Question for you bro. I notice there are 2 versions of the video. This one where Quran does the first 2 verses and an alternate video where Taj does the second verse (like the album version). Any reason why? I use to hear rumblings of dissension and things but that was the 90's so no real internet to clear it up. Just noticed so curious.
@@SpiritualNaz I’m sure it was real awesome too lmao now you guys make fun of my generation when you guys have memories of cheap rent ffs lmao you realize how much pussy you can get with cheap rent?
The music of my formative years...a random group popping up in the selection of other songs on a mixtape my friend would let me borrow. Just rolling with that mix tape every day.
They were supposed to release the album icons in 1997 but for some unknown reason it never got released but u could find the full album on RU-vid and icons ll released in 2019
By 1997 the quality of beats on the East Coast was on a serious downward trend. So a 1997 album by them would not have been all that great. Indeed, what they did record around that time but did not release does have some moments, but overall is average.
@@GM53946 by 97 New York was being swarmed by the Puff shitty Bad Boy sound of overproduction courtesy of Clark Kent, The Hitmen, etc. Gone was the era of DITC, Beatminerz, Erick Sermon, Pete Rock
I definitely need an tv one unsung episode of Da Youngsta's(Illy Funkstaz) Would be nice to know more about their experiences in the music industry as young kids, what they been through because they don't get the credit that they deserve as far as philly hip hop and also for people who didn't know their music back then. That's my 2 cents Because I really love their music
Da youngsters. Classic music video they are the next onyx. Straight Outta, Philly, Philly.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾🚬🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬
Listen up to the rhymes I drop as I kick mad flavor from my Verbal Glock. I - shock the crowd like a volt of lightning. It's frightening the type of rhymes I be writing. Exciting when I pick up the mic and start reciting. You take a hike like a viking. Taj Mahal won't stall or fall. Ready to brawl. I'm solid like a brick wall. So listen up to the word I say as I spray. (What?) Rhymes like an A-K. - Mad Props, Taji
