Get tickets to "The Phantom of the Opera": www.broadway.co... This week Sierra Boggess takes us back into the exclusive Club Christine. In part two, Sierra chats with 10 more of the "Phantom"'s past and present Christines.
I love hearing the Christines talk about their Phantoms, you can tell they had real bonds with them. And it's poignant to see them get emotional about Phantoms that passed, like Kevin Gray.
Karis Daae Oh no wonder your username looked so familiar. You're the same person that read my fanfic a month ago or something like that www.fanfiction.net/r/10896796/
I feel like they still need to alliterate the name of the group, though. For example, club Christine could be countered by, say, the Phantom Phraternity
I admire all of you, I can't imagine how you felt about being Christine, is such an amazing role and one of my favorites! You lucky girls! Congratulations!!
I grew up with the Original London cast album, and my first Christine live was Trista on the road in Minneapolis! I remember it so vividly. I was in middle school and knew the score inside and out and I just was sitting there in complete awe and amazement. I remember flinching at the chandelier (you know it's coming but the first time you experience it, gosh it kinda freaks you out!) and marveling at all the sights and sounds. Someday I'd like to join Club Christine :)
It is amazing to me that every one of these women can be so different and so beautiful in their own right at the same time. The power just may be in the character.
I understand the whole fast-changing thing. I was casted two years ago in a ballet where I had all of 20 seconds to change from a girl to a boy and I always and forever put the pants of my costume on wrong. So fun.
Trista and TMG were my Christine and Erik in Cleveland where I first fell in love with POTO! How cool to see her out of costume with Sierra, my favorite Christine! :)
I live in Virginia, about 20 minutes from DC and I always go to the Kennedy Center for shows and when Laurie said that when she joined it was at the Kennedy Center then, I was thinking: Can they come back to the Kennedy Center? I wanna see them live.
Oh my gosh!! D'arcy was my first Christine! I saw her at the Pantagious Theater in Los Angeles. It was around the time that Sarah Brightman was supposed to sing, but there was some legal mumbo jumbo preventing her. I was so enthralled and wanted to be a Christine right there and then. I studied singing and ballet, but was discouraged from pursuing it. It was so great to see her again.
I met Sandra Joseph in SLC, Utah while I was serving a 2 year mission! She was nice. Rebecca Pitcher was my first Christine! I saw Trista Moldovan as Carlotta in the touring company of Phantom last year. Please check out my interview with her!
Karen Culliver was a back-up Christine in San Francisco for Franc D'Ambrosio and Lisa Vroman. I think I saw her at the Curran Theater in the late 1990s.
Can they come back to the Kennedy Center so I can see them live? Because I see all my shows at the Kennedy Center since Im about 20 minutes away from DC.
+Katie Tucker That still confuses me though. Because she said she auditioned the same day Adrienne did, and she didn't get it, but then they called her and told her she got it. But when she says the years she did it, it was 4 years BEFORE Adrienne did it.
