what's your favorite program to write in? 🤔what should I try next?
@justinwr092
@justinwr092 2 месяца назад
so far I've tried ms word, google docs, obsidian, scrivener, clay tablets, and the blood of my enemies. I like obsidian the best so far, but I'm about to try Dabble because of this video

Are you still using dabble or have you moved to campfire? What i like about dabble is that plotting area but the cost seems a bit steep for that.

@@jm7720 still on Dabble. The cost is high period imo

@@jm7720 currently I'm using both 😅😅 I've given campfire a thorough test drive with another full draft, and I genuinely like features of both! They have pros and cons. I love the pricing of campfire but I can't seem to let go of Dabble for doing my first drafts 😅

@@AnnaRobbinsWrites Thanks for replying. Will you be doing a vid on campfire like this one? It was very clear your video. Thanks

Oooh this was such a good review and walkthrough! I've been looking for something different to write, because Scrivener has too much for me and it gets cluttered so fast. This seems to have all the things I love from scrivener, without any of the procrastiplanning tools I tend to sink time in! I also love that it's browser based because I like to draft on different devices. Thank you so much for sharing 😍

ooh this is so fascinating! one of my biggest cons to scrivener is the lack of integration with other programs so I've been considering switching to something else. This is super helpful and I'd loveeee to see a Campfire review and walkthrough in the future! 🥰

I tried Dabble looong ago and couldn’t get into it, but I feel like I’ve changed so much since then, and you’ve explained things about it so well, that I might just have to try it again! Which is funny because Scrivener has been my favorite for years lol, but I can definitely see and agree with the things you’ve pointed out about it. 😂 I would DEF love to hear what you think of Campfire! 💖

Aw thank you April!! 💞 I think all three of them definitely have their own strengths ☺️ As long as you have a program that works for you, that's all that matters! 🧡

Is it safe to use Scrivener and dabble? Ex: If I wanted to copy and paste my book to see word/ page count and separate by scenes, that would be safe?

Hi there. I can't seem to find the adjustment for zoom level in Dabble Writer. I only have a few days left on my trial and I can't figure that out. I don't want to purchase if I can't zoom in like you can in Word and other writing apps. Does anyone know? Thanks!
@AnnaRobbinsWrites
@AnnaRobbinsWrites 16 дней назад
@@Cowdog1 since it's browser based, you would use the same controls as you would to zoom in on any other webpage :) for example, on PC that's hitting Ctrl and Plus. Best wishes!

Ewwwww! Subscription? No thanks. It takes hours of work to cancel a SUB. If the SUB is from a 3rd party, like Paddle - it could take weeks to cancel if at all. The they creep back in. Buy software once and use it forever. With Scrivener I use Type Mode and hammer out my first Draft. So fat I'm 6 months in and have no idea of Word Count. The important thing is to get the ideas out of my head and into a document. My final 1st draft is converted into plain text - off to the races - into MS-Word and start the process of submission to my peers for comments. In my limited experience, the easy way is the best way. No Complications, please.

Yeah, but, they can completely see yor writing as you go, and also steal your ideas. To believe they wouldnt is naive. You'll see many hollywood writers stay completely offline.
