Hi Guys, not sure if this is possible or not, maybe you can tell me or if you have any other suggestions. Can I set the pump to switch on when a flow rate is exceeded rather than when the pressure drops? I have a large property and I suspect that there are a few leaks in the water system and as such my current pump tends to cycle about once every 2 minutes to keep the pressure up (I have a pressure tanks as well). I have a low positive pressure on the whole property as the tank is at the top of the property, I would like the pump to switch on when a tap is opened and increases flow rather than when the pressure drops. Is that possible with the DAB's?
Maybe have a bypass with a check valve going around the pump to the outlet, then set your restart pressure to just below the static pressure from the source
This truly is an amazing pump. I installed one under my cabin and honestly dint have high hopes at the time. I unboxed it. Hooked it up. And it’s been issue free for 5 years. I guess it even has some sort of antifreeze device? I almost forgot about it and noticed it the other day when I was under there. On the back is has a plug with an oil can on it. I’m I suppose to be oily or changing the oil in this?
How come my unit is detecting 3.5 bar on the line when there is no water on the line at all. I actually set my bar pressure to 5.5bar which when measured at the tap is equal to 2 bar.
That doesn't sounds right. You would expect a small pressure drop on the line bit not typically that much. See if you can test before and after your pressure regulator as it might be faulty. It could also be that the feed to the pump is too restricted or that the pump is more than 2m higher than the water level. If it is non of these things contact DAB as their support is quite good.
@@garocompgaro Not sure what the impeller material is, it was brand new and installed inside a room in my house, so stable ambient temp, himidity was around 70% at its highest but that aside I did have low voltage errors from 2021 so perhaps a manufacturing problem. I replaced that unit with another and on this install used a wider diameter intake pipe(32mm). It runs to spec now. Must of been a unique problem with the first unit.
@@garocompgaro Max Fluid Temperature: 40˚C and Max Ambient Temperature: 50 ˚C so it think your fluid temp might go over spec. On the impeller, they just say it is a polymer impeller but I am not sure of the exact composition.
