You're correct. Tho, when I did tell on my abusers the gaslight gossiping they had created about me to make me the 'bad guy' has cost me to this day as the lies won over truth since my father was 1st since I was baby, but then allowed other relatives. Such abuses are more rampant than many would believe. Best to you 🤗❤️
What about all those people who did less and will never see the light of day. It's nice when Netflix makes you famous. But other deserve a 2nd look too.
I agree with you that there's a lot of injustice in the so called justice system besides just the Menendez case, but it's worth noting that the case was already hugely famous before the Netflix show. Millions of eyes have been on this case since the very beginning
I agree with you but it doesn’t make this case any less important and they deserve justice too, since even before the show this was a big case. Others do deserve justice as well but so do they and their “fame” shouldn’t take that away :)
As a survivor since I was a baby which my father allowed other relatives as well then he/they chastised me in vile gossip so I'd not be believed when I told, long story, I'm now a 78 elder woman which took me 'til 72 y.o. to get a grip on my (C)PTSD. I guarantee 'molestation' ie child rape is a lifetime of dysfunction. Some react in fight, some flight but in my case I couldn't run away from myself's shame, low self-esteem, unworthiness, etc., forever. Sadly my youth & aspirations were robbed from the start. Unless one survives such you'll not ever comprehend the devastation & degradation for life that one endures, tho each case is unique as sexual abuse is a wound no surgery will ever heal. If you work hard enough in time you can move on. You never "just get over it" nor "just let it go" but you can move forward. When life gives you a bunch of poop you turn it into fertilizer & grow something good out of it......but you have to learn to heal 1st. Hug lots, hugs often.... starting with yourself 🤗❤️.
The Fact that the POS judge did not allow the information or testimony about the abuse they endured was unjustified. The judge just wanted to get done with the case and move on.
If you unable to escape/ leave the home, then yes, it absolutely does. I did the same thing when I was a 19 year old girl to my father, with a bat. He had used his wealth and political connections to completely prevent me from being able to leave, even forcing me to sign back into his custody until I turnd 25 after using the fact Im on the Spectrum against me. All 3 of my older siblings got locked up long before me for attempting to take him out. Then that night, he was going at my mom again, and I couldn't take it anymore. I grabbed a bat, confronted him, and I walked away and he didn't. I was sentenced to 10 Years for 1st deg homicide. The reason I didn't get Life was the extreme mitigating factors of his abuse, which he committed in every form, against all of us, for YEARS. I have scars on my body from him, including between my legs when he took a blade to me to scare me out of wetting the bed when I was 11. Sorry, but parents like that have no sympathy from me, and I KNOW what it's like to live through this. The Menendez brothers 100% don't deserve Life. If they had done this recently, rather than decades ago, they would've been given a lesser sentence, like I was, bc the courts understand now how much abuse affects us and mitigates this.
This is fair. They should be released, they've served their time for the crimes they committed to end the crimes that were being perpetrated against them.

I don’t think they claim nor want to be hero’s. They both actually take accountability and make it very clear they do not condone their crime or want it overlooked. But.. after years of SA and narcissistic abuse they should of been sentenced under imperfect self defense and voluntary manslaughter
so this confresence was a waste of time..pretty much, they still have to go up for parole (if the judge agrees) and the prob. wont get it the first time or even the the 2nd time,,,,,im betting they wont get out for awhile..all the attorneys are on TV now.....saying the same thing the brothers killed for MONEY the parole Board knows also the just could say i give you "50 years" and they stay in

it is time that we as a society evolve past our views of the 'perfect victim' and that we become more educated on the effects of childhood S/A, abuse and trauma. This case is a big opportunity for our judicial system to change in a significant way. For anyone truly interested in the truth and in justice, please watch the court tapes. Victims that are flawed are characterized as asking for it in some way or another and to a greater or lesser degree, but it's a malignant societal characteristic to fail to see people as more than good guys or bad guys. Their father tormented children into adults who could end him without regret, they probably needed to be locked up but in good psychiatric care. Abuse changes children, so the father created his own end
The Menendez brothers are also going to have access to potential lots of money, with a defamation suit they should file against Netflix and Ryan Murphy for that absolutely slanderous "Monster" docudrama that defamed them.

Seems like a good thing to me. If everyone now has a microphone, if enough people say the same thing, they listen to us. That's what a government IS SUPPOSED TO DO in my opinion. I believe the brothers…about the molestation, the terror, the absolute control over them by a pathological narcissistic man living at the apex of society in Beverly Hills. I also believe that the brothers committed an extreme error in judgment, as much as I wouldn’t ever want to be either of them; living with the knowledge of what was done in the name of an escape and release from the tyranny imposed by a man who should have been their promoter, their counselor, their advocate in their young lives. These two have suffered enough, pre and post trials. I believe they deserve to be released immediately. They are no threat to society at large. Both have lead exemplary lives within the prison system and have the ability to easily transition into current society with plenty of family and public support from the moment they step into freedom. The rest is between the two brothers and God.
You're telling me they had time to escape the house and search the town for firearms but didn't have time to report the abuse to the authorities, as grown adults (21, 22)? So they were of sound mind to go spend money that they shouldn't have gotten because of murder? The abuse was never proven in fact they started paying friends to say they suffered abuse as well. True, the father was a dictator and the mother was suicidal. The photos that you sited as "graphic naked photos" were photos taken at a birthday party from the waste down of little kids with their clothes on. Also, the judge rendered these photos irremissible because it was NOT determined who took those photos. For months, these 2 plotted their parents' murders because they knew they were written out of the will!
Free them, they did a lot of time in jail already for what they did. I believe they are changed men, and I also think they won’t do that again. They put up with so much abuse, they had no choice to do what they did. Abuses use threats, and even threatened to KL you if you say something. Their father was a monster, and their mother did nothing but add to that, she was a bad mother to her sons. They have paid their dues.

Just curious if they were released where would they live and what would be the source of income? Obviously they won't be living in a fancy mansion anymore in my opinion I believe they paid their debt to society
Well we will never know if the father actually did it or not but usually most kids don’t murder there parents with out serious reason unless they are insane kinda how I look at kids who do mass shootings a lot times they get bullied to there breaking points and teachers or principals basically the adults in there life do nothing to intervene or help

Yes, there is an excuse. They didn't know anything about a normal life. They knew sexual abuse, physical,verbal,and emotional abuse. Just like you said, "They had no hopes of ever getting out of prison." They had no hopes of getting away from their horrible evil parents and feared for their lives and nobody helped them. It was a crime of passion meaning they flipped about what they did to them and what they would continue to do and that they never loved them just that they seemed to love to abuse them. Please just set them free already.
