I like DaBaby, but damn I didn’t even know he was dropping an album 🤷♂️ I think too many rappers think they can be like Kendrick or Drake and just drop whenever they want to. For DaBaby, I need to hear a few singles, see a video, build some hype around it. Like I wouldn’t have touched DJ Khaled’s album if he didn’t hype it so much. Artists gotta know how to market.

Dababy dropped “Waitress” and “Tough Skin” before he dropped this tape. Both unique and fire songs with dope ass videos. He’s a marketing genius to me especially with the Halloween themed album.

DaBaby just fell off. He likely would’ve sold a lot more just because he would’ve received the industry push, but either way he was destined to fall off after five years.
dababy doesn’t suck, I was a big fan of his when he first got on but it just got so repetitive after a while that I just stopped listening to him because I already knew what I was gonna get before I listened to it and I think a lot of ppl did the same

The faster an artist blows up, the shorter their run is. The last time we saw this was Fetty Wap. Sometimes it’s BETTER for an artist to start off SLOW and eventually build up a huge FANBASE.
