theme hits you hard the first time you enter the area. The other 3 areas were linear... now you are thrown in the middle of the map and choose which place you want to go first. Which boss to fight first, which abscess to go after first, exploring feels just like the 1st area again, if even more desperate to find those leyline crossings.
I was angry at first cause I kept getting clapped left and right then I started exploring with a lot of caution and it felt like being lost in a hostile, cruel world which is what I've always loved about smt
@@illuminoeye_gaming I don't think my first comment went through for whatever reason but yoooooooo what's up Illuminoeye? Crazy running into you here. It's skooky doong from Twitter
Homeboy TLGoomba listens to SMT5 ost. You've got great taste dude. Highly recommend SMT4's ost is god tier and the game is great to if you've got the time. (£18 on the 3ds Digital Eshop. Played through it on my N2DS XL)
This song reminds me of humanity as a whole and how our beliefs built or destroyed our future. Sadly, it mostly reminds me of Greed and Apathy blowing through the centuries like a never ending wind.
humanity stacked it's resistance affinity into bufu hence the ice age was defeated, we forgot to stack ones on ailment, agi and force the sweeping wind burns humanity, it's a toxic vilement ailment spent oil, plastic, round and round they go vested on arbitrary wars, the successors too were that of dim witted origin or inherently flawed design when goodness is a punishment and evil a reward, humanity as a whole, lost the course of a truthful wind
I almost never buy games on a whim, but I saw this used at gamestop and got it. Never played smt or persona, but something about the art clicked with me, and...yeah. Good decision. Beautiful, elegant, imperfect but outstanding. What a wonderful game.
Wow, I never even noticed the woman’s voice while playing the game... must be because of all the background noise and the “Oh you want some? Well do ya?”
I love and hate this track at the same time. Beautifully composed, really summarizes the feeling of a final chapter. And that brings me to my second point, I hate this track *because* it signals the end. Because that means the game will be over soon. Amanozako leaves, your friends are on their way to the empyrean, the regions you cleared have no more quests or special enemies and there’s but one way left to go. Always hate it when great games come to their conclusion cuz I don’t wanna stop playing them and be impressed
my fav final area in a game ever, exploring it was so much fun despite how challenging it was (on hard) but it made it feel so rewarding. I basically explored the whole place before fighting any of the bethel leaders and then found out i had still missed places. Laid out so well.
It is time. This world is coming to a close, and only a true ruler can determine the shape of the next. Two seek the throne for themselves, seek the lost knowledge and power the Creator stole from them. Two seek the throne for that same Creator, who even in death they serve loyally. Two seek the throne for their country, that together, many gods will succeed where one failed. Two seek the throne's destruction, to free human and demon alike from an all-powerful ruler. Two care not for the throne, for the end of all things precedes creation regardless. What of you Nahobino? Mighty King. Give us your answer.
@@litessbu Odin and Thor & Shiva and Vasuki. Odin and Thor are not aligned but their end goal is the same, to become the new top god. Vasuki seeks to prevent others from reaching the through as that right is “Lord Shiva’s alone” Shiva will finish the destruction of the world in order to bring about creation through Brahma, no throne required.
Seeking the throne for themselves : Odin and Zeus (damn, thunder gods do be real pieces of work) Seek the throne for the same creator : Abdiel and Dazai (Abdiel rubbed me right off the gate... fitting since her own name implies slavery) Seek the throne for their Country : Tsukuyomi and Yuzuru (why was Yuzuru not the second nahobino at Chiyoda itself.. Koshimizu knew from day 1 yuzuru was his half... wasted opportunity) Destroy the throne : Yakumo and Nuwa also Shiva and Vasuki (i mean... shiva gives zero fucks about the contest anyways, yakumo while making sense, is a bit of a hypocrite due to nuwa) Khonsu and Miyazu : Like her brother, another wasted opportunity
Holy shit, it does sounds like the Cliffs of Morytha and to a lesser degree it also reminds me of the Mechonis Central Factory from Xenoblade 1. The way this game has made me remember Xenoblade 2 as actually made me like SMT V much more than I expected.
This area broke me. Having to fight demons that used to be bosses, now just wandering around as normal enemies? It's a thing some games do as proof of how far you've come, but the real trouble for me was one of the abscesses. I got instantly killed by a Mudoon weakness...twice. Somehow I never learned that demons are stronger when they're fused than when they're just picked up, kind of like trained Pokemon. Fuck this, I'm going to Safety mode.
I knew that when I would read the comments on this song, it would be like this What a song and atmosphere conveyed ! I did a pause on the game for some months, I was just before Surt Now I'm in Taito Banger game
I'm in this area right now..... Love the Blue scene. The music matches it perfectly....... Even though I find myself going around in circles I also find myself humming the background music. XD
a re-contexualised version... both are the same track kiccigiorgi is horror and atmospheric taito is more...heroic/melancholic (another fued of higher powers, extinction is nigh)
This is such an amazing OST, it sounds melancholic and kind of sad and it perfectly encapsulated my mood when I got to the area of this game, so much wasted potential, a rushed story, a final area that is esthetically beautiful, but is not fun to play and drained all motivation out of me to finish the game, this could have been so much more than it is, I am sorry I don't like it that much, I still love the game, since it is still Shin Megami Tensei, but this just ruined the game for me on many levels..
@@Kokuori Well opinions vary! I loved everything about the game, just not the last quarter, felt like something was missing to me, gameplay wise too since it is such an insane grind there (and that just didn't feel right at that moment, since the game didn't need grinding to that extent, up until that point) I mean, the last area definitely has gotten better over time, did a run-through for all Miman and that was more fun than the first run-through already! OST is awesome in general!
@@umbral9911 honestly I get what you mean, I came in around 60ish and encountered enemies around 52ish to 60. Then here comes an Oni about 62 and Orochi kicking my ass at 72. Though I still enjoyed the area even if it got confusing at times
i personally story wise loved it except for that i feel like we worked with bethel for WAY to long, but i respect your opinion and can see where you’re coming from
It honestly makes me wonder if Covid might've caused the last portion of the game to be rushed because despite loving the game the last area really does have a sort of "unfinished" vibe to it and even the story seemed to imply there would've been alternate routes based on your alignment that never actually materialize as you just fight all the factions anyway.
