I first played DAO five years ago after my daughter passed away. The world of thedas helped me with processing my grief and guilt. Seeing a new game being announced near her birthday has been so meaningful to me. I'm excited to play the game and can't wait for the release. Thank you for all your work on the council and keeping us updated!

Glad to hear that the backgrounds aren't class locked. I wanted to pick Mourn Watch for my dwarf warrior, but was worried that it might be exclusive to mages.

By the Maker, this sounds AMAZING! The fact that we are choosing our world state within the game and not through the keep made me shout out "YES!" because I've always had issues with importing my world state to Inquisition with the keep. All of this sounds so promising, I cannot wait!

Honestly, got rather scared today when I saw asmon post a reaction going "who is this game even for?", then I saw another vid got posted from someone I don't know going "the series that lost its soul." Honestly, never heard of who posted that second vid so I didn't watch cause I don't trust someone who I don't know if they've played or know the previous games to tell me if it's "lost it's soul" As for asmon... He's a WoW player. He's not exactly the kind of person I'd see be a fan of dragon age and he's never mentioned the series as far as I know so I didn't watch his vid either. I knew you'd no doubt post soon so I waited. And you've not mentioned anything that's crazy bad so far. Only things that are different.

I playtested DA:I back in 2012 at EA Redwood Shores. It was super fun!

I was utterly underwhelmed by both the trailer and the gameplay reveal (and that is putting it nicely), and I can't say I disagree with a lot of the negative feedback. I'll still give the game a chance once it's released, simply because first impressions and "don't judge a book by its cover", and all that. Plus, I love that they added characters from the novels and comics. And, of course, Harding! I wonder if that little reveal about her is tied to the titans. Also, after watching your video, I feel a bit more hopeful for the game!

ah, those BSN flashbacks. They were the best of times, they were the worst of times. I look at them mostly~ fondly. But may the Maker smile on BioWare’s team.

I think the only thing I've heard that I'm having a hard time keeping optimistic about is the linear mission based structure. I thought at first if that meant it was more like 2 I'd be okay with that, but the person they interviewed said it won't be like 2 or inquisition so im worried about how much is going to be missing

I can't get over how incredible Minrathous looks, just like I dreamed, perhaps even a larger scale than I imagined, incredible set design. Rogue gameplay looks very clean and kinetic, mobile, almost souls like esque and I just can't wait.

Correction: blood splatter was not turned off during the gameplay trailer. If you slow it down and watch it it’s there - it just doesnt stay on the floor/gear so it doesnt look impactful/bad

I know you can't say what you know but I'm curious how MUCH you know. Just wondering if those on the Council have seen so much that when they play it won't be much of a blind playthrough.

I am honestly surprised at how excited I was to see Harding back as a full companion. Like, I saw "Harding joins the party" in the Gameplay Trailer and I totally "WOOHOO!!!"-ed out loud. I love Lace. There is no way she isn't one of my mains on the first playthrough! Also stoked about the customizable Inquisitor return and not having to use Keep.

How many abilities can we use???

Hi is the gameplay gonna be as long as dragon age inquisition? or gonna be way shorter? i heard mounts aren't needed so that got me worried.. We all know bioware is good at making companions and stories, that was also good about anthem i just hope the rest comes together aswell.

so the keep will probably be shut down. We need an update for inquisition :(

This seems from what’s shown to be DA2 again, not a bad thing (love that game) - just design/structure wise, UI/tactical options more streamlined, console focused, get the feeling it’s tighter arena wise and less sprawling than DAI but I’m sure there will be wider areas not shown yet. But honestly I just wanted a blight, what does a guy have to do to get to slaughter waves of dark spawn and lead a fractured nation to resist a blight again. Looking forward to the game & loving the videos.

Someone commented that Solas doesn‘t have the dagger in his hand when he turns around to the gods behind him right at the end of the gameplay trailer. And they also said they saw Varric lying on the stairs… so did Solas stab Varric with the dagger and that‘s how Rook gets the dagger? By pulling it out of Varrics body? What do you think? Do you see it too? 🥺😭
